On The Injured List: AEW Star Out 5-6 Weeks With Foot Injury, Possibly Longer

It can happen to anyone. Injuries are one of the great equalizers in wrestling as any wrestler can get hurt and put on the shelf at any time. You never want to see someone get hurt and left out of the ring for any amount of time, as their time on the injured list could go on for awhile. Now another AEW star has revealed that he is hurt, but he has an idea of how long he will be out. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: One Step: Huge Update On Jeff Hardy’s DUI Charges, Case Closed AEW’s Fuego del Sol has announced that he suffered a foot injury during a match in Sacramento, California last Sunday. The injury took place when del Sol hit a dropkick but his opponent landed on him, resulting in a dislocated foot. The foot was popped back into place during the match, but damage was still done. Del Sol also suffered a small fracture near his toe. He is expected to miss five to six weeks of action, though any possible ligament damage could extend his time up to about three months. Unfortunately I suffer..

One Step: Huge Update On Jeff Hardy’s DUI Charges, Case Closed

That wraps it up. Wrestlers have a lot to deal with on a regular basis and that isn’t even taking into account things outside of the ring. In addition to wrestling, they often have to deal with the same kinds of problems that normal people have to face. Sometimes those things are especially serious, like a problem that an AEW star seems to have taken a step towards overcoming. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: He’s Back: AEW Star Returning To Action After 8+ Month Hiatus According to Fightful, Jeff Hardy’s DUI case has been closed as Hardy pled no contest to the June 2022 charges. Vince McMahon Agrees To Multi-Million Dollar Settlement, Ends 30+ Year Rape Allegation Ordeal

That’s a big one. Vince McMahon is back in charge of WWE and that has led to a string of questions about what is coming next. No one is quite sure about where things are going in the future, but there is also the question of a variety of issues from McMahon past. Now though, he has wrapped up at least one of them with the help of his rather large bank account. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: It Was A Great Ride: WWE Hall Of Famer Parts Ways With Company According to the Wall Street Journal, McMahon has agreed to a multi-million dollar settlement with former WWE referee Rita Chatterton, who has accused McMahon of raping her in a limousine in 1986. McMahon’s lawyer, Jerry McDevitt, said that still denies the charges and settled with Chatterton to avoid the cost of a trial. There is no word on the exact amount paid, but it is said to be a lump sum followed by annual payments. This is the latest in a string of such payments to women who have accused McMahon of sexual misconduct. Payoffs have a h..

WATCH: Velveteen Dream Arrest Video Released

A serious situation. Wrestlers portray either heroes or villains in the ring, but that does not mean that they are the same way when the cameras stop rolling. You never know what you might be seeing behind the scenes, but every now and then, a glimpse comes through. Now we can see something else from a former wrestler in a serious situation and it is not the nicest thing. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Upgrade: Road Dogg Explains Changes Coming To NXT Call-Up System Back in August, former NXT star Velveteen Dream was arrested in Orlando, Florida on charges of first degree battery and trespassing. Safe At Home: Hacksaw Jim Duggan Explains How He Stopped An Intruder At Gunpoint

Another kind of match. There are a lot of ways to describe a wrestler but one that would come up as often as any other might be tough. Wrestlers are athletes who have to make you believe they are in a real fight, which can be rather tricky at times. On occasion, they have to do something very legitimate, and that was the case in a much more serious situation for a wrestling legend. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Back Soon: AEW Star Reveals Recent Surgery During a new interview with Wrestlinginc.com, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Duggan revealed that a man broke into his home on December 8 at around 6:45pm, armed with a gun. Duggan took the man down and took the gun from him, holding him at gunpoint until the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Department arrived to arrest the man. Duggan said that the intruder was frightened as people from a nearby home were attempting to kill him and entered the home after pounding on several other nearby doors. Following the arrest, Duggan declined to press charges against t..

Impact Wrestling Results – December 8, 2022

Impact Wrestling Date: December 8, 2022 Location: Old Paristown Hall, Louisville, Kentucky Commentators: Tom Hannifan, Matthew Rehwoldt The slow build towards Hard To Kill continues as we still have over a month to go before the show. That means a lot more Bully Ray, who dominated the first fourth of last week’s show and will probably be around again this week. Other than that, it might be nice to hear some more from the World Champion Josh Alexander, so let’s get to it. We look at Deaner killing Eric Young off last week. Deaner talks about how Violent By Design is a movement, not a group of people. Now it is time to take out Sami Callihan. Opening sequence. Tag Team Titles: Motor City Machine Guns vs. Heath/Rhino Heath/Rhino are defending. Rhino powers Sabin around to start but Sabin is up with a middle rope spinning crossbody for two. Heath comes in and gets his arm worked over but manages to send Shelley into the corner. Shelley charges into a raised boot in the corner, only to..

Former WWE Developmental Star Charged With Assault That Led To Woman’s Death

That’s a lot more serious. Wrestlers are larger than life characters but they are very real life people when the camera is turned off. You are going to hear about wrestlers doing run of the mill things, which is not exactly something that draws the most interest. Every now and then though, you hear about something that is a lot more serious, which is the case in another situation. According to the Detroit News, former WWE developmental wrestler Kyle Garrett Rasmussen (known as Conrad Tanner in FCW) was arrested on charges of attempting to strangle a man last month. Rasmussen allegedly attempted to choke the driver of a moving car but the driver was able to stop the car and escape. Rasmussen’s girlfriend fled as well but was struck by another car and killed. As a result, Rasmussen is facing a charge of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. Rasmussen wrestled for WWE from 2009-2010, when he was released. Opinion: That’s about as serious as it gets and that’s nev..

Former WWE Star Gets Very Good Legal News

That’s a good step forward. Wrestlers are larger than life characters who are regularly on television doing things that no one else would ever do in regular life. That can make for some rather interesting moments, though that is not the end of what happens to them. There are several things that take place after the cameras stop rolling and now a former wrestler is getting some good news in his personal life. Last month, Patrick Clark, better known as Velveteen Dream, was arrested twice in the span of a week on various charges. However, according to PWInsider.com, the August 20 charges of First Degree Battery and Trespassing have been closed, as a hearing scheduled for September 28 has been canceled. Court records cited a lack of evidence in dropping the charges. Clark was recently released from a 25 day jail sentence for a probation violation stemming from the August 20 charges. Opinion: That is some good news for Clark, but he still has more than enough legal issues to worry about. ..

Cain Velasquez Pleads Not Guilty to Attempted Murder Charge

It had been previously reported that former UFC heavyweight champion and WWE superstar Cain Velasquez had been arrested on charges of attempted murder. He pleaded not guilty to these charges in Santa Clara (California) County earlier today. From ESPN: Velasquez, 40, is being charged with attempted murder and 10 other gun-related charges stemming from an incident where he allegedly chased down a man, Harry Goularte — who is being charged with molesting a young relative of Velasquez — and shooting a gun into Goularte’s vehicle, hitting Goularte’s stepfather, Paul Bender. Velasquez has been in jail since Feb. 28 and has been denied bail on three separate occasions. A pre-trial hearing in the case is scheduled for Sept. 26, where Geragos is expecting to be able to get witnesses to testify, the attorney said. If the case is not dismissed at that point, he said, it would then go to trial, which could begin before the end of the year. Geragos said the prosecution will not be calling Goula..

Rampage Date: July 22, 2022 Location: Gas South Arena, Duluth, Georgia Commentators: Excalibur, Taz, Jim Ross We’re finally finishing up the two week long Fyter Fest and hopefully there is a bit less shark enthusiasm this time around. A suplex gets Silver out of trouble and it’s back to Page to clean house. The fall away slam sends Blade flying and a slingshot dive takes Butcher out. NXT UK Results – July 7, 2022

NXT UK Date: July 7, 2022 Location: BT Sports Studios, London, England Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Andy Shepherd Things need to pick up a bit around here and unfortunately that has been the case for a little while now. Between the influx of NXT stars and nothing major happening for a few weeks now, it hasn’t been the most exciting place. Maybe that can be changed this week as Kenny Williams faces Tiger Turan. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Kenny Williams vs. Tiger Turan Williams charges at him before the bell but settles for a lockup once we get going. That earns him an armbar from Turan without much effort, followed by a running shoulder for the knockdown. Turan goes back to the arm before dropkicking a frustrated Williams out to the floor. Back in and Turan does a headstand in the corner to avoid another charge before kicking Williams down again. Williams finally gets smart by taking out the leg and a boot scrape across the eyes makes it worse. The neck crank doesn’t do m..

Dynamite Date: June 15, 2022 Location: Chaifetz Arena, St. Louis, Missouri Commentators: Excalibur, Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone The road to Forbidden Door continues and as has been the case with AEW in recent weeks, things have gotten a little bit screwy. This time around it is Jeff Hardy getting arrested for driving under the influence, meaning that he will not be around for this week’s Tag Team Title match. Hopefully this doesn’t throw the show into chaos so let’s get to it. Chris Jericho vs. Ortiz Hair vs. hair, the Jericho Appreciation Society and Eddie Kingston are here, and William Regal is on commentary. Ortiz charges in and knocks Jericho to the floor for some biting of the face. Jericho takes over outside and hammers away inside, only to have Ortiz get in some shots of his own. Jericho rol..

WATCH: Police Officers Draw Weapons On Jeff Hardy During Arrest

That’s a rough one to watch. While he is certainly a very talented wrestler, Jeff Hardy also has some issues outside the ring. Unfortunately some of these are legal issues which have caused him several problems over the years. The problems have flared up again this week, and now we can see just how bad things got, even in a situation that was already bad in the first place. Earlier this week, Hardy was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and other issues. Since then, TMZ have released the dashboard video from the police car, showing three police officers pulling their guns on Hardy for not obeying their orders to exit his car. The officers then remove Hardy from the car and have him sit down, where they interview him about his driving. Hardy said that he was on his way to the doctor for a “brain scan”, which he could not explain. The video ends with Hardy undergoing field sobriety tests and being handcuffed. Hardy has since been suspended from AEW as a result of the arr..

Jeff Hardy Arrested, Facing Charges Of Driving Under The Influence And More

That’s always sad to see. There are a lot of people in the wrestling business and some of them have some issues that take place outside of the ring. Unfortunately some of these are rather serious, including problems that can put the wrestlers and others in danger. That seems to be the case again, as a wrestler with a long history of issues has had another serious problem. As announced by the Volusia County, Florida police department, AEW’s Jeff Hardy has been arrested and faces a number of charges. This includes driving on a suspended license, violating restrictions placed on a driver’s license and driving under the influence, with the latter being the third such charge that Hardy has faced in three years. AEW Star Reportedly Arrested Over Domestic Violence Charges

That’s a serious one. There are all kinds of wrestlers in the world and some of them are among the most larger than life characters that you will find in any form of entertainment. Watching them on television can be a lot of fun and you do not know what you might get to see from one week to the next. However, these wrestlers have lives once the cameras turn off as well and now one of them is having a serious issue. According to PWInsider.com, AEW’s Jake Atlas has been arrested and reportedly charged with domestic assault. Atlas had called his partner to pick him up at a bar before suggesting that the two go to a third person’s home. This resulted in an argument when Atlas’ partner paid more attention to the third person involved than Atlas. Eventually Atlas was taken back to the apartment he shares with his partner, who attempted to leave. Atlas reportedly attacked him and scratched his partner’s arm and tore his shirt. Atlas is scheduled to be arraigned on misdemeanor battery charges..

DiBiase Family Facing Civil Lawsuit Over Huge Embezzlement Scheme

I guess that’s the price. Wrestlers are larger than life characters who get to appear on television and try to convince fans that everything they are seeing is real. That can often cause the lines between reality and fantasy to blur, but these same wrestlers have problems that they have to deal with just like regular people. That is the case again, as a wrestling family is having to face some legal issues. Back in 2020, Brett DiBiase, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase, pleaded guilty to taking part in the largest embezzlement scheme in the history of Mississippi. Ted’s Heart of David Ministries is alleged to have received $2.1 million from the state as part of the scheme, though Ted did not face any criminal charges. According to 411mania.com, the state of Mississippi has filed a civil lawsuit against 38 people, including the DiBiase family, alleged to have been part of the scheme or received some of the funds. The DiBiase family has not commented on the lawsuit. You can see th..

WWE Hall Of Famer Arrested, Facing 30 Years In Prison

That is not a good way to go. There are a lot of names that have come up throughout the history of wrestling and some of them are rather famous. Unfortunately, some of them are more infamous than famous, often for things that are not exactly positive. That is the case with a certain WWE Hall of Famer and now things have gotten a lot worse than they were just a few months ago. Back in March, WWE Hall of Famer Tammy Sytch was involved in a car accident that killed a man in Ormond Beach, Florida. According to PWInsider.com, Sytch has been arrested and is facing nine charges, including DUI Manslaughter, driving with a suspended or revoked license and seven counts of DUI causing damage to a person or property. Rampage Date: April 22, 2022 Location: Petersen Events Center, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Commentators: Ricky Starks, Taz, Excalibur We’re back on Friday this week as AEW has been trying to ramp this show up a bit more in recent weeks. That means more star power, and this week it means a title match as Jade Cargill is defending the TBS Title against Marina Shafir. We also have a pretty big showdown between Adam Cole and Tomohiro Ishii. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Owen Hart Foundation Qualifying Match: Adam Cole vs. Tomohiro Ishii We go right to the ring (with Rocky Romero and Orange Cassidy at ringside) with Cole striking away but getting dropped with a chop.
