It’s a different way to go. There are all kinds of ways to make a wrestler stand and sometimes a promotion needs to do something different to shake it up. Occasionally you will see a wrestler get something changed up to offer a new presentation. Lana Explains Why Vince McMahon Dropped Rusev Day Storyline

At least he had a reason. The biggest wrestling story of the year has been the departure of Vince McMahon from WWE. After nearly four decades of McMahon in charge of the company, he has finally stepped down and handed the reins off to someone else. That has caused quite a few changes and now we have a better idea about one of McMahon’s less well received decisions. CJ Perry, formerly known as Lana in WWE, recently appeared on In The Kliq to talk about some of her time in WWE. Perry mentioned the Rusev Day story, which took place in 2017-18 and saw Rusev become one of the more popular stars in WWE, though he never officially turned good. According to Perry, McMahon never allowed the full turn because he saw Rusev as his “Bulgarian Brute 300 pound crazy villain” and did not want to change his vision. Rusev was released from WWE in April 2020 and debuted in AEW five months later. Opinion: I can see McMahon’s thinking here, but ultimately you need to take a chance at some point. WWE spen..

AEW Officials Spoke To Two Stars After Recent Aggressive Match

That could have gotten bad. There are a lot of issues that take place during a wrestling show but one of the most impressive things a company can do is keep the fans from knowing about them. Sometimes you can notice a problem here or there though and that was the case last week, to the point where a promotion’s officials had to make sure that everything was ok. Last week on AEW Dark, Athena defeated Jody Threat in a match that saw both of them get more aggressive than usual. According to Fightful Select, AEW officials spoke to both of the women backstage to make sure everything was ok after the match. Sources close to Athena believe that she switched into a heel role during the match because of the positive reaction that Threat received during the match. Opinion: The good thing here is th..

WWE’s Reaction To Bray Wyatt’s Extreme Rules Return

It went well. There are all kinds of ways to bring a wrestler back to television and if done right, they can be very effective. Some of the best ways involve a surprise, but there is something to be said about letting fans know what is coming without knowing what is coming, and now we know how that went when WWE tried it again with the return of a major name. Over the weekend, Bray Wyatt made his return to WWE after over a year away from the company, appearing at the end of Extreme Rules as the reveal of the White Rabbit. According to Fightful Select, the return was well received in WWE and the company was very pleased with the reaction on social media. Some in WWE had been optimistic about a Wyatt return since Vince McMahon retired from the company in July. There is no word on what Wyatt will be doing in WWE. Opinion: I think it would be safe to call Wyatt’s return a success, at least based on the crowd reactions. The fans were happy to have him back and now the question becomes wha..
