Something Is Opening Up Next Week On NXT

That could be anything. There are a lot of different ways to present a new star or group of stars, some of which are more effective than the others. One of the more interesting ways to go is to build up some intrigue in a debuting star and then eventually pay it off. That is what NXT is trying again, though this time around they have given very few hints. Now though, it is time to find something out.
During this week’s edition of NXT, a vignette aired saying that the Diamond Mine will be opening next week, on the June 22 edition of the show. This is the latest vignette in a series advertising the Diamond Mine, with the visuals showing an unknown person or group of people training in a gym. There is no word on who will be involved in the Diamond Mine or what they will be doing.
The Diamond Mine has been teased for a while now. Check out some of the vignettes and one of the most important Diamonds in wrestling history:

VIDEO: WWE Legend Attacked In Stunning Betrayal

So much for loyalty. Legends are a tricky concept in wrestling and there are several ways to use them in the wrestling world. One of the most common is to have them become a mentor for a younger star, which opens up a lot of different options. That is something NXT has been doing in recent weeks, and the story took quite the turn during this week’s television show.
This week’s edition of NXT featured the fallout from Takeover: In Your House, where LA Knight defeated Cameron Grimes to become the new Million Dollar Champion. During this week’s show, Knight was officially presented the title by DiBiase, with Knight talking about how much DiBiase meant to him. However, Knight then said that he had everything he needed and attacked DiBiase, with Grimes making the save. There is no word on how long DiBiase will be sticking around NXT.
It has been a pretty intense feud. Check out how we got here:

Major Grudge (Re)Match Set For Great American Bash

You have to start somewhere. Like any other wrestling promotion, WWE runs special events from time to time, often in addition to their monthly pay per views. Some of these have quite the history in their own right, even if they involve tapping into something that might not have originated with them. That is going to be the case next month and now we have a start to the card.
This week on NXT, General Manager William Regal broke up a fight between Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly. As a result, Regal decided that the two of them could have a singles match at the Great American Bash special on July 6. This comes after O’Reilly defeated Cole in a singles match in the main event of NXT Takeover: Stand & Deliver Night Two in April. Prior to the Great American Bash, the two will both be in singles matches on the June 22 NXT, with O’Reilly facing Kushida and Cole’s opponent to be named.
O’Reilly and Cole’s relationship goes back to their debuts in NXT in 2017 when they, along with Bobby Fish and ..

NXT Live Coverage And Results – June 15, 2021

NXT
Date: June 15, 2021
Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida
Commentators: Vic Joseph, Beth Phoenix, Wade Barrett
We’re past a pretty lackluster Takeover and that means it is time to start getting ready for the rest of the summer. I’m not sure what that is going to included but William Regal was teasing some kind of a big change. That could mean multiple things, though there are some rumors of what it could mean, most of which are rather intriguing. Let’s get to it.
We open with a recap of Takeover.
Here is a serious looking William Regal for a chat. Regal talks about being with NXT from the beginning, including starting at the commentary desk for the first Takeover. NXT has grown throughout the last few years and they have gone around the world, including to his hometown of Blackpool. Regal gets a bit emotional as he talks about everything that NXT has done for everyone involved here. He thanks everyone who took them to San Jose and Houston and Brooklyn and Portland..

Jon Moxley & Renee Paquette Welcome Their First Child

They’re parents! Earlier today, Renee Paquette announced to the world that she had given birth to her and her husband, Jon Moxley’s first child. The announcement came via Twitter this morning!
The child’s name is Eleanor and is named after Paquette’s grandmother. She made the announcement official on the May 20 episode of Oral Sessions.
She tweeted the following:
“Baby girl is officially here, so I’m checking out and becoming a mom (she’s absolutely incredible). “I have a bunch of guest hosts lined up for you guys and I started with none other than my baby daddy, cool dude husband Jon Moxley. Check it here.”

REVIEW: Bad Blood 2003: The Cell Can’t Save You

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?
Bad Blood 2003
Date: June 15, 2003
Location: Compaq Center, Houston, Texas
Attendance: 10,000
Commentators: Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler
It’s the first single brand pay per view and the question is can WWE manage to come up with ANYTHING better than what they’ve been doing on TV. They’ve basically punted on Kevin Nash as a main eventer, bringing in Mick Foley with the hopes that he and the Cell can save interest in the show. Let’s get to it.
The opening video looks at the three top stories: the main event, Goldberg vs. Ch..

Major Update On Top Impact Star’s Contract Status

Stick around a bit. The wrestling world has been changing a lot in recent months as wrestlers have leaving one promotion or another for a variety of reasons. Some of these are a little more positive than others but it can be interesting to see where a wrestler might wind up. Now we might have a better idea of where a rather talented wrestler could be seen next.
According to PWInsider.com, the belief backstage in Impact Wrestling is that Moose has come to terms on a new contract with the promotion, though this has not yet been confirmed. Moose unsuccessfully challenged Kenny Omega for the Impact Wrestling World Title last weekend at Against All Odds. The loss led some to believe that Moose was finishing up with the company.
Moose has been a star in the company for a long time. Check out some of his better moments:

Very Interesting Detail On Ted DiBiase’s Time In NXT

Sometimes you go somewhere unexpected. There have been some interesting stories taking place in wrestling over the last few months but there are very few as entertaining as Cameron Grimes attempting to be the modern day Ted DiBiase. Grimes has tried his best to live up to DiBiase’s reputation and DiBiase has been added to the story to make it feel a lot bigger. It turns out that the original plan was quite different.
According to Shawn Michaels during the NXT Takeover: In Your House media conference call, DiBiase was not originally factored into the plans for the story. Grimes began mentioning DiBiase in his promos and eventually WWE called DiBiase to see if he was willing to come in. DiBiase agreed and was brought in to the story, which soon involved the Million Dollar Title as well.
Grimes’ issues with DiBiase began when he made a good deal of money in the stock market. As a result, Grimes began attempting to imitate DiBiase’s acts of offering people money to do various demeaning t..

Controversial Monday Night Raw Angle May Be On Hold

Change of plans? There is a lot of content on any given edition of Monday Night Raw. The show runs for three hours every single week and that is the kind of show that is going to require a lot of effort for each episode. Some of the stories or ideas that are presented on any given week are going to be less popular than others, but now it seems that one has been delayed for at least a little while.
Alexa Bliss’ doll Lily did not appear on this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw. Bliss mentioned her by name but said that Lily was in a time out and would not be on this week’s show. There was no further direct mention of Lily and she did not appear. Bliss went on to face and defeat Nia Jax in a singles match, while also having a match made with Shayna Baszler for Sunday’s Hell in a Cell pay per view.
Lily made her debut after WrestleMania 37 at Bliss’ side in Alexa’s Playground. Bliss would eventually say that the doll had been influencing her for her entire life and was causing fire to ..

Major Update On Salina de la Renta’s WWE Future

She’s up next? One of the most interesting things to see in wrestling is a wrestler making a move to another promotion. There are a lot of talented wrestlers in the world today and you can see various names moving from one place to another in a pretty big change. WWE often picks up a lot of new talents and it seems that they are doing that again with a talented performer.
According to Fightful Select, Natalia Class, formerly known as Salina de la Renta in Major League Wrestling and around the independent wrestling circuit, was seen training at the WWE Performance Center. It is not clear what kind of training she has been doing. While not confirmed, this would suggest that Class has signed with WWE. If she has, there is no word on when she could be debuting. Class announced her departure from Major League Wrestling earlier this year.
You might need to get used to her. Check out what Class can do:

The Rock Offers His Surprising Pick For Biggest Match Of All Time

I’d listen to him. There have been so many wrestling matches over the years that there is no way to keep track of them all. Between matches that have headlined WrestleMania to matches held in front of ten people at a local YMCA, there is no way of knowing how many matches have taken place over the history of wrestling. Some stand out more than others though and now a legend has weighed in on the most important ever.
The WWE On Fox Twitter account sent out an image asking fans what they felt was the most important match in wrestling history. The Rock responded to the tweet, picking the Iron Sheik vs. Hulk Hogan in Madison Square Garden on January 23, 1984. Rock called the match a seminal moment for the historic implications which also had a bounty thrown into the mix.
The match in question saw Hogan defeat the Iron Sheik to become WWF Champion for the first time in his career and is considered the birth of Hulkamania in the company. There have long since been rumors of a bounty on the..

New Grudge Match Set For Hell In A Cell

Put it on the card. We are less than a week away from WWE’s next pay per view offering with Hell In A Cell but the card still has quite a few holes to fill. Coming into this week’s Monday Night Raw, there were only four matches set for the show from Monday Night Raw and SmackDown combined. That leaves a few places to go, and now one of the slots has been filled in.
This week on Monday Night Raw, a match between Shayna Baszler and Alexa Bliss was added to Hell in a Cell. The match comes after Bliss and her doll Lily have been tormenting Baszler in recent weeks. Baszler did not appear on the show, but her friend Nia Jax confronted Bliss, who agreed to the match. Bliss defeated Jax on Monday Night Raw in her first match since Fastlane, and her first competitive match since February 1.
Bliss and Baszler have had some history. Check out how we got here:
