Get Your Money Ready: WWE Attempts To Legalize Betting On Matches

Money money? One of the biggest criticisms that you will hear of professional wrestling is that the endings are planned out in advance as the entire presentation is fixed. While this is true, the stories are built up in a way to leave fans wondering what they are going to see in a match or story. That can make things all the more interesting, and it could potentially make some money. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: They Could See Him: Backstage WWE Reaction To John Cena’s Monday Night Raw Appearance According to CNBC, WWE is attempting to legalize betting on its matches in Colorado and Michigan. The company has hired accounting firm Ernst & Young to help with the pitch. One potential solution would be for WWE to have storylines and results locked in place in advance, with wrestlers only finding out the results just before a match takes place. However, CNBC is a..

WATCH: Violent Attack Takes Place After Monday Night Raw

They aren’t done yet. WWE has a lot of television time in any given week and they often fill it with a good deal of action. WATCH: Title Change Takes Place On AEW Dynamite

He got it back. Titles are one of the most important things in the wrestling world. A championship is the way that fans figure out who the top stars in the company are supposed to be. In addition, they are often the focal point of major storylines as wrestlers try to win any championships they can. A title change can mean something and now that has taken place again. Good News: Positive Update On Seth Rollins’ Health Status

That could be worse. Any wrestling promotion is built around the idea of storylines. If there is nothing to hook fans in and make them care, the wrestling is only going to get them so far. These storylines can be built around almost anything, with some of the most interesting being simple ideas that have been built up over time. WWE is doing that again and now we know a bit more about what is reality. WWE Hires JPMorgan To Help With Sale of the Company

Let the bidding begin. According to a report from CNBC, WWE has hired JPMorgan to begin the process of selling the company. This is being reported following the news that Vince McMahon returned to the company yesterday. The report states that if a deal occurs, it would likely occur in the next three to six months. In addition, WWE plans to talk to potential buyers before it makes a decision on TV rights renewal agreements. McMahon had the following to stay in a statement: “My return will allow WWE, as well as any transaction counterparties, to engage in these processes knowing they will have the support of the controlling shareholder.” His return doesn’t affect current leadership as Stephanie, and former CAA agent Nick Khan are co-CEOs. However, it remains unclear what type of role, if any, Vince would want at WWE if he sold the company. WWE has told investors that his role is essential in “our ability to create popular characters and creative storylines.” Currently, Vince doesn’t h..

Not The Most Positive: “Top” AEW Stars Reportedly Do Not Want CM Punk Back

He wouldn’t be welcome. The biggest AEW star of the year has been the AEW backstage brawl after All Out. The incident led to a series of suspensions and changed all kinds of storylines for the company at the same time. That is the kind of thing you do not see very often and it seems that one star will not be back in the company anytime soon. As it turns out, that might not be the most unpopular decision. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: He Would Know: Sting Reveals (Some) Plans For His Final Match CM Punk was involved in the backstage brawl and has not returned to AEW television since. REVIEW: Prestige Wrestling: Attribute Of The Strong – The Rare Hidden Gem

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net, starting today. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Attribute Of The Strong Date: June 29, 2019 Location: Bossanova Ballroom, Portland, Oregon Commentator: Joe Dumbrowski It’s another show from Independentwrestling.TV as I get everything I can out of a free trial. This is from Prestige Wrestling, a promotion out of the northwest with some names I’ve actually heard of for a change. I’m not sure what to expect from this but that can make it more fun at times. Let’s get to it. As usual, I have no idea what is going on here with characters or storylines s..

WRESTLING RUMORS: Possible Unique Plans For Austin Theory’s Money In The Bank Cash-In

That would be a first. WWE has been around for a rather long time now and they have some traditional shows and events that take place every year. Some of these have long term implications for the top storylines in the company and it can mean a lot for someone to be part of one of them. That was the case earlier this year, and it might still be the case for a large part of next year. Back on July 2, Austin Theory won the men’s Money in the Bank contract, guaranteeing him a World Title shot at any point he chose over the next calendar year. Theory has still yet to cash in, though he has teased doing so on several occasions. According to WrestleVotes via GiveMeSport, WWE is considering having Theory wait one year to cash in. The contract would still be active on the final day Theory can cash it in and his time would be down to minutes. There is no word on if the cash-in would be successful or not. Opinion: This is a different way to go for the briefcase and that is something that could ..

Here’s One Of The First Storylines Triple H Dropped When He Regained Power In WWE

He wasn’t a fan. There are all kinds of characters in wrestling and some of them are a lot more successful than others. Finding the right character for the right wrestlers is one of the trickiest things to do as the wrong combination can be a complete mistake. WWE seemed to think that someone was doing the wrong thing and the change has taken place right before your eyes. Last week on Monday Night Raw, WWE advertised the return of Elias on the following week’s show. This will seemingly be Elias’ full time return after more than a year away, save for a one off cameo earlier this year. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Triple H dropped the Ezekiel character and reverted to Elias almost immediately upon regaining power in WWE. There is no word on if Ezekiel will be referenced again. Opinion: This is one of those things that makes sense the more you think about it. There was little future for Ezekiel, as his entire personality was built around saying he was not Elias’ broth..
