Dynamite Date: March 8, 2023 Location: Golden 1 Center, Sacramento, California Commentators: Excalibur, Taz, Tony Schiavone We’re done with Revolution and that means it is time to start getting ready for Double Or Nothing. That show is only two and a half months away so AEW actually needs to put some things together a little bit faster here. Other than that, we have a lot of fallout to get through so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. All-Atlantic Title: Orange Cassidy vs. Jay Lethal Cassidy is defending and everyone is sent to the back to start. Cassidy takes him down with an armdrag but gets reversed into a rollup for two. Back in and Lethal counters the tornado DDT but can’t get the Figure Four. They go outside with Lethal’s shoulder getting posted before going back inside, where he crotches Cassidy on top. It’s right back to the floor, with Cassidy’s leg being sent into the post and we take a break. Back with Cassidy winning a slugout and grabbing a suplex. Cassidy’s top rope D..

WATCH: Sheamus, Drew McIntyre And Braun Strowman Have Fun At WWE Live Event

It’s a different kind of show. There are all kinds of WWE events throughout the year and some of them are a bit more personal than the rest. While televised events go in a certain way, live events are much more geared to the crowd and that allows for some more unique moments. That was the situation over the weekend as some WWE stars had a bit of fun before a match. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Plan A: Here Are The Original Plans WWE Title Plans For WrestleMania 39 (They’re Different) Over the weekend, WWE held a live event in Rockford, Illinois, featuring a six man tag match featuring Braun Strowman, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre vs. the Bloodline. Before the match, McIntyre was posing on the top rope when Sheamus lifted up the back of McIntyre’s kilt to look underneath. Strowman laughed at the situation, with McIntyre playing along as well. The Bloodline went on to win the match. It was something funny. Check out what Sheamus did and the team in some more serious moments: [This post contain..

Logan Paul Returns At 2023 Elimination Chamber

He’s back. Logan Paul made his return to WWE at the 2023 Elimination Chamber premium live event. He would make his presence known in the closing moments of the Elimination Chamber match for the United States Championship. From WWE.com: Rollins seemed poised to win the match, but Logan Paul appeared and hit a flipping lariat and a stomp on Rollins as revenge for eliminating him from the Royal Rumble match in January. Theory then hit A-Town Down to win the match and retain his title. IT'S LOGAN PAUL!!!!@LoganPaul just cost @WWERollins the #USTitle at #WWEChamber! pic.twitter.com/6xtDawHvnU — WWE (@WWE) February 19, 2023 Paul was last seen at the 2023 Royal Rumble event, where he was a surprise entrant. He had an incredible spot with Ricochet, when the two collided mid-air, after jumping off of the top rope. Editor’s Opinion: It’s no surprise that he made his return and cost Seth Rollins do United States championship. It seems that a match between the two superstars at Wrestle..

It’s A Swerve: Update On Keith Lee’s AEW Return Status

That’s a relief. There are all kinds of reasons for a wrestler to miss time from television and some of them are more serious than others. One of the worst reasons is an injury of some kind, as you do not know when they are going to be back. On the other hand, there are times when a wrestler is out of action due to a storyline injury, which means the return should be a lot faster. Thankfully the latter is the case in a current situation. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Almost Time: Samoa Joe Opens Up About Possible Retirement From Wrestling On the December 21, 2022 edition of AEW Dynamite, Swerve Strickland and Mogul Affiliates attacked Keith Lee, including Strickland hitting a top rope double stomp to crush a cinder block over Lee’s chest. Lee has not been see on AEW television since the attack. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lee’s absence is only due to the storyline injury and he is expected back soon to feud with Strickland. Lee is a star. Check out what he can do in AEW..

NXT Results – January 31, 2023

NXT Date: January 31, 2023 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Booker T. It’s the go home show for Vengeance Day and that means it is time for the hard sell, which is one of the things NXT tends to do best. In addition to the build towards the show, we also have the long awaited Creed Brothers vs. Indus Sher match, which has been postponed at least once before. Let’s get to it. Indus Sher vs. Creed Brothers Jinder Mahal and Ivy Nile are here too. Julius and Veer slug it out to start with neither getting anywhere. Brutus comes in to slug away at Sanga in the corner but Sanga takes over with the power. It’s back to Julius, who gets dropped throat first onto the top rope to put him in trouble as well. A reverse Beverly Bomb crushes Julius again and we hit the chinlock. Julius fights up and manages to get over to Brutus for the hot tag. Everything breaks down and Julius muscles Veer up for a powerbomb. The sliding lariat is broken up by Mahal t..

AEW Dynamite Results – December 28, 2022

Dynamite Date: December 28, 2022 Location: 1st Bank Center, Broomfield, Colorado Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Taz It’s another stacked show this week with another Death Triangle vs. Elite match, plus the TNT Title is on the line as Samoa Joe defends against Wardlow. Other than that, we are going to hear from MJF, but Bryan Danielson might have something to say about him. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Bryan Danielson vs. Ethan Page Stokely Hathaway is here with Page…and hang on as here is MJF in a sky box to watch. The distraction lets Page jump Danielson, with MJF having his own mic to mock him for a bonus. Page hits a slam but Danielson is right back with a running clothesline. The chops rock Page and the kicks in the corner make it even worse. Page knocks him back down but Danielson manages to knock him off the top. The top rope dropkick drops Page but Danielson has to knock Hathaway’s hat off. The distraction doesn’t work for Page, who gets dropkicked to the flo..

NXT Results – December 6, 2022

NXT Date: December 6, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Booker T., Vic Joseph It’s the go home show for Deadline and I’m not exactly expecting much tonight as a result. The card is mostly set, though we do need to determine the final entrants in each Iron Survivor Challenge. That means a pair of triple threat matches and they at least have some stakes going in. Let’s get to it. Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifying Match: Axiom vs. Von Wagner vs. Andre Chase The rest of Chase U is here with Chase. A running boot rocks Wagner at the bell but he’s fine enough to headlock both of them at once. That’s broken up and a double shoulder puts Wagner on the floor. Axiom loads up a dive but gets rolled up for two by Chase. That’s enough for Wagner to get back up and send them both outside as we take a break. Back with Chase hitting a top rope superplex on Axiom, who lands near Wagner. Either way, Axiom heads to the floor and it’s a slugout between Chase and W..

NXT Results – November 15, 2022

NXT Date: November 15, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Booker T. Deadline is in less than a month but we have a big night to get through first. This week will see two title matches, as the NXT Title and NXT Women’s Titles will both be defended. Those are going to make for some major matches and there is going to be some other big stuff included as well. Let’s get to it. NXT Title: Von Wagner vs. Bron Breakker Wagner, with Mr. Stone, is challenging. Stone offers an early distraction so Wagner can jump Breakker to start. Breakker’s arm is snapped over the top rope and some shoulders to the arm make it even worse. Back up and Breakker snaps off a suplex as we take an early break. We come back with Wagner fighting out of a chinlock and taking Breakker to the floor for a spinebuster onto the steps. Breakker manages a top rope clothesline though and the comeback is on, including the powerslam. The Steiner Bulldog plants Wagner again but ..

Injury Update On R-Truth (And It Might Be Very Bad)

That doesn’t sound good. Injuries are one of the few universal problems for wrestlers and there is almost no way around them. No matter how much experience or training a wrestler may have, there is always the chance that someone is going to get hurt. That seems to be the case again with a veteran, who could have suffered quite a significant injury earlier this week. This week on NXT, R-Truth faced Grayson Waller in a match that stopped when R-Truth suffered a leg injury when attempting a running dive over the top rope. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, R-Truth may have torn his quadricep, but that has yet to be confirmed. There is no word on how long R-Truth, 50 years old, would be out of action if that is the case. Opinion: Anything involving something possibly being torn is never good to see and this could be quite the serious injury. R-Truth is one of the longest standing stars in WWE and it would be a shame to see him missing what would probably be several months wi..

WATCH: Natalya Seems To No Sell Liv Morgan’s Offense Again At WWE Live Event

That’s not a great look. Wrestling is a fairly simple concept, as wrestlers are tasked with making the fans believe that they are seeing a real contest between two wrestlers. That can be easier said than done at times as there are multiple ways to go about pulling it off. One of the most important aspects though is maintaining realism, with one star making that a bit more difficult this weekend. Over the weekend, WWE presented a live event in Glasgow, Scotland, featuring a triple threat street fight featuring Liv Morgan, Natalya and Shayna Baszler. Morgan hit a top rope backsplash on Natalya on a table for the win, but the table did not break. Following the pin, Natalya immediately rolled to the floor and left the arena, similar to what she did to Morgan at a live event earlier this year. There is no word on why Natalya left so abruptly. This isn’t the way things often go. Check out Natalya leaving so quickly: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: I’m not sure if there..

Dynamite Results – September 21, 2022 (Grand Slam)

Dynamite Date: September 21, 2022 Location: Arthur Ashe Stadium, New York City, New York Commentators: Tony Schiavone, Excalibur, Taz It’s probably the biggest Dynamite of the year as we are in a stadium for Grand Slam. As expected, the show is going to be a huge one with a World Title match between Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley for the vacant championship. Other than that, Swerve In Our Glory is defending the Tag Team Titles against the Acclaimed in an All Out rematch. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Ring Of Honor World Title: Chris Jericho vs. Claudio Castagnoli Castagnoli is defending and starts fast by gorilla pressing Jericho onto the top rope. A big boot knocks Jericho outside and Castagnoli follows him, only to have Jericho hide behind former Ring Of Honor owner Cary Silkin. That’s enough for Jericho to get in some cheap shots to stagger Castagnoli but he’s right back with the uppercuts back inside. They fight to the apron and fight over a suplex before forearming it out ..

Impact Wrestling Results – September 15, 2022

Impact Wrestling Date: September 15, 2022 Location: The Factory, Dallas, Texas Commentators: Matthew Rehwoldt, Tom Hannifan We’re rapidly approaching Victory Road and then Bound For Glory, meaning some of the shows’ major matches have already been announced. With some of the bigger shows on the way, it would make sense to give them that much extra attention. There’s a good chance of getting some more added to the cards this week so let’s get to it. Opening recap. X-Division Title: Mascara Dorada vs. Mike Bailey Bailey is defending. They trade armdrags to start before both block one at the same time. An exchange of countered hurricanranas gives them a standoff and they chop it out until Bailey is knocked to the floor. The slingshot dive misses and Dorada wins a chop off outside. Back in and a suicide dive drops Bailey, setting up a missed top rope double stomp back inside. Bailey pulls him into a kneebar but Dorada is in the ropes rather quickly. The running twisting shooting star g..

AEW Rampage Results – July 22, 2022

Rampage Date: July 22, 2022 Location: Gas South Arena, Duluth, Georgia Commentators: Excalibur, Taz, Jim Ross We’re finally finishing up the two week long Fyter Fest and hopefully there is a bit less shark enthusiasm this time around. We’ll be seeing some good stuff this week, including Christopher Daniels vs. Jay Lethal as we are only a day away from Ring Of Honor’s Death Before Dishonor. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Hangman Page/John Silver vs. Butcher and the Blade Silver charges at both of them to start before Page can even get his vest off. That means Silver gets beaten down in the corner as the numbers game gets the better of it. Butcher, who looks to have slimmed down a bit, chops away and it’s off to Blade for the stomping. A suplex gets Silver out of trouble and it’s back to Page to clean house. The fall away slam sends Blade flying and a slingshot dive takes Butcher out. A top rope clothesline gets two on Blade but Butcher pulls Page to the floor for some whips into ..

WATCH: John Cena vs. Kevin Owens From Battleground 2015

The battle continues. WWE has posted a new video to its YouTube channel in which they show the full match between John Cena and Kevin Owens for the United States Championship from Battleground 2015. You can see the video in its entirety below: [This post contains video, click to play] From WWE.com: After absorbing some serious punishment from K.O. in the early goings of this anticipated rubber match, Cena caught Owens with an Attitude Adjustment, a maneuver that somehow only garnered a two-count. With frustration beginning to set in, Cena attempted to go high-risk, taking the challenger to the top rope for a superplex. Anticipating Cena’s next move, Owens reversed the maneuver, sending The Champ crashing down hard on his left shoulder. Cena reeled following that sickening impact, but this fight was far from finished. Dazed and visibly pained, Cena evaded a Pop-up Powerbomb from his opportunistic foe and again went for the Attitude Adjustment. However, Owens quickly countered with..

AEW Dynamite Live Coverage And Results – June 1, 2022

Dynamite Date: June 1, 2022 Location: Kia Forum, Los Angeles, California Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Jim Ross We’re done with Double Or Nothing and for once that means that we are going to be building towards another show. This time it’s Forbidden Door, which is going to includes a bunch of special matches between AEW and New Japan. Odds are that includes new World Champion CM Punk so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. CM Punk/FTR vs. Gunn Club/Max Caster Caster’s rap promises to make FTR pay like Amber Heard and that FTR is only here because of Punk’s coattails. Then the Club gets the city wrong twice before Bowens gets to do it right. Harwood takes Austin into the corner to start and hands it off to Wheeler. Austin powers him into another corner so Colton can come in, only to get backdropped. Punk comes in and drops a top rope ax handle onto the arm, much to the fans’ delight. Caster manages to send him into the corner but Harwood is right back with a powerslam. A do..

AEW Rampage Results – May 13, 2022

Rampage Date: May 13, 2022 Location: UBS Arena, Belmont Park, New York Commentators: Excalibur, Taz, Chris Jericho We’re still in the weird time slot due to some kind of playoffs (basketpuck or hockball I believe) and that means a grand total of nothing on this show. Granted it means very few people are going to watch it, but it isn’t like that is AEW’s fault in this case. This week is going to have some Owen Hart Foundation tournament action so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Death Triangle vs. Butcher/Blade/Marq Quen Penta does the CERO MIEDO to Blade to start and then kicks him in the ribs. Pac comes in to hold Blade in place for the top rope double stomp What’s Up. Jericho’s voice sounds more than a bit off as Butcher comes in to take over on Pac. That doesn’t last long as Butcher is sent outside, allowing Fenix and Quen to come in. A pop up dropkick puts Fenix down and he gets sent outside for a whip into the barricade as we take a break. Back with Fenix fighting out of a f..

Finn Balor Pokes Fun At Bobby Lashley Over Recent Mid-Match Accident

He has some experience. There are some things that you will see in wrestling which you just do not see happening in other sports. That can often be due to the ring itself, which is quite the complicated setup. Sometimes it can be due to something literally falling apart, which took place at a recent WWE show. Now another WWE star is having a good time with the accident. Last week, Bobby Lashley narrowly escaped a very bad situation when the top rope broke and he crashed out to the floor. Lashley was ok following the crash and continued the match against Drew McIntyre. Following the match, Finn Balor tweeted out an image of himself losing to Roman Reigns at Extreme Rules when the top rope broke as well, though Balor’s was planned in advance. pic.twitter.com/imrFbZR5Ab — Finn Bálor (@FinnBalor) April 30, 2022 Opinion: This is something that is worth a chuckle once you know that everyone is ok. Lashley crashing out to the floor like that could have been a complete disaster and it is g..

WATCH: Bobby Lashley Suffers Near Disaster After Ring Rope Breaks At Live Event

That could have been a lot worse. There are so many things that need to go right to make a wrestling match work. In addition to the story and the action itself, wrestlers have to know their way around a ring without having anything go wrong. Sometimes something will go wrong that is completely out of their control though and that was the case this week in a pretty dangerous way. Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre were facing off in a match this week at a WWE live event in Newcastle, England. During the match, Lashley was whipped into the ropes and the top rope broke, sending Lashley crashing out to the floor. The match continued after Lashley was checked out by the WWE medical team and the rope was replaced after the match was over. That’s quite the visual. Check out the accident at the show: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: What matters here is that Lashley seems to be ok as that looked horrible. Lashley is a big man and having him fall down like that with no warnin..

Impact Wrestling Results – April 21, 2022

Impact Wrestling Date: April 21, 2022 Location: 2300 Arena, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Commentators: Matthew Rehwoldt, Tom Hannifan It’s the go home show for Rebellion and we should be in for a solid night. The card is mostly set with the World Title being more than ready, so now it might be time to focus on just about everything else. I’m actually looking forward to the pay per view and if they can get in one last push, we should be in for a nice Saturday. Let’s get to it. Opening recap. Opening sequence. Violent By Design vs. Decay Non-title and it’s Eric Young/Deaner vs. Black Taurus/Crazzy Steve. Taurus hits Deaner in the face to start but Young gets in a cheap shot from the apron to take over. A running knee in the corner gives Deaner two but Taurus knocks him down and brings Steve in to clean house. Steve dropkicks Young off the apron and hits the Cannonball for two on Deaner, with Young dropping a top rope elbow for the save. Everything breaks down and Taurus is sent into th..
