WATCH: Violent Attack Takes Place After Monday Night Raw

They aren’t done yet. WWE has a lot of television time in any given week and they often fill it with a good deal of action. That is the best way to advance storylines, but there is often more stuff that needs to be done after the show is over. You will occasionally see something take place after the show is over, which was the case this week as the violence continued after Monday Night Raw. Rampage Date: January 13, 2023 Location: Kia Forum, Los Angeles, California Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Chris Jericho We’re still in Los Angeles and you know that is going to mean a big show. I’m not sure what all it is going to entail but that is some of the fun of Rampage. This week’s Dynamite was a strong show so they have a lot to live up to this week. If nothing else, there is a street fight so that means violence. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. TNT Title: Juice Robinson vs. Darby Allin Allin is defending. Feeling out process to start with Robinson grabbing a waistlock to send the champ to the ropes. A headlock slows Robinson down but he grabs a belly to back suplex to escape. The backsplash only hits knees though and Allin is back with another headlock. This time Robinson sends him up and over the top for a nasty crash to the floor, followed by some whips into various hard things. A drop onto the steps rocks Allin again and we take a break. Why WWE Star’s Crown Jewel Performance Was More Impressive Than It Seemed

That’s rather impressive. There are all kinds of wrestling matches to be had, some of which add something extra to ramp up the violence. These matches make things even more intense than usual and it feels special when you see one of them take place. Another was held over the weekend, and now we know something about it that made things all the more impressive. This weekend at WWE Crown Jewel, Drew McIntyre defeated Karrion Kross in a steel cage match. However, according to PWInsider.com, McIntyre wrestled the match while “extremely sick”. McIntyre missed some of the run throughs for his match but was adamant about wrestling no matter what. There is nothing to suggest that McIntyre will miss any ring time due to his illness. Opinion: This is one of those things that makes me even more impressed by McIntyre. He is one of the few wrestlers you never hear about missing shows or causing any issues whatsoever. Extreme Rules 2022 Preview, Predictions And Thoughts

We’re off to another WWE pay per view and in this case it is another show where they already seem to have moved on to getting ready for the next major shows. In this case it’s Extreme Rules, but WWE is already hyping up Crown Jewel next month. That is the kind of show that can make for some good violence, but the show has been hit and miss over the years. Let’s get to it. Edge vs. Finn Balor We’re starting big with an I Quit match, as Edge’s war against Judgment Day continues. This is the kind of a win that could mean quite a bit for Balor, but WWE has a history of giving Edge one big win after another in major spots. I’m not sure why they would do that here, but there is a very real chance that they could go in the wrong direction, as Balor needs the win FAR more than Edge. I’ll go with what should be the sane move here and pick Balor, likely due to Judgment Day threatening Rey Mysterio, or more likely Beth Phoenix. WWE Adds Another Violent Match To Extreme Rules

It’s kind of the point of the show. With so many WWE events out there, each one needs something to make them stand out more than the others. That is why WWE has added a gimmick to most of its major shows and next month’s will be no exception. We are coming up on another of WWE’s themed shows and now they have added another logical match to the card. WWE has announced that Imperium will face the Brawling Brutes in a Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook match at Extreme Rules. The match will be under anything goes rules with all six fighting at the same time. The teams have been feuding for several weeks, including Gunther vs. Sheamus facing off at Clash At The Castle for the Intercontinental Title. Extreme Rules takes place on October 8. Opinion: This is a match that makes all the sense in the world for Extreme Rules as it is a feud that leads into more physicality and violence. Rare Stipulation Set For WWE Extreme Rules Grudge Match

That’s a big match. There are a lot of ways to present a feud in wrestling. It might be over a championship or something personal but there is often a lot of violence involved. This can often include some kind of a special gimmick or stipulation to take the feud to another level. It has worked for years and now it is happening again with a stipulation we do not see very often. Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins have been feuding for the last several weeks, with Rollins defeating him at Clash At The Castle when Riddle got too aggressive. The two have since cost each other matches and had to be held apart this week on Monday Night Raw. Rollins shouted that Riddle could pick the next match so Riddle said in the Fight Pit at Extreme Rules. The Fight Pit has only been used in NXT and features a cage around the ring with platforms on top. The Eater of Worlds has spoken. Earlier today, bray Wyatt posted a cryptic message on his Twitter account where he addressed his thoughts about professional wrestling. Ouch: Nasty Injury Takes Place During AEW Dynamite Main Event

It’s the nature of the match. There are a lot of match types in wrestling and some of them are a lot more violent than others. Some of those matches are designed to be as violent as possible, particularly in matches between people who can’t stand each other. It can make for some serious violence, which is on top of the inherent danger of wrestling. That was the case again this week. The main event of this week’s AEW Dynamite saw Chris Jericho defeat Eddie Kingston in a barbed wire match. The match saw barbed wire around the ring with both wrestlers using it throughout the match. Jericho has since taken to Twitter and revealed that he suffered a broken nose during the match, though it is not clear when in the match it happened. It’s A Painful Game: What Happened After Violent Ending To AEW Dynamite

That could have gone better. There are a lot of match types in wrestling and some of them are built more on violence than anything else. These can be the big finale for a feud and that can make for some rather big moments. It can be better when it is a match type that you do not see happen very often, which was the case again this week. As it turns out, there was more to it after the show was over. The main event of this week’s AEW Dynamite was a barbed wire match between Chris Jericho and Eddie Kingston, with Jericho winning. After the match, Kingston attacked Jericho again and sent him from the apron onto a barbed wire board on the floor. According to PWInsider.com, following the show, Jericho was removed from the barbed wire and taken from the arena on a stretcher. Opinion: That is the way such a night should end, as Jericho was in a very violent and bloody match and shouldn’t have been able to leave on his own. Maybe later. AEW has quite the talent roster, comprised of a varying mixture of wrestlers. This includes established veterans, current top stars and young up and coming talent. With so much talent available, it is impossible to keep track of everyone and sometimes a wrestler might not be able to fit in on the roster. That is the case again and you might not be seeing a young star again. According to Fightful, Jake Atlas is not expected back with AEW in the future. Atlas has not appeared with the company since he tore his ACL in January. Despite being shown in the “Jake Atlas Is All Elite” graphic that normally means that he is signed to a contract, Atlas was on a per appearance deal. Since then, Atlas has been arrested for domestic violence. AEW has not commented on Atlas’ situation. Maybe he’ll swing by. There have been a lot of moves throughout the major wrestling rosters in recent years and there is nothing to suggest that those changes are ending. It can be fascinating to see who goes where and what happens to them, though it can be equally interesting to speculate on what is happening. That seems to be the case again, mainly due to a new piece of merchandise. AEW’s official online store is now selling an art print by former NXT star Sam Shaw (better known as Dexter Lumis). The print is from an original painting of Jon Moxley as done by Shaw and is individually numbers out of two hundred. AEW Star Reportedly Arrested Over Domestic Violence Charges

That’s a serious one. There are all kinds of wrestlers in the world and some of them are among the most larger than life characters that you will find in any form of entertainment. Watching them on television can be a lot of fun and you do not know what you might get to see from one week to the next. However, these wrestlers have lives once the cameras turn off as well and now one of them is having a serious issue. According to PWInsider.com, AEW’s Jake Atlas has been arrested and reportedly charged with domestic assault. Atlas had called his partner to pick him up at a bar before suggesting that the two go to a third person’s home. This resulted in an argument when Atlas’ partner paid more attention to the third person involved than Atlas. Eventually Atlas was taken back to the apartment he shares with his partner, who attempted to leave. Atlas reportedly attacked him and scratched his partner’s arm and tore his shirt. Get A Name Tag: WWE Seems To Make Change To Current Stable

Note the change. Factions have been a concept in wrestling for a very long time and they still are to this day. Putting a group of wrestlers together is something that has been done for years and there are certain aspects that you see pop up over and over. One of them is a good name, and now WWE has given another group their own, though it might not be what was expected. This week on SmackDown, the team of Sheamus, Butch and Ridge Holland were officially named the Brawling Brutes, including a graphic showing their new name. This is a slight change of plans, as WWE had trademarked the name Bloody Brutes earlier in the week. There is no word on why WWE made the change or if anyone else will be added to the team going forward. Opinion: This is a bit of a surprise, though I do get why a company that tries to downplay its violence may not want the term “bloody” to be regularly used. Holding a title means something in the industry as it shows fans who the most important wrestlers are, as those shiny belts are easy to spot. Wrestling is a weird industry, as it is known that the wrestlers are acting and playing characters, but at the same time, it is their job to make you believe that what they are doing is real.
