Title Match Now Taking Place Inside Hell In A Cell

Get the Cell ready. There are certain match types in wrestling that you know makes things serious. Just hearing the name mentioned makes things feel that much more important and ominous, which seems likely to be the case again soon. This weekend, WWE will be presenting its annual Hell In A Cell pay per view event and now another match is taking place inside the show’s namesake structure.
This week on SmackDown, Bianca Belair challenged Bayley to make their previously announced SmackDown Women’s Title match at Hell in a Cell into a Hell in a Cell match. Bayley came to the ring for a brawl and laid Belair out before posing with the title. Later in the show, the match was confirmed to take place inside the Cell. Bayley has wrestled inside the Cell one time while Belair will be inside for the first time.
They have been at this for a bit. Check out how we got here:

Good News On Injured NXT Star’s Recovery

Road to recovery. One of the few constants in all of wrestling is being vulnerable to an injury. No matter how good or trained someone might be, there is always the chance that they could get hurt. It might even be due to a fluke accident, which can make things all the more dangerous. Some injuries can be a bit more devastating than others, but now a wrestler is on his way back from a long time on the shelf.
According to PWInsider.com, NXT’s Ridge Holland has been working especially hard at the Performance Center to return from his injury as soon as possible. He has received praise for his attitude and work ethic to recover from his injury. Holland suffered a left ankle dislocation, a right knee dislocation and a patella tendon rupture in a fight with Oney Lorcan last October. There is no word on when he will be back in the ring.
Holland is a British wrestler and a former rugby league player who signed with WWE in 2018. He began his career in NXT UK before moving to NXT in 2020. Holl..

New Grudge Match Set For Hell In A Cell

Add it to the card. There are some feuds that will never go away in wrestling. No matter how many times you see some people fight, they are always going to be back for one more round because they are joined at the hip for one reason or another. Some of the best rivalries of all time fit the description and now we are seeing another edition of one of those this weekend.
This week on SmackDown, Kevin Owens and Big E. lost a tag team match to Commander Azeez and Apollo Crews when Azeez pinned Owens after the Nigerian Nail. Sami Zayn was on commentary and found the ending hilarious. As a result, Owens requested and received a match against Zayn at Hell in a Cell. Owens and Zayn have feuded on and off for years, including Owens defeating Zayn at WrestleMania 37.
They have done this before. Check out some of Owens and Zayn’s previous battles:

Help You It Can, Yes? NXT Introducing Yoda Inspired Character

That would be a crossover. There are all kinds of characters in wrestling and it is pretty hard to come up with something actually original or fresh. With so many things that have been done before, there is very little left to see. Sometimes you need to look into other areas to make it work, and that seems to be what NXT is going for with one of its newer characters.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Mei Ying of NXT’s Tian Sha stable will be billed as over 1,000 years old and will be presented like Yoda from Star Wars. When she eventually wrestles a match, she will be a martial arts expert. Ying is being portrayed by Karen Q, who has been out of action for nearly two years with a knee injury. There is no word on when she will wrestle again.
This could be interesting. Check out Karen Q and what she has become:

VIDEO: Mickie James Teased For Return

She’s been there before. Earlier this year, several wrestlers were released from their WWE deals, which shook up a lot of things in the wrestling industry. The major impact was on WWE, but at the same time, there was suddenly a huge wave of talent available for all of the other promotions. Some wrestlers have already signed elsewhere, and now we might know where another name is heading.
This week on Impact Wrestling, Kiera Hogan was thrown into a dumpster. As she was climbing out, she found a black trash bag with the word “Mickie” written on the side. This would seem to be a reference to Mickie James, who had mentioned WWE sending her belongings back to her in a trash bag. There is no word on James possibly returning to Impact Wrestling, though several former WWE stars have been teased for Slammiversary on July 17.
James has wrestled for Impact Wrestling multiple times, including from 2002-2003, from 2010-2013 and again in 2015. During her time with the company, she won the Knockouts..

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – June 18, 2021

Smackdown
Date: June 18, 2021
Location: Yuengling Center, Tampa, Florida
Commentators: Pat McAfee, Michael Cole
For the first time in over twenty years, we’re getting a Hell in a Cell match on free TV, as Universal Champion Roman Reigns is defending against Rey Mysterio. Why you ask? There doesn’t seem to be much of a reason other than “let’s do it on TV”. That is quite the change of pace and I’m not sure how bright of a move it is. Let’s get to it.
We open with a recap of Rey Mysterio vs. Roman Reigns and the setup of their Cell match. That was back when it was taking place at the pay per view of the same name, before the change was made this week.
Here is Rey Mysterio for a chat with the Cell partially lowered. A rather emotional Rey talks about how Reigns attacked him as a father by taking out his son Dominik. Rey remembers seeing the pain in his son’s eyes and he will never forget that feeling. He can’t wait another day so tonight it is time for him to get his revenge inside the..

205 Live Results – June 11, 2021

Date: June 11, 2021

I’m really not sure what to expect around here, but my guess is that the same problems that have been around for years will still be around here. That being said, it would be foolish to expect anything else so all we can ask for is some good action, which has been the case as of late. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Grayson Waller vs. Sunil Singh
They’re both on their own. They start fast by running the ropes until a side kick drops Singh. Back up and Singh seems to have injured his shoulder, which is made even worse as Waller grabs an armbar over the ropes. Waller kicks him in the face and we hit the neck crank, with Waller being nice enough to trap the healthy arm. A missed splash gives Singh an opening but that arm is just hanging there. Singh snaps him throat first across the rope and manages a top rope chop to the head. Another attempt is kicked out o..

Impact Wrestling Results – June 10, 2021

Impact Wrestling
Date: June 10, 2021
Location: Skyway Studios, Nashville, Tennessee
Commentators: Josh Matthews, D’Lo Brown
It’s the go home show for Against All Odds and that means it is time to focus on Moose vs. Kenny Omega for the World Title. Other than that though, we could use some build for the rest of the car. The rest of the card could use some attention of its own and odds are we might get that this week. Let’s get to it.
Opening recap.
Opening sequence.
Scott D’Amore is in the ring and brings in AEW owner Tony Khan. Tony thanks him for the welcome but here is Don Callis to join them with the smug starting fast. Callis knows that Kenny Omega is the greatest investment in Khan’s portfolio but there has been talk of Sami Callihan being involved in the title match with Moose. Callihan is blackballed all over this country but D’Amore brings up the Good Brothers interfering and causing chaos all over the place too.
Callis doesn’t go for it, instead talking about how Callihan..

VIDEO: Lana Promises “Hot And Delicious” Stories About Her Time In WWE

She’ll have a lot to say. One of the biggest stories of the year so far in WWE has been a series of surprising releases. With so many people leaving the company in a hurry, it can be rather interesting to see how they react to the situations. Some of the wrestlers are going to be happy to move on to another promotion, but there are going to be some people who are not that thrilled. That seems to be the case with someone who has something to say.
Former WWE superstar Lana has released a video on Instagram, promising to release a series of vlogs detailing her time in WWE. The vlogs, which will start next Monday, will discuss her issues with the company, including her release. Lana promised to have quite a bit of say and promises to spill the “hot and delicious” tea. She did not specify how many vlogs she would release.
Lana has a lot to say. Check out the announcements and one of her better moments in WWE:

WWE RUMOR: Interesting Note On Hell In A Cell

That would be uneventful. Pay per view has long since been the main attraction for most major wrestling companies. The regular weekly shows build up to the big events where the important things happen. That means the pressure is on the promotions to really make things work, but usually something big will happen. We are coming up on another pay per view event, but it might be a bit on the uneventful side.
This coming Sunday, June 20, WWE will present its Hell In A Cell pay per view event. According to Cagesideseats.com, there are currently no title changes planned for Hell In A Cell. There is no word on how many title matches will take place on the show, as the Universal Title match between Roman Reigns and Rey Mysterio has been moved to the SmackDown before the pay per view.
There are currently three title matches scheduled for the card, including the following:
SmackDown Women’s Title: Bianca Belair(c) vs. Bayley Raw Women’s Title: Rhea Ripley(c) vs. Charlotte WWE Title: Bobby Lash..

NXT UK Results – June 17, 2021

NXT UK
Date: June 17, 2021
Location: BT Studios, London, England
Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Andy Shepherd
Things might be a bit slower this week as we are coming off a pretty awesome title change last week. Meiko Satomura is the new Women’s Champion, meaning we could be in for something a bit slower this time around. I’m not sure what that is going to mean for the show, but NXT UK is pretty awesome at the moment so they should be fine. Let’s get to it.
We open with a recap of Meiko Satomura finally ending Kay Lee Ray’s record setting Women’s Title reign last week.
Wolfgang vs. Sam Gradwell
Before the match, Gradwell makes Big Bad Wolf jokes but is very clear that his house is made of stone. Wolfgang shoulders him down without much trouble to start and grabs an armbar. Back up and Wolfgang’s big whip sends Gradwell into the corner as this is one sided so far.
Wolfgang heads up but gets knocked down to the floor, meaning it’s time to grab a shoulder. That doesn’t last long thou..

Here’s Why Bret Hart Never Appeared For AEW Again

Remember him? While the company has come a long way, All Elite Wrestling has still not been around that very long. The promotion’s first event was just over two years ago with Double Or Nothing in May 2019. There have been some great moments in the company’s history, including some surprise cameos. Now we know why one such legend never made another appearance.
Wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart made a surprise cameo appearance at AEW’s Double Or Nothing 2019 to unveil the AEW World Title belt. Hart was interrupted by Maxwell Jacob Friedman, who was eventually taken out by Jimmy Havoc, Jungle Boy and Hangman Page. To date, this is Hart’s only appearance with AEW and now we know why that is the case.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Hart did not make another appearance with the company due to being a bit worried about having some heat with Vince McMahon. Hart was also worried about Natalya being punished for him making such an appearance. The deal with AEW was a las..
