WATCH: Team Split Leads To Surprise Title Change On Monday Night Raw

Not the intended result. With so many wrestlers and characters on WWE television, it can make sense to put them together and see what they can do as a combined force. Some of these instances work a lot better than others and that has been the case as of late on Monday Night Raw. That being said, one such group seems to be no more, but the split resulted in a surprise ending.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Reginald accidentally cost Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler a tag team match against Natalya and Tamina. Reginald’s distraction allowed Tamina to superkick Baszler and score the pin. After the match was over, Jax headbutted Reginald and left with Baszler, seemingly ending Reginald’s association with the team. Reginald’s night was not done yet though.
After Jax and Baszler left, 24/7 Champion Akira Tozawa ran to the ring, with the regular group of challengers chasing after him. Reginald attacked Tozawa and gave him a running flipping seated senton to win the title for the first time. Follo..

WATCH: John Cena Has Future Plans For Roman Reigns

That’s a future. WWE is on the way to Summerslam and they started the build in a hurry earlier this week. The show is coming up in just over a month and thankfully WWE actually seems to know that this time around. Summerslam will be held in a stadium this time around and that means they are going to need a huge main event. Now we know how they are going to take their next step in that direction.
The end of Money in the Bank saw John Cena make a long awaited return to the company to confront Roman Reigns. This week on Monday Night Raw, Cena made his return to WWE television and announced that he was interested in facing Reigns at Summerslam for the Universal Title. In addition, Cena announced that he would be appearing on this week’s SmackDown to confront Reigns face to face. The match has not yet been made official for Summerslam.
Cena being back is kind of a big deal. Check out his return and what SmackDown might be in for:

WWE May Be Hinting At A Braun Strowman Return

One more time? The biggest WWE story of the year so far has been the wave of releases from the company. All kinds of wrestlers have been let go and it has been fascinating to see what happens to all of these people. Several wrestlers are no longer with the company but it seems that WWE might not be done with one of them, as they are doing something that is rather unusual.
WWE has released a pair of new Braun Strowman shirts in their official merchandise store. This comes after Strowman was released from the company on June 2 along with several other wrestlers. There is no word on why WWE released the shirt, though there is a chance that Strowman has re-signed with the company. However, this has not been confirmed at this time. Strowman is a former Universal Champion and has not announced his future plans.
Strowman could be a huge deal for WWE again. Check out what he has done in the company:

NXT Champion Makes Monday Night Raw Debut And Gets Big Surprise

Thanks for coming? There are a lot of talented people on the WWE roster and several of them are part of NXT. The promotion is in a unique place as it is not only has a weekly national television show but it also serves as WWE’s official developmental territory. That means you are going to see some NXT stars debuting on the main roster from time to time, and that was the case again this week.
NXT Champion Karrion Kross made his Monday Night Raw debut this week, where he lost to Jeff Hardy via a rollup with feet on the ropes. After the match, Kross talked about how Hardy made a big mistake and promised to make him fall and pray. Kross, a record two time NXT Champion, did not have Scarlett in his corner, despite the two still being paired together on NXT. He has been appearing in dark matches prior to WWE television shows in recent weeks.
Kross is quite the force and could be on Monday Night Raw as well. Check out what is coming up from NXT:

Former World Champion Returns, Teases Summerslam Title Match

He’s back too. WWE has a lot of momentum at the moment and it would make a lot of sense for them to do everything that they can to capitalize on it. They have the fans back in attendance and hopefully they can figure out the best moves possible. This could include a few different returns, many of which took place this week on Monday Night Raw. We already might know where it is going.
Goldberg made his return to WWE television this week on Monday Night Raw, interrupting Bobby Lashley after Lashley defeated the also returning Keith Lee. Following the match, Goldberg appeared and challenged Lashley for a future title shot. Lashley was ready to fight but MVP held them apart and later said they would not be acknowledging Goldberg’s challenge. Goldberg vs. Lashley has been rumored for a WWE Title match at Summerslam.
Goldberg makes occasional appearances for WWE, including wrestling a few matches a year. His most recent match took place at the 2021 Royal Rumble, where he unsuccessfully cha..

Long Awaited Return Takes Place On Monday Night Raw

Welcome back. It can be rather hard to see a popular wrestler sitting on the sidelines for a long time. What can make it even worse is seeing them out for no apparent reason. That being said, the good part is when you get to see them come back, which often makes up for a lot of the problems. After a long absence, it is time to see what we are going to get out of such a comeback.
Keith Lee made his return to Monday Night Raw this week, answering an open challenge from WWE Champion Bobby Lashley in a Champions Contender match. Lashley went on to win the match, which would have granted Lee a future title shot had he won. The match marks Lee’s first appearance since February, when he was taken off of WWE television for undisclosed reasons.
Lee is a star. Check out what he can do in the ring:

Monday Night Raw
Date: July 19, 2021
Location: American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas
Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton
The week of the fans continues as we have the first Raw in front of a crowd since March 2021. Smackdown and Money in the Bank seemed to go pretty well but this is the big test. This is the Raw that WWE has literally had months to plan for and they can put on their best show possible. John Cena is back and opening the show so they should have a good start. Let’s get to it.
Here is John Cena to get things going as they’re starting fast tonight. Cena says he can still see some people coming in so come on down. After acknowledging a kid’s “I’m turning 11 and I’m here to see John Cena” sign, Cena says he missed us. Cena talks about what a group effort Raw is and how he was here last night for the end of Money in the Bank.
Paul Heyman panicked, Roman Reigns didn’t know what he was supposed to do, Michael Cole was really happy and Pat McAfee still did..

Monday Night Raw Star Moved To SmackDown

Another shakeup. WWE is in the middle of a bunch of changes and that might not be the worst thing. The company has been in a bit of a rut over the last several months but the talent is certainly there. Sometimes you need something to switch it up a bit and that is what we have been seeing as of late. Now they are making a series of changes and now we have the next one.
According to PWInsider.com, Naomi has been moved from Monday Night Raw to SmackDown. This comes after Naomi participated in the Money in the Bank ladder match as a member of the Monday Night Raw roster in a losing effort. Naomi has wrestled on both Monday Night raw and SmackDown over the course of her career, including two reigns as SmackDown Women’s Champion.
Naomi has some star power. Check out what she can do on SmackDown:

WATCH: John Cena Addresses Fans After Money In The Bank

He had something to say. We are well on the way to Summerslam and that means it is time to get ready for one of the biggest shows of the year. This time around, WWE seems like they want to treat the show even more seriously than usual and that is going to start at the top of the card. They took care of that at the end of Money in the Bank, but the night was not over yet.
John Cena made his return to WWE to end Money in the Bank and confronted Roman Reigns. The show ended on a shot of the two looking at each other with nothing being said. WWE has released a video from after the show, featuring Cena addressing the crowd. Cena talked about how strange it was to be cheered and promised that it was the first night instead of a one night return. He thanked the fans for returning and left the ring before throwing his gear to the fans to end the show. In another video, Cena announced that he would be opening this week’s Monday Night Raw.
This should work. Check out how Cena’s night went down..

Here’s Why WWE Cut The Video During Money In The Bank

That’s a bit too far. One of the most infamous changes in WWE history was the shift towards a PG style. This has created quite a bit of backlash from fans, but at the same time it has brought WWE a whole lot of money and opportunities, as more companies are interested in working with them. It does mean that some changes have to be made at times though, which was briefly the case this weekend.
The video feed went dark for a few seconds during the Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte match at Money in the Bank over the weekend. According to PWInsider.com, the video cut out due to Charlotte crotch chopping and flipping off the crowd due to their WE WANT BECKY chants. The chants began at the start of the match and were acknowledged by commentary. Becky Lynch did not appear during the show.
It was a heck of a match anyway. Check out the match, what happened later, and Lynch vs. Charlotte:

VIDEO: John Cena Makes WWE Return To Set Up Summerslam Main Event

Yeah he’ll do. This has been an eventful year for WWE as they have tried to come out of the Coronavirus pandemic while also keeping things going at nearly full strength. Somehow they have managed to make that work well enough and now coming up on what might be the biggest show of the year with Summerslam. A show of this magnitude needs a huge headliner and now we might have just that.
John Cena made his return to WWE at the end of Sunday’s Money in the Bank to confront Roman Reigns. Cena stared at Reigns and gave him the You Can’t See Me sign to end the show. While not confirmed, this is likely to set up a Summerslam main event. Reigns had retained the Universal Title over Edge in the main event and said that everyone had to acknowledge him, which brought Cena out.
Cena has been absent from WWE since WrestleMania 36, when he lost the Firefly Fun House to Bray Wyatt. He has spent the majority of his time focusing on his acting career but has been teasing a return to WWE. Cena is curre..

We Have A New Mr. And Ms. Money In The Bank

Two down. Money In The Bank is one of the most unique events of the year as it features a pair of major concept matches. The show is built around its namesake matches, featuring both a men’s and women’s version since 2017. The Money in the Bank ladder match is one of the most important of the year for both divisions and now this year’s editions are in the book. So who won?
Nikki Ash and Big E. won the women’s Money in the Bank and men’s Money in the bank ladder matches respectively. Their wins allow them to challenge for their respective singles title from either Monday Night Raw or SmackDown at any time in the next year. It is the first Money in the Bank win for both and neither have ever held a World Title in WWE. Big E. is a former Intercontinental and NXT Champion.
It was a huge night. Check out the ladder matches and the fallout:
