Rampage Date: March 10, 2023 Location: Golden 1 Center, Sacramento, California Commentators: Tony Schiavone, Excalibur, Chris Jericho, Jim Ross We’re still in California and it’s the fallout Rampage from Revolution. I’m not sure what that is going to mean as you never know what you are going to get on this show. Sammy Guevara vs. Action Andretti Guevara is more than a bit cocky to start so Andretti takes him down and starts hammering away. Andretti sends him outside and into the steps, setting up a dropkick and moonsault for two back inside. They head outside again with Guevara getting the better of things for a change. It was fun while it lasted. There are so many wrestlers on the WWE roster that it can be easy to forget about some of them. To make it even more complicated, there is also the NXT roster, which features stars who are not on television nearly as often. Occasionally someone will quietly slip away from the company and that seems to be the case again with an international star. Sarray signed with WWE in 2020 but her debut was delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. She appeared infrequently on NXT and was eventually repackaged into an anime inspired character who transformed with a magical necklace. Rampage Date: February 24, 2023 Location: Footprint Center, Phoenix, Arizona Commentators: Jim Ross, Chris Jericho, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone We’re still in the desert and Rampage is still searching for a more viable formula. I’m not sure why AEW seems to punt on this show so often but it does produce some enjoyable results. If you can get by without the star power after the first match, you should be in for a fun one and hopefully that is true this week. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Aussie Open vs. Young Bucks Kenny Omega is here with the Bucks. The Aussies deck the Bucks to start and isolate Matt for a kick to the chest and backsplash. Matt manages to backflip away from both of them and brings in Nick to walk the ropes into a wristdrag/headscissors combination. The Bucks clear the ring but the bigger Davis comes back in to slam them both at the same time. NXT LVL Up Date: February 10, 2023 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Byron Saxton, Blake Howard So somehow, we’re coming off what was an actually entertaining episode last week. If they can keep up that energy this week, it should be another breeze of the show. What makes it more confusing is that it shouldn’t be hard to send in another middle of the road star to boost things up a bit. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. We meet new commentator Blake Howard. Tank Ledger vs. Kale Dixon They trade wristlocks to start until Ledger takes him down with an armbar. An armdrag sets up another armbar and a World’s Strongest Slam gives Ledger two. Dixon manages to send him into the corner though and a neckbreaker gets two. Ledger fights out of a chinlock and a cartwheel into a splash gets another near fall. He’s no longer feeling Ucey. Jey Uso took to Instagram earlier today and posted a cryptic message, following the events of last night’s Royal Rumble premium live event. He’s back! At tonight’s Impact Wrestling Hard to Kill pay-per-view event, former WWE superstar Santino Marella made his debut in Impact Wrestling. Marella made his entrance after Moose used a low blow to defeat Joe Hendry and announced that he is now in the role of the Director of Authority. He then restarted the match, which led to Hendry getting the win and retaining the Digital Media Championship. Saraya Addresses Neck Issues After AEW Full Gear; Wants Match With Sasha Banks
Saraya made her return to the squared circle at AEW Full Gear on Saturday. She defeated Britt Baker in her return match that lasted about 12 and a half minutes. During the post-event media scrum, Saraya addressed the status of her neck after the match with Britt. In a nutshell, she said that her neck “feels great” and that the extensive tests that AEW performed confirmed her neck is 100 percent healthy.
