Last week on Dynamite, MJF and Ricky Starks had a match that tore the house down. The storytelling was fantastic, the action was great, and the build up leading into the match made me very emotionally interested to see what was going to happen. This was Starks’ breakout match, and I hope it leads to him being a main event player in AEW for a long time. However, as I was watching the show the last week, I realized something very, very important. And it’s something that could be the foundation for how AEW operates in the future. WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE’s Weird Plan For Roman Reigns To Lose World Title
That would have been different. Roman Reigns has dominated the WWE landscape for more than two years now and there is nothing to suggest that he is going to be falling from the top anytime soon. WWE has built Reigns up into an all time star and it is not clear who can take one or both World Titles from him. It seems WWE might have had a plan to have him drop one in a bit of a messy way. They have a plan. Back at WWE Extreme Rules, Bray Wyatt made his return to the company after a year plus absence. Wyatt’s return has led to a question about what is next for him in WWE, as he has been presented as one of the top stars in the company. Now WWE needs to figure out what he is going to do next and they might have an idea for a major feud. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE may be considering a feud between Wyatt and Roman Reigns at some point in the future. AEW Releases Name Involved In All Out Backstage Brawl
It had to happen to someone. There have been a lot of stories in wrestling this year but perhaps the most bizarre has been the backstage brawl after AEW All Out. There have been several suspensions as a result of the issue and the question becomes just how bad things are going to get for everyone. While there are still issues to be decided for the top names, we now know the fate of one person involved. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, AEW has officially released Ace Steel from the company, where he had been working backstage. Steel was involved in the backstage brawl and reportedly threw a chair, which hit Nick Jackson in the head. Steel had also appeared on a recent edition of Dynamite, where he inspired CM Punk to face Jon Moxley in a rematch for the AEW World Title. Backstage News On Karrion Kross’ Push In WWE
Tick tock. Perhaps the biggest story in professional wrestling this past week has been the return of Karrion Kross to WWE. He attacked Drew McIntyre in the closing moments of last week’s episode of SmackDown. According to a report from PWInsider, WWE is planning to push Kross to be the No. 2 heel on the blue brand, behind Roman Reigns. In addition, Scarlett will continue to manage him and isn’t currently planning to be wrestling regularly, but that could be a possibility in the future. The report also states that after the pair were released last year, there was still regular communication between them and the company.
