WATCH: WWE Legend Signs New Deal With The Company

Welcome back. There have been a lot of wrestlers on WWE television over the years and some of them have been a lot more successful than others. Some have made some major impacts and had some very memorable moments. Those wrestlers are going to make a difference every time they show up again and that might be the case again for a legend who has re-signed with the company.
Former WWE star Boogeyman has released a video of him signing a new WWE contract. As he signs, a song plays with lyrics saying “this is how legends are made”, suggesting that he has signed a new Legends deal, though this is not clearly stated. Boogeyman wrestled for WWE from 2005-2009 and has wrestled on the independent circuit since. He has also made occasional appearances for WWE.
Legend sounds right. Check out Boogeyman’s signing:

Opinion: I don’t see this being any kind of an issue, as it isn’t like WWE is overly picky about who they sign to legends deals. Sometimes it ..

WWE Announces A Second Elimination Chamber Match

It’s their turn. Starting back in 2018, WWE began going over to Saudi Arabia for multiple major events every year. These shows have been among the biggest of the year with one stacked card after another. Some of these matches have been less than memorable, but there have been some historic moments as well. A handful of them have involved women’s wrestling, and now they are going bigger than ever.
WWE has announced that a women’s Elimination Chamber match will take place at Elimination Chamber on February 19. The match will consist of Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Doudrop, Liv Morgan, Nikki ash and a mystery entrant, with the winner getting to challenge for the Raw Women’s Title at WrestleMania 38. There have been three women’s Elimination Chamber matches in history, with the first taking place in 2018.
Opinion: This is something that isn’t exactly a surprise, but it is a bit of a surprise that it is taking place in Saudi Arabia. I’m curious to see what they are going to do in the match..

WWE Hall Of Famer Rips Recent Storyline, Says It Insults His Intelligence

He doesn’t sound like a fan. WWE is a lot of things, including the most successful wrestling promotion in history. They know how to make money hand over fist, but that does not mean they are the most entertaining company. A good bit of their television product is not often well received, and now a WWE Hall of Famer is venting some issues he has with what the company is offering.
Ronda Rousey returned to WWE after nearly three years away and won the women’s Royal Rumble. She has since announced that she will challenge SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte at WrestleMania 38. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry spoke about Rousey’s return at the Royal Rumble. Henry took issue with WWE ignoring the Brand Split by having Rousey appear on both shows. Henry said that if WWE is going to keep changing things around, they might as well have one roster. He also said that he felt his intelligence was being insulted by the whole thing.
Opinion: This is something that does ..

WWE Allegedly Considered Bringing Back Velveteen Dream (With Some Changes)

That would have been a way to go. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster over the years, it can be a little difficult for someone to stand out. That can be very tricky for someone on their best day but occasionally someone makes headlines for some less than ideal reasons. That was the case for a rather high profile NXT star, and WWE might have wanted to bring him back anyway.
Back in April 2020, Velveteen Dream was accused of inappropriate sexual communication with underage people. WWE investigated the situation but found no evidence to prove the allegations, which Dream still denies. After missing several months due to injuries suffered in an automobile accident, Dream returned for a few months before being let go from the company in May 2021.
Dream appeared on a recent edition of the Dishing Drama podcast and revealed that WWE considered bringing him back under a mask without having him speak. He did not make it clear when WWE considered doing this. Dream has not wrestled since h..

Yes Him: WWE Thought About Making James Ellsworth WWE Champion

That would have been something. There are a lot of titles in the wrestling world and some of them are rather prestigious. Some of those titles have been around for a very long time, with some of the better known championships being sanctioned by WWE. Winning a championship in WWE means something in the wrestling world, and it seems that a surprising name almost won the company’s signature title.
During a recent interview on the Cheap Heat Productions podcast, former WWE star James Ellsworth said that there had been discussions of him winning the WWE Championship in 2016. Ellsworth did feud with WWE Champion AJ Styles during 2016, including defeating him twice with the help of Dean Ambrose. The feud saw Ellsworth receive two shots at the title, one of which resulted in a disqualification victory over Styles. Ellsworth did make it clear that he did not believe the plans were legitimate and that he should not have been champion.
Opinion: I don’t think there was any serious consideration..

WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Live Event Ad WrestleMania Card Hints

Call it a preview? We are less than two months away from WrestleMania 38 and there are a lot of matches that need to be set up. While we already know some of the bigger matches on the card, there are several more that still need to be added. Some of those might seem a bit obvious from here, but there are some that might not make any sense from here. Now, we might have some previews.
According to John Pollock of Post Wrestling, WWE is advertising two matches for a March 27 live event in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The matches are:
Becky Lynch vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Bianca Belair
Bobby Lashley vs. Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles
While not confirmed, these matches could be previews of upcoming WrestleMania 38 matches. Lynch is currently scheduled to defend her Raw Women’s Title against Elimination Chamber. At the same show, Lashley will be defending his WWE Title inside the Elimination Chamber, with Rollins, Styles, Brock Lesnar, Austin Theory and Riddle. There is no word on if either of the Tor..

Important Update On Alexa Bliss’ Return To The Ring

It could take a little while. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it can be a little bit tricky to find something for everyone to do. Some of the things that we wind up seeing are better than others, but there are a lot that leave fans somewhere between confused and annoyed. A lot of these are things that appear on television, and we might be seeing a lot more of that for the time being.
Over the last few weeks, WWE has presented a series of vignettes on Monday Night Raw featuring Alexa Bliss undergoing therapy to overcome her issues involving Lily. According to Fightful Select, WWE has filmed nine of these vignettes, which will be part of a long term plan to bring her back to action. There is no word on when Bliss will be returning to the ring, though there were never any plans for her to be part of the Royal Rumble. Bliss has not wrestled since Extreme Rules in September 2021.
Opinion: I’m not sure what is going on with Bliss but I’m not exactly wild on seeing more of her stu..

Former WWE Star Announces Signing With New Promotion

He has a new home. The massive amounts of WWE releases over the last year and a half have changed the way the wrestling world works. There have been so many wrestlers leaving the promotion, with the majority of them leaving against their will. That means there are all kinds of wrestlers on the free agent market, but now one more of them seems to have signed with a promotion.
During an interview on the Paltrocast, former WWE star Lince Dorado has announced that he has signed with Impact Wrestling. Dorado mentioned that he wants to go after the X-Division Title, currently help by Trey Miguel. Impact Wrestling has not announced that Dorado has signed with the company and there is no word on when he could be making his debut. Dorado was released from WWE in November 2021 and has not wrestled since September 2021.
Opinion: While Dorado is a star from WWE, I’m a bit surprised by the idea of him announcing his new signing instead of letting Impact Wrestling announce it themselves. Hopefully..

WATCH: Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair From Money in the Bank 2021

The queen shows off her brutality. WWE has posted a new match to its YouTube channel in which they show the full match between Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair for the Raw Women’s Championship from Money in the Bank 2021.
You can see the match in its entirety below:
[This post contains video, click to play]

From WWE.com:
Haymakers and kicks were thrown with reckless abandon, underscoring the deep-seated animosity that has defined the rivalry. The Nightmare battered Flair with every ounce of energy she had, fighting off fatigue late in the match to muscle Charlotte into a suplex that nearly blew the roof off Dickies Arena.
Not to be outdone, Charlotte returned fire with a moonsault from the top rope to the floor. A desperation Natural Selection from the top rope stunned Ripley but only garnered a two-count, causing the WWE Universe to erupt into chants of “This is awesome!”
As the match wore on, Ripley countered the Figure Eight by sending Charlotte head-first into the ring post. ..

Yes And Yes: Former WWE Stars Get Married

It’s a special occasion. Wrestlers have a lot to cover on a weekly basis. Between going from town to town and show to show, there is only so much free or leisure time to be had. That can make a variety of things difficult, but sometimes even the busiest wrestlers can find time to do something they want. Such a thing took place this weekend and it was a very important moment.
Former WWE wrestlers Keith lee and Mia Yim were married over the weekend. Fellow former WWE star Tegan Nox posted photos online, showing the two both at their wedding and their reception. The two have been engaged since February 11, 2021. Both Lee and Yim were released from their WWE contracts in November 2021. They are both free agents, but neither has wrestled a match since being released from the company.

Two For One: Wrestling Star Wins Titles In Another Sport (She Won A Sword)

She’s good at that too. Wrestlers get a bad reputation when it comes to athleticism. While they are certainly athletes, they are often looked at differently because the matches they take part in are pre-determined. That is something that can make people skeptical of what they can do athletically, but it can be made better when you see them succeed elsewhere. That was the case again this week.
Impact Wrestling’s Jordynne Grace announced on twitter that she competed at the Owen’s Gym Unsanctioned Power Lifting Meet over the weekend, winning first in her class in her weight class and overall while being named the strongest female at the competition. Her team also won the Team Award. Grace regularly competes in power lifting competitions and has won awards and trophies in previous efforts.

Maybe Later: WWE Has Already Dropped Plans For A Big Return

Maybe not? WWE presents a lot of television in any given week and some of it can be rather interesting. The company has more than enough talent to make things work but at the same time, WWE also has a tendency to change its plans at the last minute. That can be rather annoying to see, and now it seems to be the case again. This time, one of the company’s legends is involved, or at least he was supposed to be.
Last month, Kurt Angle revealed that he was scheduled to return to WWE television for a short term storyline. However, during his most recent podcast, Angle revealed that the plans WWE had have been scrapped. Angle did not reveal what the original plans were or why they were canceled. He also made it clear that he is not signed to WWE at the moment and his only obligation is to his podcast.
Opinion: This is about as WWE as you can get, as the company seemed to have a plan in mind and then dropped it almost as fast. The only good side is that Angle did not appear on television so..
