Double Trouble: Roman Reigns And Drew McIntyre Suffer Same Injury In Same Match

Two at once? Injuries are one of the worst things that you can see in wrestling and sometimes they can show up out of nowhere. Occasionally you can see them take place and know right when it happened, but there are also instances where you only find out after the fact. Now two top WWE stars are both on the shelf for the time being with identical injuries that showed up in different ways. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The New Generation: Former WWE Superstar Reveals Scrapped Plans For New League Of Nations According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, both Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns suffered ruptured eardrums at Survivor Series. As a result, both are out of action for the time being, though both situations are described as “short-term”. Reigns on the other hand has not missed any scheduled matches due to his injury, which came due to a slap from Kevin Owens...

The New Generation: Former WWE Superstar Reveals Scrapped Plans For New League Of Nations

They had an idea. Stables are a concept that has worked in wrestling for decades and continues to do so to this day. It makes a lot of sense as well, as a stable allows several people with anywhere from identical to even somewhat related goals a chance to be on television together. WWE has used them for years, but there was one reincarnation that they passed on instead. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: VIDEO: Kurt Angle’s Huge Birthday Celebration Continues After SmackDown Ends Back in 2015, a group of international stars joined forces as the League Of Nations. The team, comprised of Wade Barrett, Rusev, Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio, were a force in WWE until April 2016 when they split up for good. During an appearance on the 10 Count podcast, former WWE Superstar Mojo Rawley revealed that WWE had considered relaunching the League Of Nations with Cesaro, Shinsuke Nakamura and himself. Rawley did not say when this would have taken place or how far along the plans went. Rawley’s role in the group..

LOOK: WWE Drops Hint At 46 Year Old Former Champion’s Possible Return

Call it a hint? WWE stars are forced to move around a lot as there are only so many places to put them at any given time. Occasionally they are forced to leave for reasons against their will, such as getting hurt. Unfortunately there is no way around something like this and the question becomes how long it will be before they are able to come back. WWE may have dropped a hint about one such upcoming return. WWE has released a new photo gallery featuring images of wrestlers supporting their nations teams for the FIFA World Cup. One such photo includes Bobby Roode representing his native Canada. Roode also had a SmackDown logo behind his picture, indicating that he is still part of the SmackDown roster. Roode has not wrestled since June 25 and underwent surgery in September. There is no word on when he will be returning to the ring. IMG Credit: WWE Roode is a star when he is able to be in the ring. Welcome back. AEW has had quite the large amount of wrestlers coming through its doors over the years, with different names from around the world. The variety has allowed for some different combinations and the showcasing of different stars that you might not have ever seen before. Now one of the stars who left is likely to be back in the company rather soon. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Konosuke Takeshita will be returning to AEW “in a couple of weeks”. This comes after Takeshita returned to Japan following an excursion to AEW earlier this year. AEW always had plans for him to return though it was not clear when he would. Takeshita has faced several AEW names during his time with the company, including challenging Claudio Castagnoli for the Ring Of Honor World Title. Opinion: This is some great news as Takeshita came in to AEW and made an immediate impact while having one entertaining match after another. While the roster is already rather big and deep, there are ..

Here’s What WWE’s White Rabbit Will Likely Be Revealed

Out of the burrow? Every now and then, a WWE storyline captures the imaginations of fans in a positive way. It can give fans something that holds their entrance and makes them wonder where everything is going. That can make for some great build but what matters is sticking the landing. Now we know when the landing of a current WWE landing needs to be stuck. Over the last few weeks, WWE has been running the White Rabbit storyline, which has not included anything taking place on television. Instead, WWE has run moments on live events and aired QR codes leading fans to clues. This has led to speculation about where the story is leading. According to Fightful Select, the reveal is expected to take place at Extreme Rules on October 8, though it is not clear if the person involved in the angle will appear at the show. The person behind the angle is still unknown. Opinion: This would make the most sense as Extreme Rules is the next major event on the WWE calendar. While signs point to this ..

That’s A Turnaround: Former WWE Employee Becomes British Education Secretary

An interesting pair. There are all kinds of wrestling stories going on in the world, but there are a lot more that take place outside of the industry. Sometimes though those worlds combine as wrestling is connected to the outside world, which can often lead to some interesting situations. That was the case again in one of the biggest stories in the world of any kind. One of the biggest international stories of the week has been the collapse of Boris Johnson’s government in the United Kingdom. This included the resignations of over sixty members of Parliament, including Michelle Donelan, who was named Secretary of State for Education, only to resign in protest of Johnson about thirty six hours later. Donelan is a former WWE employee, having worked as International Marketing Campaign Manager from 2010-2014. Opinion: This is one of those things that you do not see happen very often but it makes for a bit of an interesting note. Donelan is not someone most would remember from her time wi..

Twice As Nice: WWE Star Does Something Amazing For Charity

That’s pretty awesome. There are all kinds of things that a wrestler can do outside of the ring and a lot of the time, it is something that can help others in need. A wrestler often has enough celebrity status to make something good happen and that is the case with one of WWE’s international stars. Not only have they done something very good, but now they have done it again. WWE star Sami Zayn has announced that his SamiForSyria charity has launched its second mobile medical unit. The units are designed to offer free of charge medical care for those displaced by the Syrian civil war. Zayn has promoted the idea since 2017, asking fans for donations to fund the units as well as their upkeep. The units serve about 100 people a day with the new unit opening access to six more villages. 5 years ago I started #SamiForSyria – a mobile clinic in Syria delivering medical care to civilians displaced by war. I am proud to tell you: thanks to your support, we now have TWO clinics currently oper..

Wrestling Legend Reveals Very Bad Health News

That doesn’t sound good. There have been so many wrestlers throughout the years and some of them have become names that are known to most wrestling fans. It can be interesting to see what they are doing after they leave the ring, though that does not necessarily mean it is a good thing. That seems to be the case again as a legend has shared some bad news. Wrestling legend Virgil has revealed that he has received bad news regarding his health. Virgil revealed on Twitter that he has suffered two major strokes and has been diagnosed with an early form of dementia. He has set up a page asking for donations, in addition to offering to sell autographs and video shoutouts. Virgil has not wrestled since Talk N Shop A Mania 2 in November 2020. Dearest a Meatsauce Mafia. I am grateful that I can communicate something that has happened to me. Unfortunately I have some really hard news to share. If you were wondering why I haven't been so engaged over the last few weeks it’s because i was..

WWE Morale Reportedly Down Backstage Due To Issues With The Royal Rumble

Is anyone writing this stuff down? There are a lot of moving parts to any WWE event and the Royal Rumble might be the most complicated of them all. When a show has so many people involved in a pair of matches, it is going to take some special planning to make everything work out. Not having things work out well can cause quite the mess and unfortunately that seems to be the case again this year. According to PWInsider.com, WWE’s backstage morale is down after this weekend’s Royal Rumble. The frustration came from the amount of changes made to the card, which were blamed for the quality of the event being seen as poor. This included about twenty changes to the men’s Royal Rumble over the course of the week, including eliminations, the order of the entrants and how the wrestlers would compete during the match. The women’s match included several changes as well. Vince McMahon was said to have been heavily involved with the show’s layout. Opinion: What do you expect here? The Royal Rumbl..

More Details On Drew McIntyre’s Neck Injury And Possible Future

That could be worse. There are a lot of ways a wrestler can get injured, but some of them are issues that build up over time. That can create a serious problem as you do not know how long they can go without getting some sort of treatment. Unfortunately, that seems to be the case again with a top WWE star, who might be out of action for a rather long time to come. Last week at WWE Day One, Drew McIntyre was attacked by Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss, with the injuries being used to write McIntyre off of television due to a neck injury. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, McIntyre’s neck issues have been going on for months now. WWE is hoping to avoid McIntyre undergoing major neck surgery and will have him undergo examinations over the course of the next week. Should he not need major surgery, the hope would be to have McIntyre return by WrestleMania in early April. McIntyre is a force when he is around. Check out what he can do in the ring: [This post contains video, clic..

Wrestle Kingdom XVI Night One Date: January 4, 2022 Location: Tokyo Dome, Tokyo, Japan Attendance: 12,047 Commentators: Chris Charlton, Kevin Kelly It’s back to Japan for the first time in about a year, though the company does feel a good bit colder this time around. The main event of this first night is Kazuchika Okada challenging Shingo Takagi for the IWGP World Title, with the winner facing Will Ospreay tomorrow night. Let’s get to it. Note that I do not regularly follow New Japan so I won’t know much in the way of storylines or recent character development. Please bear with me if I miss something that commentary does not explain. Pre-Show: New Japan Ranbo This is a 19 man Royal Rumble and over the top/pinfall/submission eliminations with one minute intervals. The final four advancing to a four way on night two for the Provisional King Of Pro Wrestling 2..

New Tournament Kicks Off This Week On Monday Night Raw

Get your brackets ready. Tournaments are a pretty simple concept in wrestling as you get to put a bunch of wrestlers together and see which one is the last standing. That can make for some interesting combinations and matches, as you get to have a bunch of wrestlers competing for a prize. That is the case again this week, as WWE now has a new tournament in the process. This week’s Monday Night Raw featured the first round of the RKBronament, a four team tag team tournament to crown new #1 contenders. The tournament was put together by RKBro, who are looking for new challengers. During the first round, the Street Profits defeated AJ Style/Omos and the Mysterios defeated American Alpha. Several WWE Releases May Be Due To Coronavirus Vaccination Status

That’s a reason. The Coronavirus pandemic has shaken up the world in a lot of ways and there are a lot of things that still are not quite the same. It has made for some rather terrible situations, including the amount of people who have gotten sick or even died during the pandemic. Various vaccinations have managed to slow things down a lot, but now they might have caused a problem in the wrestling world. Earlier this week, WWE released nearly twenty wrestlers from the company, with the explanation being a series of budget cuts. However, according to the New York Post, at least one wrestler was released due to their Coronavirus vaccination status, including Nia Jax. According to Fightful Select, there could have been five wrestlers released due to their vaccination status, though no names were included. It was also noted that vaccination status was NOT the only reason for all releases. This is kind of a mess. Check out some of the released wrestlers while you still can: [This post c..

Data Breach Reveals Crazy Income For Wrestlers Streaming On Twitch

They’re doing ok. There have been a lot of changes in WWE as of late and some of them have gone a bit forgotten. Last year, WWE issued a new policy saying that their wrestlers would no longer be allowed to operate third party platforms, including Twitch streams. Instead, WWE would take the accounts over and the wrestlers would receive a portion of the revenue. Several wrestlers were unhappy with this and now we might know why. According to the BBC, Twitch suffered a data breech this week, revealing tons of information about the platform. This includes a list of the income made by several wrestlers, as well as Impact Wrestling’s Twitch channel. The revenue listed covers a period from September 2019 – September 2021 and does not include any sponsorships or donations the streamers might gain as well. Here are some of the amounts, courtesy of Wrestlinginc.com: Paige: $478,224 Zelina Vega: $341,748 Adam Cole: $318,080 Impact Wrestling: $69,140 Tyler Breeze: $43,755 Evil Uno: $35,742 Colt ..

WWE Considered Bringing Back Surprising Stable

What could have been. There have been all kinds of stables over the years in wrestling and some of them have been rather popular in their days. Above all else, a stable can do well when there is a common theme between the members. Some of them are better than others, and the good ones are rarely rehashes of previous editions. WWE avoided making a similar mistake. During a recent Highspots interview, former WWE star Mojo Rawley revealed that WWE was considering a reformation of the League of Nations. The idea would have seen Rawley teaming with Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro while serving as the group’s mouthpiece. This concept never came to pass though and Rawley was paired with Rob Gronkowski for WrestleMania 36 instead. Around the same time, Cesaro and Nakamura were teamed with Sami Zayn as the Artist Collective. Rawley was released from WWE earlier this year. This could have been something. Check out the original team plus the potential members of the new version: [This post contai..
