Backstage Updates on Potential Future WWE Returns

Might we see more? One of the defining traits of the Triple H era of WWE has been the return of several superstars that were released when Vince McMahon was in charge of the company. It would appear that more may be on the way. According to a report from Fightful Select, Chelsea Green has been under contract with WWE “for quite some time and is still awaiting creative.” This was after she was released from the company on April 15, 2021. Another indication that Green was headed to WWE was her recently shutting down her Onlyfans page. Green’s husband Matt Cardona, who competed as Zack Ryder in WWE, could be on his way back also; however, officials say that “Cardona is not signed, but that we shouldn’t rule anything out for the future.” Finally, Kylie Rae is reportedly still a free agent despite being brought in for a tryout and appearing on WWE Main Event. Editor’s Opinion: I, for one, would love to see Chelsea Green back. I always thought that she was incredibly talented and didn’t..

WATCH: WWE Star Celebrates Twentieth Anniversary Of His Debut

That’s a long time. We are entering a new year and that causes a lot of people to look back at other things, both short and long times ago. This can be the case in wrestling as well, as you will see some stars celebrating milestones in their careers. You might see someone being happy with how long it has been since they first did something, and that was the case again this week in a surprising place. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: He’s Back? Vince McMahon Planning Return To WWE, Threatens To Block Huge Deals This week on WWE Main Event, Shelton Benjamin defeated Rip Fowler. Following the match, Benjamin mentioned that he recently celebrated the twenty year anniversary of his WWE debut. Check out Benjamin’s address, plus some of his bett..

If You Need Her: WWE Hall Of Famer Ready For Royal Rumble If Needed (It Would Work)

She would work. In about a month, WWE will present its annual Royal Rumble event. As always, this will be one of the trickiest shows of the year, as it will feature a pair of Royal Rumble matches. With a total of sixth wrestlers between the two of them, those matches are going to require all hands on deck. Now a legend is offering her services if she is needed for the match. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: They’re In: Backstage Reaction To NXT Stars Working WWE Main Event During a live signing for K&S Wrestlefest, WWE Hall of Famer Molly Holly said that she has told WWE Creative that she can be in the Women’s Royal Rumble if needed. However, she asked for some advance notice as she would be going from inactive as a wrestler to needing to be ready to go. Thus far, Holly has not received any such notice, though there is still a chance this could change. Holly has competed in three of the five women’s Royal Rumbles in history. Holly is nothing short of a legend. Check out what she has done over..

They’re In: Backstage Reaction To NXT Stars Working WWE Main Event

It’s something for them. There are a lot of wrestlers on the WWE roster and it can be difficult for the company to find something for all of them to do. One of the best things that WWE has done is split its roster into three different groups. This includes the NXT developmental roster, whose primary goal is to be promoted up to the main roster. Several of them have been getting a bit of a preview lately and it is going well. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: He Nailed It: Vince McMahon Refused To Let Kevin Nash Do Striptease Over the last several months, NXT stars have been appearing on WWE Main Event tapings. This has reportedly been done so WWE higher ups can see them in action outside of the NXT area. According to Fightful Select, WWE is happy with the buzz that the appearances have made, both for the wrestlers and NXT. There is no word on any NXT stars potentially moving up to the main roster. Some of these stars have potential. Check out some of the names who have been on Main Event: [Th..

WATCH: Surprise Name Debuts At WWE Main Event Taping (Contains Minor SPOILER)

She’s a surprise. WWE has all kinds of wrestlers on its roster, which allows it to offer a variety of matches with different stars included. That can make for some interesting moments, but at some point WWE needs to bring in some fresh names to spice things up a bit. They may have done that again, albeit with a name that might be a bit surprising given her history. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Star Reportedly Suspended For Wellness Violation According to Fightful Select, Kylie Rae wrestled at this week’s WWE Main Event taping under the name Briana Ray, facing Dana Brooke. This comes after Rae participated in a WWE tryout camp earlier this month, though it is not clear if Rae has been signed to a contract. Rae has wrestled for All Elite Wrestling, Impact Wrestling and the NWA. However, Rae has walked away from promotions multiple times on little notice, with mental health issues often being rumored (though not confirmed) as the reason. Maybe this works. Check out Rae’..

Three NXT Stars Make Main Roster Debuts This Week (Contains Mild Main Event SPOILERS)

Next three up. There are all kinds of wrestlers on the WWE roster, to the point where the company can split its wrestlers into three different rosters. While Monday Night Raw and SmackDown are the main roster shows, NXT is right there as a third option. However, NXT is the developmental territory and a promotion means a lot for a star. Now three stars might be in for that treatment. According to Wrestlinginc.com, NXT stars Brooks Jensen, Josh Briggs and Fallon Henley all appeared on this week’s edition of WWE Main Event, winning a tag match and singles match respectively. While not confirmed, this could mean that the three of them, who wrestle as a team in NXT, could be on their way to the main roster. Jensen and Briggs are former NXT UK Tag Team Champions. Opinion: I don’t know if this is going to go anywhere but it is nice for the three of them to get a chance somewhere. It isn’t like there is a big audience for Main Event in the first place so even if things don’t go so well, the ..

WWE Sends Confusing Message About New Monday Night Raw Star (MINOR Spoiler)

Do they even know? WWE may be the most powerful wrestling promotion in the world, but there are some criticisms that you will see about the company. One of the most common is that WWE changes plans on a frequent basis, which can cause issues when it comes to storylines. That seems to be the case again, as one WWE star seems unable to make up his mind. According to Fightful Select, Ciampa defeated Apollo Crews during this week’s WWE Main Event taping. Ciampa reportedly wrestled the match as a babyface despite being presented as a heel during his two most recent appearances on Monday Night Raw. There is no word on if this is a new direction for Ciampa or if WWE is going in two different ways on the two different shows. Opinion: That’s about as WWE of a story as you can get, as the company is literally changing their minds by the hour. I’m not sure how much of a difference an appearance on Main Event really makes for Ciampa’s future, but it would be nice to have some consistency with th..

Surprising Names Compete Before This Week’s WWE SmackDown

He might be around more often. The amount of roster changes that NXT has undergone in the last year and a half has been staggering. There are very few people from the previous generation of NXT still around and the few that are are not exactly receiving a lot of attention. Some of them might be in line for a call up though, and now two new names may be joining that list. According to PWInsider.com, both Roderick Strong and LA Knight were backstage at this week’s SmackDown. As seen on Twitter, the two faced off in a dark match before the show went on the air. This comes just after NXT’s Tommaso Ciampa and Pete Dunne have been working dark matches, as well as matches for WWE Main Event. There is no word on if any of the four will be called up to the main roster. Opening match in Nashville LA Knight vs Roderick Strong @battlegroundihr pic.twitter.com/dwnZZanqQ3 — BATTLE (@battleonair) January 22, 2022 Knight has been in NXT since 2021 and is a former Million Dollar Champion. Another WWE Star Seems Unhappy With His Role In The Company

He doesn’t sound pleased. There are a lot of wrestlers under the WWE umbrella and several of them do not get to appear as often as others. That can create some issues for those wrestlers, which has seemed to be on display in the number of wrestlers who have walked away from the company in recent years. Now another wrestler does not seem thrilled with how he is being used and has let fans know about it. Over the weekend, SmackDown’s Ricochet sent out a tweet saying that a wrestler’s nickname is how most people refer to them. Ricochet said that his name should be “Best Match On The Show”. This comes as Ricochet has not been used frequently on television, appearing in only three televised matches since November. He has also not won a televised match since the September 9, 2021 edition of WWE Main Event. So your nickname is what most people call you by?? So my nickname should be “best match on the show” Ricochet! — Ricochet (@KingRicochet) January 16, 2022 Opinion: I’m not sure if Rico..

WWE Main Event Results – August 26, 2021

Main Event Date: August 26, 2021 Location: Perchanga Arena, San Diego, California Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Byron Saxton We’re done with Summerslam and now it is time to get back to normal around here. Granted Main Event has been at normal for a long time now so maybe we can get a little change of pace, even if it does not last long. I’m not exactly thrilled by either option but such is life on this show. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Jeff Hardy vs. Shelton Benjamin They slap hands to start and Benjamin runs him over with a shoulder. Neither can hit their finisher early so Hardy sends him into four top turnbuckles in a row. Another Twist of Fate attempt is countered and Benjamin runs the corner for a knee to the face. We hit the reverse chinlock but Hardy fights up in a hurry and knocks Benjamin down for a breather. Hardy’s leg trap rollup gets two but Benjamin hits a powerslam for the same. The Twist of Fate is countered into a German suplex to give Benjamin two more but no..

WWE Main Event Results – July 15, 2021

Main Event Date: July 15, 2021 Location: Yuengling Center, Tampa, Florida Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Byron Saxton So THIS is the final Thunderdome show because we really can’t escape that place. As much fun as it would be to see a big Thunderdome farewell, it is much more likely to be the run of the mill Main Event, as the show can’t go that long without disappointing me all over again. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Angel Garza vs. Jaxson Ryker Ryker powers him into the corner to start so Garza grabs a somewhat desperate headlock. That’s broken up and Ryker slaps him in the chest, setting up a slam for two. There’s a release gordbuster to drop Garza again but Garza runs OUT OF HIS PANTS. A running dropkick puts Ryker down and Garza actually wins a strike off. Garza hits a basement dropkick for two and it’s off to an armbar. Some elbows to the head keep Ryker in trouble and a bulldog sets up a double arm crank. Back up and Ryker hits a running shoulder in the corner, followed ..

WWE Main Event Results – July 8, 2021

Main Event Date: July 8, 2021 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Byron Saxton Our random wrestling show of the week is back and I’m really not sure what that is going to mean. In a reversal of things that I said for years about Main Event, I’m running out of ways to say that things are different around here and that is a very good thing. I’m curious to see what we get, though it might not wind up working out. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Veer vs. Jeff Hardy Shanky and Jinder Mahal are here with Veer as usual. Veer powers him into the corner to start and Jeff knocks himself down while trying a shoulder. Hardy is sent throat first into the middle rope and we’re already in the neck crank. Jeff fights up but gets taken down by the hair. The nerve hold goes on again but Hardy fights up with a sitout jawbreaker. This time Hardy’s comeback actually works, including some shots to the head but the Twist of Fate (possibly with a botch as w..

VIDEO: Surprise Return Sets Up Likely WWE Main Event Program

Welcome back. One of the most entertaining things you can see in wrestling is a surprise return. If these are timed right, it can be about as cool as you can get in wrestling, as a major name returning at just the right time can do all kinds of good for a show. That was the case again this week, as a legend returned to fill in a spot that no one else was taking at the moment. Edge made a surprise return at the end of this week’s SmackDown. Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman were in the ring to give the State Of The Universal Championship Address, where Heyman spoke about how there was no one left for Reigns to face. Edge then returned and brawled with Reigns, but had to stop to beat up Jimmy Uso instead. This was Edge’s first appearance since losing to Reigns in a triple threat match, also involving Daniel Bryan, at WrestleMania 37. Edge was previously advertised for the July 16 edition of SmackDown, which will be the first WWE event with a full capacity of fans since March 2020. There is ..

WWE Main Event Results – June 10, 2021

Main Event Date: June 10, 2021 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Byron Saxton, Kevin Patrick Things continue their up and down ways around here and I’m running out of ways to say I’m not sure what to expect. That is quite the change of pace after spending so many years talking about how I was out of ways to say that things were too repetitive around here. That means….I have no idea actually. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Angel Garza vs. Mustafa Ali Ali takes him down by the arm to start and slaps on a headlock to annoy Garza even more. Back up and Garza knocks him into the corner, allowing Garza to TAKE OFF HIS PANTS! A neckbreaker out of the corner gives Ali two though and we’re already in the chinlock. Garza fights back up with a kick to the face into a flapjack for two of his own. Ali tries to get up but dives into a right hand to the face for another near fall but it’s too early for a running knee in the corner. A hard posting knocks Garza s..

New WWE Stable Already Seems To Be Broken Up

News from where? WWE has a lot of wrestlers on its roster and it can be rather hard to come up with something for all of them to do. With so many people around, at some point you have to start putting them together, just for the sake of finding a place for them all. A stable can help with that, but a recently formed group might already have been split up without much notice. Over the last few months, we have seen the rise of stables on Monday Night Raw. Both Zelina Vega and Seth Rollins have amassed a group of wrestlers each, with one name from Vega’s team even jumping over to Rollins’ side. That is the kind of thing that makes for some interesting moments, but they weren’t even the only two stables around. They are now though, as something seems to have changed. Last week on WWE Main Event, Ricochet defeated Shane Thorne, who had Brendan Vink in his corner. MVP was on commentary for the show, as he has been for the last several weeks, and made no mention of being associated with Vin..

Funny Reason For Drew McIntyre’s Original WWE Push

It’s certainly a foot in the door. Earlier this month at WrestleMania 36, Drew McIntyre changed the WWE main event scene by defeating Brock Lesnar to become the new WWE Champion. McIntyre’s coronation as the top name in the company had been a long time coming and nearly went down during his first run in WWE. McIntyre certainly came into the company with a bang, but what made him such a big deal so fast? McIntyre made his original debut in WWE back in 2007 and was soon dubbed Vince McMahon’s Chosen One. This was rumored to eventually see McIntyre become WWE Champion, but instead he wound up being part of a comedy rock band. It is clear that plans changed for a few reasons, but what was it that WWE saw in him in the first place? As it turns out, it was something rather simple. During an interview with MuscleManMalcolm, former WWE writer Dave Lagana talked about McIntyre’s early days on the main roster and what caused McMahon to push him. Lagana said that one day he, Dusty Rhodes, Vince..

Reason Why Tom Phillips Was Replaced on 205 Live

<p>As seen on this week’s episode of 205 Live, former House of Hardcore announcer Vic Joseph made his <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/debut/" title="debut">debut</a></strong> at the broadcasting booth for the brand. He will be replacing Tom Phillips moving forward.</p><p>The reason Vic replaced Tom on 205 Live is because the company wants Tom to <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/focus/" title="focus">focus</a></strong> on other duties in the company and he has a lot on his plate with being the lead announcer for SmackDown Live. With Vic is on the rise within the company, the belief is that he is the perfect replacement. Since arriving in the company, Vic has worked on WWE Main Event and NXT in a short time. The company is very high on his work and that’s why Vic has been chosen as Tom’s replacement.</p><p>Tom posted the following on Twitter regarding Vic’s new role on weekly WWE television:</p>
