She’s Gone: WWE Star Reportedly Leaves Company, Return To The Ring Set
It was fun while it lasted. There are so many wrestlers on the WWE roster that it can be easy to forget about some of them. To make it even more complicated, there is also the NXT roster, which features stars who are not on television nearly as often. Occasionally someone will quietly slip away from the company and that seems to be the case again with an international star.

According to Tokyo Sport, Sarray’s WWE contract has expired and she will be returning to the ring in Japan on May 16. Sarray signed with WWE in 2020 but her debut was delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. She appeared infrequently on NXT and was eventually repackaged into an anime inspired character who transformed with a magical necklace. Sarray last wrestled for WWE on the August 2, 2022 NXT and only wrestled 23 matches for WWE in total.

Opinion: Anytime the term “magical necklace” is involved, there might be a problem with what is going on. Sarray never really took off in WWE and a lot of that has to do with how she was presented. There is only so much that any talented star, and Sarray certainly had the talent, can do with that kind of a character and then WWE just seemed to give up on her altogether. Hopefully she can do something better when she gets back to Japan, as she never got a real chance in WWE.
