WRESTLING RUMORS: Major Backstage Heat On Shane McMahon

That wouldn’t get him very far. There are a lot of people who have to work together to make WWE run as smoothly as it can. That is not easy to do and a lot of what you see on television comes from the minds of the company’s producers. These people help put the show together, though some of them have different priorities. That was on display over the weekend and it did not go well.
This weekend’s men’s Royal Rumble match featured the return of Shane McMahon, who entered the match at #28 and eliminated Kevin Owens before making the final three entrants. According to Ringsidenews.com, there is a significant amount of heat backstage on McMahon, who was the lead writer and producer for the match. McMahon was said to have insisted that the match be built around himself and being put over and was “fighting with people to do so.” Some wrestlers, including some who never complain, were said to be loudly complaining about how hard McMahon was pushed in the match.

WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Has No Plans for WWE Title Match At WrestleMania

They might want to work on that. With just over two months to go before WrestleMania 38, WWE has already started on the road to the biggest show of the year. That road began with the Royal Rumble event, which saw not only a pair of Royal Rumble matches, but also a new WWE Champion crowned. That should be enough to get them somewhere, but that does not seem to be the case.
The Royal Rumble card included Brock Lesnar defending the WWE Title against Bobby Lashley, who would win the championship with the help of Roman Reigns. According to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, there are currently no plans for the WWE at WrestleMania 38. There is no word on what WWE might decide to run for the title. There is also the chance that Lashley loses the title before WrestleMania.
Lesnar had to be the winner here. I’m told they legitimately have no idea what the WWE Title match at Mania is going to be at this point. Avoid the ol pigeon hole.

Opinion: Everyone, Just Relax – 2022 Royal Rumble Edition

The 2022 Royal Rumble has come and gone, and with it, a number of people who are unhappy about how the event transpired. While some are complaining about the in-ring competition, the majority of the griping has to do with the booking of the show and how things didn’t go down as they thought that they should.
This is where I come in.
This article is the first of what I guarantee will be many in a series during my time at Wrestling Rumors. This new segment is called: Everyone, Just Relax.

After this year’s Royal Rumble, naturally, Twitter exploded with messaging saying that “this was the worst show ever” and that “AEW is going to buy WWE in a few years”. However, if you just take a step back and think about things for a minute, you will realize that there is some long-term storytelling going on here that will pl..

Note that I was in the stadium for this, sitting in the upper deck with the Titantron on my right.
No Kickoff Show matches this year, which was a bit weird.
The opening video looks at the start of the Road To Wrestlemania, with a look at just about everything on tonight’s card. Cool, even if it isn’t breaking new ground.

WWE Morale Reportedly Down Backstage Due To Issues With The Royal Rumble

Is anyone writing this stuff down? There are a lot of moving parts to any WWE event and the Royal Rumble might be the most complicated of them all. When a show has so many people involved in a pair of matches, it is going to take some special planning to make everything work out. Not having things work out well can cause quite the mess and unfortunately that seems to be the case again this year.
According to PWInsider.com, WWE’s backstage morale is down after this weekend’s Royal Rumble. The frustration came from the amount of changes made to the card, which were blamed for the quality of the event being seen as poor. This included about twenty changes to the men’s Royal Rumble over the course of the week, including eliminations, the order of the entrants and how the wrestlers would compete during the match. The women’s match included several changes as well. Vince McMahon was said to have been heavily involved with the show’s layout.

D’Oh: More Details On Botched Royal Rumble Spot

It had to happen one day. Wrestlers are in a weird place when it comes to their performances in front of a crowd. Not only are they having pre-determined matches, but they also have to make everything they do look as realistic as possible while not injuring their fellow wrestlers. At some point, something is going to go wrong and unfortunately that was the case last night on a pretty big stage.
This year’s WWE Royal Rumble included Kofi Kingston, who has a history of elaborate saves to prevent himself from being eliminated. However, this year saw Kingston eliminated in less than thirty seconds. According to Bryan Alvarez on Twitter, Kingston’s elimination did not go as planned, as he had a major save planned. Big E., Kingston’s New Day teammate, was likely to have been involved, though it is not clear what the spot would have been. Kingston has also commented on the spot, saying that it is better to try and fail than to never try at all.
Kofi's big spot was mistimed and he was l..

Update On Bad Bunny’s WWE Status Following Royal Rumble Appearance

Maybe next year. WrestleMania is the most important wrestling event of the year and WWE knows what they have with it. The company goes out of its way to turn the event into a grand spectacle and that means bringing in everyone they can to add to the show’s star power. Some of these moves work better than others, but there are times where someone just is not available. That will be the case again this year.
This year’s Royal Rumble featured a surprise appearance by music superstar Bad Bunny, who entered the men’s Royal Rumble match. Bunny went on to eliminate two wrestlers before being tossed out by Brock Lesnar. According to PWInsider.com, this is not leading to a WrestleMania appearance, as Bunny will be performing in Miami, Florida during both nights of WrestleMania.
Bunny is a lifelong wrestling fan and performed his song about WWE Hall of Famer Booker T. last year at the 2021 Royal Rumble. The appearance led to an angle between Bunny and Damian Priest against Miz and John Morriso..

Update on Finn Balor, Reason For Not Appearing In The Royal Rumble

That would explain it. One of the more surprising absences from the 2022 Royal Rumble was Finn Balor, who did not appear on the show at all. What was the reason for this?
According to a report from WrestleVotes, Balor is not injured in any way, he is still out of the country. WWE expects him back to action in plenty of time for WrestleMania.
Confirmed with a source that Finn Balor is not injured in anyway, he is out of the country however. WWE expects him back in plenty of time for WrestleMania.
— WrestleVotes (@WrestleVotes) January 30, 2022
Balor’s most recent major Feud was with Roman Reigns in September 2021, where he challenged The Head of the Table for the Universal Championship at the Extreme Rules premium live event. Even as his alter ego, ‘The Demon’, Balor still came up on the losing end.
“The Prince” has not been seen on WWE programming since December 20 of last year. It is unknown what his plans for this year’s WrestleMania are.

Here’s The WrestleMania Match That Came Out Of The Royal Rumble

They have a plan for that. We are less than two months away from WrestleMania 38 and now that the Royal Rumble is in the books, there is a much clearer picture about where the show might be headed. At the bare minimum, we know who will be challenging for two of the top titles at the show, and in one case we already know which champion she will be facing.
This weekend at the Royal Rumble, Ronda Rousey made her return to WWE after a nearly three year hiatus and won the women’s Royal Rumble. The win allows her to challenge for either of the Women’s Titles at WrestleMania 38 and according to F4WOnline.com, Rousey will be facing SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte at the show. This was written before the Royal Rumble took place, where Charlotte last eliminated Rousey to win the match.
Opinion: This is a bit of a surprise, as even though Rousey’s return was announced in advance, her facing Charlotte is a bit of a twist. Rousey has a much deeper history with Becky Lynch, but for some reaso..

Full List Of Unannounced And Surprise Royal Rumble Entrants

Nice to see you. The Royal Rumble is one of the most unique events on the WWE calendar, as the company is able to put dozens of wrestlers into a pair of matches and set up some of their biggest shows of the year in Wrestlemania. Putting together two groups of thirty wrestlers can be quite the task though, and now we know everyone WWE had to bring in to help make things better.
This weekend’s WWE Royal Rumble event featured the usual men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches. Most of the matches’ participants were announced in advance, with a few names being revealed during the matches themselves. Here are the unannounced names from both the men’s and women’s matches:
Women

Surprise Turn Takes Place During WWE Title Match At Royal Rumble

That might not have been so bright. With so many people on the WWE roster, it can be easy for some of them to fall through the cracks. At the same time, there are some who are going to feel important no matter what they do because they have become such important pieces to the show. That is the case with a certain WWE name, and now he is doing something different yet familiar.
This weekend’s Royal Rumble featured a WWE Championship match between Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley. During the match, Universal Champion Roman Reigns interfered and attacked Lesnar, with the help of Lesnar’s advocate Paul Heyman. This marked a change, as Heyman turned on Lesnar for Reigns. Heyman had switched from Lesnar to Reigns earlier this month as Reigns fired Heyman, who joined Lesnar again.
Opinion: Heyman’s ongoing changes are some of the most interesting things going in WWE and now he has me wondering where this is heading. Odds are it goes on to WrestleMania 38, where Lesnar will challenge Reigns for..
