WATCH: Triple H Discusses The Future Of Hell In A Cell Match
Well, maybe? WWE is in the middle of a series of huge changes and there is nothing to suggest that those changes are ending anytime soon. Some of the changes involve the company premium live events calendar changing, but very little has been confirmed so far. Now we are hearing a little bit more about this from one of the most powerful people in wrestling today. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Do It Again: Title Change Takes Place At WWE Survivor Series WWE held a press conference after this weekend’s Survivor Series event, featuring WWE Head Of Creative Triple H answering questions. Triple H spoke about the idea of themed events, such as Money In The Bank, Elimination Chamber and Hell In A Cell continuing. Regarding Hell In A Cell, Triple H said that it was the match that made sense as a challenge match to end a feud, such as how he and Mick Foley faced off at No Way Out 2000. However, Triple H did not give a definitive answer on the show and/or match’s fate, only saying that it was “up in t..

AEW Releases Name Involved In All Out Backstage Brawl
It had to happen to someone. There have been a lot of stories in wrestling this year but perhaps the most bizarre has been the backstage brawl after AEW All Out. There have been several suspensions as a result of the issue and the question becomes just how bad things are going to get for everyone. While there are still issues to be decided for the top names, we now know the fate of one person involved. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, AEW has officially released Ace Steel from the company, where he had been working backstage. Steel was involved in the backstage brawl and reportedly threw a chair, which hit Nick Jackson in the head. Steel had also appeared on a recent edition of Dynamite, where he inspired CM Punk to face Jon Moxley in a rematch for the AEW World Title. Opinion: I don’t think this is quite the surprise as Steel wasn’t a major name in AEW and hadn’t even been around that long. It makes sense for Steel to be gone from the company and eliminates one factor in the e..

AEW Rampage Results – September 16, 2022
Rampage Date: September 16, 2022 Location: MVP Arena, Albany, New York Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Chris Jericho, Tony Schiavone The road to normalcy continues this week but there might not be as much to get hyped about with this show. The problem is that with no tournament matches for this week, there is only so much that can be done to bring in the interest. Rampage has a tendency to not feel the most important but maybe they can pull it off. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Matt Hardy vs. Darby Allin They shake hands to start and it’s Allin grabbing a headlock takeover. Hardy fights up so Allin crucifix bombs him for two. With Hardy on the floor, Allin’s dive is cut off but he drives Hardy into the steps to knock him silly again. Allin goes Jeff/PCO by trying a Swanton, which only hits apron because people like him never learn. We take a break and come back with Hardy hitting a Side Effect out of the corner for two. The Twist of Fate is countered and a suplex is as well..

Main Event Results – September 2, 2021
Main Event Date: September 2, 2021 Location: Paycom Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Byron Saxton We’re out of the Summerslam fallout week and that means we are ready to get started on the road towards Extreme Rules. Some of the build began this week on Raw and odds are we’ll be seeing a lot more of that this week. As for the Main Event stuff, it’s probably time for more of the usual. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Jeff Hardy vs. Cedric Alexander They trade spinning of their jackets to start until Alexander drives him into the corner and shouts about what Jeff has. A headlock has Hardy in more trouble but he sends Alexander face first into all four buckles. An ax handle sets up a failed Twist of Fate attempt and Alexander heads outside. Hardy misses a dive and bangs up his knee so Alexander can choke away back inside. Alexander takes him into the corner but Hardy headscissors his way to freedom. They slug it out until Hardy atomic drops him to set up..

WWE Main Event Results – August 26, 2021
Main Event Date: August 26, 2021 Location: Perchanga Arena, San Diego, California Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Byron Saxton We’re done with Summerslam and now it is time to get back to normal around here. Granted Main Event has been at normal for a long time now so maybe we can get a little change of pace, even if it does not last long. I’m not exactly thrilled by either option but such is life on this show. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Jeff Hardy vs. Shelton Benjamin They slap hands to start and Benjamin runs him over with a shoulder. Neither can hit their finisher early so Hardy sends him into four top turnbuckles in a row. Another Twist of Fate attempt is countered and Benjamin runs the corner for a knee to the face. We hit the reverse chinlock but Hardy fights up in a hurry and knocks Benjamin down for a breather. Hardy’s leg trap rollup gets two but Benjamin hits a powerslam for the same. The Twist of Fate is countered into a German suplex to give Benjamin two more but no..

Interesting Reason Keith Lee Has Not Been On Monday Night Raw
There’s a reason. WWE has a lot of talented wrestlers on its roster today and unfortunately that means not everyone is going to get their chance to do something. Every now and then you see a wrestler whose fate leaves fans puzzled, which is rarely a good thing to see. That is currently the case on Monday Night Raw, but now we might know what is going on with a certain star. According to PWInsider.com, Monday Night Raw’s Keith Lee has mainly been wrestling in dark matches prior to the television broadcast because WWE wants to refine Lee’s skills. The idea has been to figure out what works best for Lee in the ring, as WWE is not sure how to use him. Lee returned to WWE television in July after six months away from the ring due to health issues. This shouldn’t be hard. Check out what Lee can do in the ring: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is the kind of thing that has me wo..

How Vince McMahon Reacted To A Horrible Match
He matters most. While he might not be around as often as he was before, there is no one more powerful in WWE than Vince McMahon. His opinion or thought on a wrestler, storyline, or pretty much anything in the company can determine its fate and that is often a powerful weapon. It can be both good and bad, though in one infamous occasion, it did not turn out well at all. Back on July 2, 2001, Monday Night Raw included a WCW World Title match with Booker T. defending against Buff Bagwell. The match was meant to kick off the new WCW but was so poorly received that it partially caused the plans to be canceled, setting up the InVasion storyline instead. It was an important night in WWE’s history, but what did McMahon think about what happened? Jim Ross discussed the match on his Grilling JR podcast, saying that McMahon was not happy with the result. The match resulted in a loss of fan interest and momentum for the story, as McMahon felt that Booker T. and Bagwell could have a good match t..

WWE Main Event Results – July 8, 2021
Main Event Date: July 8, 2021 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Byron Saxton Our random wrestling show of the week is back and I’m really not sure what that is going to mean. In a reversal of things that I said for years about Main Event, I’m running out of ways to say that things are different around here and that is a very good thing. I’m curious to see what we get, though it might not wind up working out. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Veer vs. Jeff Hardy Shanky and Jinder Mahal are here with Veer as usual. Veer powers him into the corner to start and Jeff knocks himself down while trying a shoulder. Hardy is sent throat first into the middle rope and we’re already in the neck crank. Jeff fights up but gets taken down by the hair. The nerve hold goes on again but Hardy fights up with a sitout jawbreaker. This time Hardy’s comeback actually works, including some shots to the head but the Twist of Fate (possibly with a botch as w..

Miro Day In AEW: What Happens Next?
Miro’s arrival in AEW, while surprising, was not wholly unexpected. The former Rusev made his debut on the September 9 edition of Dynamite, where he was revealed as the best man for Kip Sabian’s upcoming wedding with Penelope Ford. Since his departure from WWE, Miro’s pro wrestling fate was the topic of heavy speculation among fans, many of whom predicted his imminent signing with Tony Khan’s company. No one knows how long Miro will be aligned with Sabian, but it’s clear that The Bulgarian Brute is likely headed for big things in his new environment. Miro’s presence in an AEW ring was very surreal for many who watched Dynamite. But he was in great shape and he had a big smile on his face. This was not the same man who last stood in a WWE ring and was following the law of the land in Vince McMahon’s company. For many Superstars, their creative direction is stifled and they typically have very little input. That situation inevitably leads to frustration and ultimately, to separation...

EXCLUSIVE: WrestleMania 36 Could Be Having Some Major Format Changes
As reported, WWE has officially made a decision regarding the fate of WrestleMania. The show will not be held inside the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Instead, it will be at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. As of this writing, an announcement has not been made on the fate of NXT, Raw, SmackDown, and the WWE Hall of Fame, but it will be reported as the information comes in. After speaking with a source close to WWE, the show could be having some major format changes. The source stated that he does not expect to show to go by the normal seven-hour format, with two hours of the pre-show and five hours of the main card. In addition, he also stated many of the undercard matches could be snubbed from the card, in order to reduce the empty arena show. As shown by the past SmackDown and the “3:16 day” episode of Raw, both the Elimination Chamber and Royal Rumble matches were shown respectively to fill in network time. Since they control the WWE Network programming, ..

Daniel Bryan and The Miz: Destined to Meet at SummerSlam
Daniel Bryan attacked The Miz on the July 17 edition of WWE SmackDown Live. Miz was in the middle of a mock funeral for Team Hell No when the Yes man decided to crash the party. The Miz did escape but it’s clear that the time has finally come for a massive showdown and that showdown will likely happen at SummerSlam. It was only a matter of time until this happened. The Miz took issue with Bryan since Daniel became the SmackDown General Manager and the heat between them only escalated from there. The Miz has always believed he’s the best in the WWE locker room. But he also believed that Daniel was an overrated Superstar that did not deserve the amount of spotlight he received. From a character perspective, it was only logical that Miz went after Bryan. As the GM, Daniel held The Miz’s fate in his hands. A heel like The Miz could not deal with that, anymore than he could deal with a talent of Daniel’s caliber telling him what to do. Miz’s ego is matched only by his insecurity and that w..

Who Was Deleted in Ultimate Deletion?
Hopefully he doesn’t fade away. Last year at “Wrestlemania XXXIII”, the Hardys made their return to WWE for the first time in several years. After a long delay, the characters debuted a few months back, and tonight it was the grand culmination with the Ultimate Deletion. So who was deleted? And so it begins. [This post contains video, click to play] In the match tonight, Matt Hardy defeated Bray Wyatt with a Twist of Fate after a distraction from Jeff Hardy, who made a very brief cameo. After the match, Wyatt was shoved into the Lake of Reincarnation but disappeared. With no body to be found, Matt declared that Wyatt had been deleted. You can read tonight’s full results right here. Opinion: This went about as well as you could have asked it to. The wrestling wasn’t the point as everything was about the violence and insanity.
