He’s back. Logan Paul made his return to WWE at the 2023 Elimination Chamber premium live event. He would make his presence known in the closing moments of the Elimination Chamber match for the United States Championship. She’s back. The main event of tonight’s episode of Raw featured a steel cage match between Becky Lynch and Bayley that was originally supposed to take place at Raw XXX. While Bayley would have backup with Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky, it appeared that The Man had some backup too. In the closing moments of the match, Lynch was getting ready to escape the cage, when interference from Kai and Sky prevented The Man from getting out. Just when it looks like Bayley was going to get the win, WWE Hall of Famer Lita made her return to television to even the odds. She would fight off Damage Control, slam the door in Bayley’s face, and allow Lynch to get the win. That’s the big one. We are just over two weeks away from Elimination Chamber, which is the final stop on the Road To WrestleMania 39. The show will feature a pair of the event’s namesake matches, which will feature twelve wrestlers between the pair. There are only three names announced for the Royal Rumbles so far and that means some spots need to be filled. Pick up your last check. In the closing moments of Raw this week, WWE official Adam Pearce got into a confrontation with Bobby Lashley following his main event match with Seth Rollins. The All Mighty was about to win the match and an opportunity at the United States Championship against Austin Theory when the referee was knocked out of the ring and twisted his ankle. This slight distraction allowed Rollins to recover and hit Lashley with a Pedigree out of a spear. Rollins would then make the cover to become the no. 1 contender for the championship. Following the match, Lashley would snap and take out his aggression on two referees. A part-time schedule and smart booking has allowed the WWE Hall of Famer to continue wrestling for the past three years in select feuds, but even he would be the first tell you that he’s wrestling on borrowed time. During a recent podcast episode of the Leafs Morning Take, Edge discussed a number of topics, including the Toronto Maple Leafs, the fact that the Montreal Screwjob was his first WWE PPV he attended as a talent and an update on the “clock ticking” on The Rated R Superstar’s wrestling career. He wants in too. There has not been a WWE star on as much of a roll as Roman Reigns in decades. Reigns is rapidly closing the gap with the longest WWE Title reigns in company history and the question becomes how far he can take his current reign with the title. A lot of people are interested in getting involved with Reigns, including someone who has been gone for a long time. During the latest edition of his Cafe de Rene podcast, former WWE star Rene Dupree said that he believes he could do great business with Reigns, or any of the top stars in WWE. This could include facing Reigns on his own and then teaming with him, with only a phone call from Triple H needed to make it happen. Dupree, 38 years old, regularly wrestles for Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan and last wrestled for WWE in 2007. Tick tock. Perhaps the biggest story in professional wrestling this past week has been the return of Karrion Kross to WWE. He attacked Drew McIntyre in the closing moments of last week’s episode of SmackDown. According to a report from PWInsider, WWE is planning to push Kross to be the No. 2 heel on the blue brand, behind Roman Reigns. In addition, Scarlett will continue to manage him and isn’t currently planning to be wrestling regularly, but that could be a possibility in the future. The report also states that after the pair were released last year, there was still regular communication between them and the company. It takes something special to make it work that well but some wrestlers manage to make it work. There are different ways to pull this off and you know one of these major stars when you see one. WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley has announced that he has signed a new legends deal with WWE, meaning that his Pro Wrestling Tees store will be closing as of July 31. Reigns is rapidly closing in on two years as Universal Champion, which will put him on a very short list of all time title runs. WWE has found a new way to extend that time and now you are seeing it again. According to both Sports Illustrated and F4WOnline.com, Reigns is no longer scheduled to wrestle at Money In The Bank on July 2. While a Reigns match had not been announced, Riddle had said that he was coming after Reigns, starting this week on SmackDown. It is not clear when Reigns will wrestle again. Shake it up. WWE is in a strange period at the moment as they company has put almost everything they have behind one wrestler. That would be Roman Reigns, who is closing in on two years as WWE Universal Champion. That is the kind of thing you do not see happen very often and WWE is pushing the length of Reigns’ time as champion as a once in a generation deal. Now it seems that they have found a new way to extend it even further. As announced by Fightful on twitter, Reigns is no longer advertised for Hell In A Cell on June 5. The show’s original poster featured Reigns, but he has now been replaced by Cody Rhodes.
