Next For The Man? WWE’s WrestleMania 38 Plans For Becky Lynch

Run it back? We are about ready to start the Road to WrestleMania 38 and that means the card should be at least mostly set. While it might not be made public just yet, WWE needs t know what they are doing for their biggest event of the year. It seems that they do have a few ideas set, and now we might know one of the more important matches planned for the show.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, a title match between Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair is likely for WrestleMania 38. The match would be a rematch from Summerslam 2021, when Lynch returned and beat Belair in an impromptu SmackDown Women’s Title match in less than thirty seconds. Lynch has since swapped the SmackDown Women’s Title for the Raw version.
It worked before. Check out some of the Lynch vs. Belair feud:

Here’s What’s Next For Brock Lesnar And The WWE Title

That’s up next. With about three months to go before WrestleMania 38, it is time for WWE to start getting things ready for the biggest show of the year. That can make for some tricky decisions, as the show needs to be as good as it possibly can. This includes making the right decisions when it comes to title matches, and now we might have an idea of the next turn that will be taken.
Brock Lesnar won the WWE Title at Day One, winning a fatal five way match also involving Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley and Big E. Lesnar and Lashley interacted during the match, with Lashley spearing him through the barricade and putting him in the Hurt Lock. According to F4WOnline.com, the plan is to have Lashley be the first challenger to Lesnar’s title, though there is no word on when the match might take place.
This could be a fight. Check out the two in action together and apart:

AEW Wrestlers Respond To Tony Khan’s Controversial Comments

It was going to get people talking. AEW has been a complete game changer in the wrestling world and that has been a good thing. The company is led by President Tony Khan, who has been a force in wrestling since he entered the industry. However, like everyone else, Khan is going to have some controversial moments. That was the case last week and now we are seeing the response.
Late last week, former AEW star Big Swole spoke about some of her issues with the company on her Swole Nation podcast. Several over her comments criticized AEW’s lack of diversity in management positions and in prominent roles on television. Khan responded, listing off people of color in the company and saying that he let Swole go because he did not think her wrestling abilities were good enough. Several AEW wrestlers have since responded, with a mixture of positive and negative reactions. Here are some of the responses to Khan’s comments, including Lio Rush, who has since had a conversation with Khan:

Jon Moxley’s Return Match Seems To Be Set

Welcome back. Wrestling is in a different world in modern times, as there is more content available than ever before. A fan can see almost any wrestling from anywhere in the world and it is amazing to have so much out there. Above all else, it can be great to see something special, and now we are going to be seeing something that is more important than most regular matches.
Back in November, AEW’s Jon Moxley entered a rehabilitation center for issues with alcohol abuse and has not appeared for any wrestling promotion since. Over the weekend, Homicide won the Game Changer Wrestling Do Or Die Rumble, earning a GCW World Title shot against Moxley. Game Changer Wrestling has since announced that the match will take place on January 23 in New York City. There is no word on when he will be returning to AEW.
It will be great to have Moxley back. Check out some of his time in AEW:

Sasha Banks Suffers Leg Injury At WWE Live Event, Match Stopped

That doesn’t sound good. There are some very talented wrestlers in the world today but unfortunately they are all susceptible to getting hurt. No matter how talented or skilled they may be, there is the chance that someone could get injured at any given time. Unfortunately that seems to be the case again with one of the higher profile names on SmackDown.
According to PWInsider.com, Sasha Banks may have been injured during a match against Charlotte at a live event on Sunday. Banks was taking a backbreaker but planted her leg wrong, seemingly injuring her leg or knee. She was able to kick out of a cover, but was unable to get to her feet and the match was stopped as a result. There is no word on the specifics of Banks’ injury or how long she could be out of action.
Losing Banks would be a big hit for WWE. Check out what she can do when she is healthy:

Interesting Graphic Shows The Most Active WWE Wrestlers Of 2021

He did a lot. There are certain wrestlers who are more active than others and it can often be a great thing to see. Those wrestlers are allowed to get in the ring more often because they are that good and are willing to put in the effort. As a result, they deserve the extra credit and attention, and that is what one of the bigger stars in wrestling is receiving after the end of the year.
The WWE On BT Sports Twitter account has released a graphic showing that Drew McIntyre wrestled the most WWE matches in 2021. McIntyre wrestled 95 matches, with a record of 73-19-3, beating the second place wrestler, Bianca Belair, who wrestled 82 matches. McIntyre began the year as WWE Champion before losing it to Miz via Money in the Bank cash-in. He is also currently out of action with a neck injury.
Need someone to open the show? Drew
Need someone to wrestle in the main event? Drew
Need someone to wrestle for 25 minutes? Drew
Need someone to wrestle a tag match? Drew

WWE Has A New Buzzword And It Sounds A Little Weird

There’s a new name for that. WWE has a lot of things that leave fans a bit confused, and one of them tends to be the company’s obsession with naming everything. Over the years, WWE has renamed all kinds of things from wrestlers to shows to hospitals and more. Now they have another idea that they are moving forward with, and they are not exactly being subtle about it.
Earlier this weekend, WWE presented the first ever Day One event on January 1. Several times during the broadcast, the commentary team referred to the show as a “premium live event”. The term was also shown on a graphic for the Royal Rumble. It seems that the term has replaced “pay per view” as the term for the company’s major events. There is no word on why the change was made.
WWE has had some big events in the past. Check out some of the better ones over the years:

LOOK: Nasty Injury Takes Place During WWE Day One (Slightly Graphic)

It can happen to anyone. There are all kinds of injuries in the wrestling world and some of them can be a lot more intense than others. One of the biggest problems with dealing with injuries is that they could take place at any time. That means a simple fluke accident could take someone out, and unfortunately that was the case again this weekend as a WWE star got banged up pretty badly.
The WWE Day One Kickoff Show featured a tag team match between Sheamus/Ridge Holland vs. Cesaro/Ricochet. Early in the match, Ricochet attempted a 450 splash but his boot accidentally smashed Holland in the face. Holland suffered a broken nose and left the match without returning. There is no word on how long Holland will be out or what kind of treatment he may need. Sheamus went on to win the match for his team.

Top WWE Star To Miss Time With Neck Problems

It can happen to anyone. With so many wrestlers on the current WWE roster, there is bound to be an injury or two every so often. Some of these can be instantaneous while others can take time to build up. Neither is good to see, but the recovery is what matters most. Now another WWE star is injured and we do not exactly know how long he will be out.
During this weekend’s WWE Day One event, Happy Corbin attacked Drew McIntyre, including wrapping a chair around McIntyre’s neck and crushing it. WWE has announced that McIntyre has suffered a cervical neck strain with contusions. There is no word on how long McIntyre will be out of action. According to PWInsider.com, the angle took place to write McIntyre off of television as he is suffering from legitimate neck issues. McIntyre is scheduled to undergo testing to find out what is wrong and how much time he will be missnig.

WWE Hall Of Famer Makes Surprise Return At Day One

Welcome back. There have been all kinds of wrestlers throughout the history of WWE that it is almost impossible to keep track of them all. Out of those wrestlers, there are some who stand out more than others and those are the wrestlers who are often remembered the most fondly. The best of those are enshrined in the WWE Hall of Fame, and now one of those wrestlers is back.
Edge and Miz had a match at this weekend’s WWE Day One event. Miz’s wife Maryse interfered during the match, which drew out WWE Hall of Famer and Edge’s wife Beth Phoenix to chase Maryse off, allowing Edge to defeat Miz with a spear. This comes after Phoenix recently resigned from the NXT broadcast team. At the moment, there is no word on Phoenix returning to the ring.
This could be a big one. Check out Phoenix’s return, plus some of her better in-ring moments:

Huge Title Change Takes Place At WWE Day One

History has been made! We are officially in the new year and now we only have a few more stops to go on the Road To WrestleMania 38. The show is in about three months and there are all kinds of things that need to be done to get things ready. One of the biggest is setting up the title matches, and now one of the biggest changes might have been set in motion.
This weekend’s WWE Day One event featured a fatal five way main event with Brock Lesnar winning the WWE Title by pinning champion Big E. The match also included Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley. Lesnar was added to the match the night of the show after Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Lesnar’s original opponent, was forced out of the match due to testing positive for the Coronavirus.
Lesnar could be a force. Check out the title match, plus what else Lesnar can do:

WWE Day One 2022 Live Coverage And Results

Day One 2022
Date: January 1, 2022
Location: State Farm Arena, Atlanta, Georgia
Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee, Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton
It’s the first show of the year and as interesting as that is, everything has changed at the very last minute. Universal Champion Roman Reigns has announced that he has tested positive for Coronavirus, meaning that he is out of his title defense against Brock Lesnar. Worry not though, as Lesnar is now in a five way for the WWE Title. Let’s get to it.
Kickoff Show: Ridge Holland/Sheamus vs. Cesaro/Ricochet Sheamus has called Holland the replacement for Cesaro in the Bar, while Ricochet eliminated Sheamus from a recent gauntlet match. Cesaro starts with Sheamus, who bails into the corner and brings Holland in. That’s fine with Cesaro, who hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, followed by assisting Ricochet for a flipping stomp to Holland. That looked BAD as Ricochet’s boot hit him right in the face.
