Monday Night Raw Results – March 6, 2023

Monday Night Raw Date: March 6, 2023 Location: TD Garden, Boston, Massachusetts Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Corey Graves We are less than a month away from Wrestlemania and tonight is going to be one of the bigger shows, as John Cena is back. There is a good chance that we get his Wrestlemania match set up this week, as he is running out of time. Other than that, we also get a face to face staredown between Logan Paul and Seth Rollins. Let’s get to it. The Bloodline (Paul Heyman, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa) arrived earlier today, with Heyman reiterating Roman Reigns’ orders to deal with Sami Zayn. Now Zayn escaped on Friday, so he must be here in Boston tonight. Instead, Sikoa is going to solve the Kevin Owens problem tonight, and Jimmy will solve Zayn, whether Jey is here or not. Jimmy and Solo leave and Heyman calls Reigns. Kevin Owens vs. Solo Sikoa Owens jumps him before the bell but Sikoa fights back and we officially get going. Sikoa kicks away at him a few times and a right ha..

Ring Of Honor TV Results – March 2, 2023

Ring Of Honor Date: March 2, 2023 Location: Universal Studios, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Ian Riccaboni, Caprice Coleman So after a year or so of Ring Of Honor being a major part of AEW, it is time for the company to get its own show. That might mean quite a few things, but there is a good chance that we are going to be seeing a bunch of AEW stars around here. This show could go in a few different ways though so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Mark Briscoe vs. Slim J The rest of the Trustbusters are here with Slim J, who kicks away the Code Of Honor before the bell. Redneck Kung Fu sends J outside but a Mark Sterling distraction lets J get in a low blow. Briscoe is fine enough to kick J to the floor, setting up the dropkick through the ropes. It’s too early for the chair assisted dive so Briscoe strikes away back inside. Another Sterling distraction lets J hit a knee to the face, setting up a reverse DDT for two. Briscoe is busted open as J chokes away in the corner, followe..

NXT LVL Up Results – February 24, 2023

NXT LVL Up Date: February 24, 2023 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Blake Howard, Byron Saxton It’s another LVL Up and again I’m not sure what to expect. The best formula around here seems to be having some midcard NXT stars in the main event and the younger stars filling in the rest of the show. That has worked well in the past, but you never know what direction the show is going to take. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Axiom vs. Kale Dixon Dixon works on the arm to start but Axiom reverses into an armbar of his own. A springboard kick to the side of the head drops Dixon but he’s right back with some clubbing forearms. They trade kicks to the ribs until Dixon gets two off a delayed vertical suplex. Axiom strikes his way out of a chinlock and there’s a high crossbody. The Golden Ratio finishes for Axiom at 4:35. Result: Axiom b. Kale Dixon – Golden Ratio (4:35) Myles Borne and Tank Ledger are different on paper but they can win together tonight..

Impact Wrestling Results – February 23, 2023

Impact Wrestling Date: February 23, 2023 Location: Osceola Heritage Park, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Matthew Rehwoldt, Tom Hannifan It’s the go home show for No Surrender and the card is set up. There is one thing though that we need to cover, which involves who gets to talk first in a live edition of Busted Open Radio. Therefore, we have a Beat The Clock Challenge between Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer. Let’s get to it. Opening recap. Motor City Machine Guns vs. Jonathan Gresham/Mike Bailey Non-title and Gresham takes Shelley down by the leg to start. Bailey comes in and kicks away at said leg, with Gresham and Bailey taking turns on it. Shelley manages to knock Bailey outside though and it’s the Guns taking over for a change. Back in and the limping Shelley strikes away at Bailey, who comes right back with the bouncing kicks to Sabin. Gresham and Sabin slug it out until Gresham does one of those stupid looking deals where he sends the Guns together and kicks Sabin, making him dr..

Impact Wrestling Results – February 2, 2023

Impact Wrestling Date: February 2, 2023 Location: Osceola Heritage Park, Kissimmee, Florida Commentators: Tom Hannifan, Matthew Rehwoldt It’s the start of a new month and we are well on our way to No Surrender. Last week saw Rich Swann win a #1 contenders match to earn a shot at Josh Alexander later this month, but it still feels like we are coming up on Steve Maclin as the really big bad. Odds are we see more of the build this week so let’s get to it. Opening recap. Opening sequence. Bullet Club vs. Kevin Knight/Kushida Knight and Ace start things off with Bey’s headlock not getting him very far. Knight misses a charge into the corner and Bey stomps him in the back, only to get caught with a springboard spinning crossbody. It’s off to Kushida to start in on the arm but it’s right back to Knight, whose springboard is dropkicked out of the air. Austin comes in to stomp Knight down for two and he kicks away at Knight in the corner. The Club starts taking turns on Knight, with Austin ..

The New King: Gunther Sets Impressive All Time Record In Royal Rumble Match

Down it goes. Wrestling is like any other sport in a lot of ways, including by having numbers and statistics play a huge role. There are certain records that are well known among wrestling fans, but every now and then one of those numbers will fall. It can be a big deal when something like that happens, and it happened again in a big way this weekend on a grand stage. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Homecoming: Surprise Return Kicks Off WWE Royal Rumble This weekend, WWE presented its annual Royal Rumble event. The show opened with the Men’s Royal Rumble match, which saw Gunther enter at #1 and set a new longevity record for the match. Gunther lasted 1:11:25, breaking Rey Mysterio’s record of 62:12 set in 2006. Commentary did make it clear that Gunther’s record was in traditional Royal Rumble matches, as Daniel Bryan lasted 74:12 in the Greatest Royal Rumble in 2018, though that match had 50 entrants compared to the traditional 30. Gunther finished as the match’s runner up to Cody Rhodes. Th..

Homecoming: Surprise Return Kicks Off WWE Royal Rumble

Welcome back! Commentary is one of the most important parts of any wrestling show as they are there to guide you through the show. The team, or occasionally solo broadcaster, will explain what you are seeing and what you should be noticing. Having the right commentary team is a tricky ordeal to pull off but now WWE has one of its more popular commentators back behind the mic. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Not For Her: Update On Why Ronda Rousey Is Not Working The WWE Royal Rumble Pat McAfee made his surprise return to the WWE commentary team this weekend at the Royal Rumble. McAfee was brought out before the first match began and joined Michael Cole and Corey Graves on commentary. This ended a four month hiatus for McAfee, who took a leave of absence from the SmackDown commentary team to join ESPN’s College Gameday team. McAfee can do a lot. AEW Rampage Results – January 6, 2023

Rampage Date: January 6, 2023 Location: Portland Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Portland, Oregon Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Chris Jericho We are in for the first of two hours of AEW TV this week. That could mean quite a few things, but we do have a TNT Title match as new champion Darby Allin defends against Matt Taven. It’s a little weird to have a title match on the show right before a title made of nothing but title matches, but it should be good. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Top Flight vs. Jon Moxley/Bryan Danielson The Club gets jumped from behind to start and it’s Darius dropkicking Moxley for a quick one. A standing moonsault gives Dante two but it’s off to Danielson to fire off the kicks in the corner. Moxley comes back in to hammer away before it’s a four way standoff. The double fights go to the floor, with Moxley and Danielson hitting running kicks against the barricade. Back in and Danielson puts Dante in a surfboard, allowing him to rip at the..

AEW Dynamite Results – December 28, 2022

Dynamite Date: December 28, 2022 Location: 1st Bank Center, Broomfield, Colorado Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Taz It’s another stacked show this week with another Death Triangle vs. Elite match, plus the TNT Title is on the line as Samoa Joe defends against Wardlow. Other than that, we are going to hear from MJF, but Bryan Danielson might have something to say about him. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Bryan Danielson vs. Ethan Page Stokely Hathaway is here with Page…and hang on as here is MJF in a sky box to watch. The distraction lets Page jump Danielson, with MJF having his own mic to mock him for a bonus. Page hits a slam but Danielson is right back with a running clothesline. The chops rock Page and the kicks in the corner make it even worse. Page knocks him back down but Danielson manages to knock him off the top. The top rope dropkick drops Page but Danielson has to knock Hathaway’s hat off. The distraction doesn’t work for Page, who gets dropkicked to the flo..

Impact Wrestling Results – December 22, 2022

Impact Wrestling Date: December 22, 2022 Location: Charles F. Dodge City Center, Pembroke Pines, Florida Commentators: Tom Hannifan, Matthew Rehwoldt We’re still getting closer to Hard To Kill and now it seems that a Tommy Dreamer vs. Bully Ray showdown is imminent. If there is one thing that this company has loved over the years, it is pushing the heck out of former ECW stars. Other than that, Jordynne Grace is getting ready to face Mickie James in what should be a heck of a pay per view Knockouts Title match. Let’s get to it. Opening recap. Opening sequence. Knockouts Tag Team Titles: Deonna Purrazzo/Gisele Shaw vs. Death Dollz The Death Dollz (with Taya Valkyrie) are defending and Jai Vidal is here with Purrazzo and Shaw. Jessicka powers out of a wristlock to start and then shoves her down again, meaning it’s time for Shaw to try. Shaw gets powered into the corner for a splash and it’s already off to Rosemary. The Upside Down has Shaw in trouble but Purrazzo kicks Rosemary from..

NXT Results – November 29, 2022

NXT Date: November 29, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Booker T., Vic Joseph This week is about the past and the future, as a group of Hall of Famers, led by Shawn Michaels, will announce the participants in the Iron Survivor Challenge. That would be quite the segment and it will determine most of the Deadline card. The main event is a rather big six woman tag so let’s get to it. Indi Hartwell vs. Roxanne Perez Hartwell powers her around to start but Perez dropkicks her down. The chinlock goes on to slow Hartwell up but she fights up and sends Perez crashing out to the floor. Back in and a boot to the face drops Perez and a hard clothesline gives Hartwell two. A sideslam sets up the chinlock but Perez is up rather quickly. Perez forearms away and sends Hartwell face first into the middle buckle as the comeback is on. A running basement dropkick sends Hartwell into the corner, where she comes out with a belly to back suplex to cut Perez off. Pe..

Dynamite Results – November 16, 2022

Dynamite Date: November 16, 2022 Location: Total Mortgage Arena, Bridgeport, Connecticut Commentators: Excalibur, Taz, Tony Schiavone, Ian Riccaboni It’s the go home show for Full Gear and that means the card could still use some work. If nothing else, we need to have some more matches in the Contenders tournament as the finals are still set for Saturday. Other than that, odds are we’ll be hearing from MJF and Jon Moxley. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Bryan Danielson/Claudio Castagnoli vs. Chris Jericho/Sammy Guevara It’s a brawl to start with the Club elbowing away at Guevara and Jericho, followed by a surfboard to Guevara. Back up and Guevara hits a dropkick to take over, allowing Jericho to come in for the chops in the corner. Danielson fights out and scores with the running dropkicks to Guevara but tries once too often. Jericho gets in a cheap shot from the floor and we take a break. Back with Danielson getting double suplexed but managing to get over for the hot tag to C..

Impact Wrestling Results – November 3, 2022

Impact Wrestling Date: November 3, 2022 Location: Sam’s Town Live, Las Vegas, Nevada Commentators: Matthew Rehwoldt, Tom Hannifan We are about two weeks away from Overdrive and the card is starting to take shape. While the World Title match is already set, we still need to get the X-Division Title match ready, which is where this week comes in. Odds are there are going to be more tournament matches this week and that should be a good thing. Let’s get to it. Opening recap. Eddie Edwards blames PCO for the destruction of Honor No More and invites him to come fight him in the desert. Opening sequence. X-Division Title Tournament First Round: Kenny King vs. Mike Bailey Feeling out process to start with King being weary of the big kick. An exchange of rollups get two each until they both try kicks to the ribs. Bailey dropkicks him for two and King is sent outside, but it’s too early for the dive. Back in and Bailey cranks on the leg, with a leglock sending King over to the rope. King’s..

AEW Battle Of The Belts IV Results

Battle Of The Belts IV Date: October 7, 2022 Location: Entertainment And Sports Arena, Washington DC Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, William Regal, Chris Jericho We’re back to another of these things and that does not offer the most inspiration. The series does not seem to be a priority for AEW but the action tends to be rather good. This is also a live show so maybe things can be picked up a little bit from its usual status, which would be appreciated. Let’s get to it. All-Atlantic Title: Trent Beretta vs. Pac Pac is defending and is still in the ring after wrestling in the 20+ minute Rampage main event. Trent has Chuck Taylor in his corner and wins an early slugout for a bit of a surprise. A running clothesline puts Pac on the floor and there’s the dive to take him out for a bonus. Back in and Trent hammers on the ropes, setting up a dropkick to take it outside again. A spear on the floor drops Pac for two back inside but he kicks Trent outside this time. The table is set up bu..

NXT LVL Up Results – October 7, 2022

NXT LVL Up Date: October 7, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Matt Camp, Nigel McGuinness We are back to the show that changes so little week to week that I didn’t even realize I watched the same episode twice. Odds are there are going to be a lot of the same things this week as tends to be the case around here. That should mean some ok stuff, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up for anything spectacular. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Indi Hartwell vs. Sloane Jacobs Hartwell grabs a headlock takeover to start as we hear about Hartwell’s time in the Way. Jacobs slips out and hits a basement dropkick, only to get slammed down for two. A cravate goes on but Jacobs fights up and kicks her in the face a few times. Not that it matters as Hartwell hits the spinebuster for the pin at 3:17. Result: Indi Hartwell b. Sloane Jacobs – Spinebuster (3:17) Arianna James and Kiana James say don’t underestimate them. Myles Borne vs. Guru Raaj Borne wrestles him..

Impact Wrestling Results – September 29, 2022

Impact Wrestling Date: September 29, 2022 Location: Skyway Studios, Nashville, Tennessee Commentators: Matthew Rehwoldt, Tom Hannifan We are done with Victory Road and that means we are only a little over a week away from Bound For Glory. I’m still not sure why Victory Road was such a necessary show before the biggest night of the year but at least it wasn’t an eventful night, meaning Bound For Glory got even more build. Hopefully that can continue tonight so let’s get to it. Opening recap. Bullet Club vs. Trey Miguel/Laredo Kid It’s Ace Austin/Chris Bey for the Club, with Juice Robinson in their corner. Austin and Kid start things off with an exchange of wristlocks but hold on as Austin needs to hold up Too Sweet. A quick high crossbody gives Kid an early two so it’s Bey offering a distraction so Austin can take over on the arm. Bey comes in with a backbreaker as we hear about his album coming out around Halloween. Kid slips away and hands it off to Miguel to fire off kicks at Bey..

Impact Wrestling Results – September 22, 2022

Impact Wrestling Date: September 22, 2022 Location: The Factory, Dallas, Texas Commentators: Tom Hannifan, Matthew Rehwoldt It’s the go home show for Victory Road, which means we are about a month away from Bound For Glory. Victory Road is being treated as a pretty big deal so it would make sense to have a good go home show. This week does feature a pretty big showdown with Aussie Open vs. the Motor City Machine Guns. Let’s get to it. Opening recap. Digital Media Title: Bhupinder Gujjar vs. Brian Myers Myers is defending in a ladder match. Gujjar slugs away to start and hits a jumping knee to the face. A Samoan drop looks to set up the Gargoyle spear but Myers knees him out of the way. The first ladder is brought in but Gujjar dropkicks it into his face. Myers knocks him outside though and goes up for the title, only to be pulled down into a cutter. Now the Gargoyle spear can send Myers into the ladder but the climb takes too long, as usual. The ladder is knocked into Gujjar and it..

Monday Night Raw Results – September 19, 2022

Monday Night Raw Date: September 19, 2022 Location: SAP Center, San Jose, California Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton We are less than three weeks away from Extreme Rules and much like we have seen in recent weeks, there is a title match as Bobby Lashley is defending the United States Title. Other than that, we should be getting some build to the pay per view, which is needing some matches added. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. United States Title: Seth Rollins vs. Bobby Lashley Lashley is defending and we get some Big Match Intros. They take their time to start with Rollins having to slip away from the power. The threat of a spear sends Rollins outside but he switches places and tries a dive. That gets pulled out of the air but Rollins avoids the posting. Back in and Rollins kicks away, only to have Lashley block the stomp by putting his hands on the mat and knock him outside. We take a break and come back with Rollins working on the arm, which went into th..
