He thinks this man would burn it down. WWE superstar Seth Rollins was recently interviewed by Wrestling Inc’s Nick Hausman before the 2023 Royal Rumble premium live event. They discussed a number of topics, including the rumors that CM Punk may be coming back to WWE. When asked if Rollins would want Punk back in the locker room, The Visionairy had this to say: “Oh Philly Phil, stay away. Stay away, you cancer. Get away from me forever. I don’t like Phil, he’s a jerk. Did we just figure that out, did we just figure that out? He’s a jerk…we figured it out over there, we knew it over here. I don’t want him back. Go do something else. Bye bye, see ya later.” CLIP: Seth Rollins calls CM Punk a "cancer" and tells him to stay away from WWE. @WWERollins @Nick_Hausman @WWEGames #WWE2K23 #RoyalRumble pic.twitter.com/m9QC71bunL — WrestlingINC.com (@WrestlingInc) January 28, 2023 You can see the full interview below: [This post contains video, click to play] Editor’s Opinion: So basically..
That’s terrible. Wrestlers have all kinds problems to deal with on a day to day basis and you never know how things are going to go with their careers. At the same time, there are other issues that can come up outside of the ring which can be far more devastating. Now a young star has revealed a horrible situation, but things might already be taking a step in the right direction. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: In Name Only: Vince McMahon Mentioned On WWE TV Again During an interview with Sports Illustrated, major League Wrestling’s Richard Holliday revealed that he is undergoing treatment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Holliday, 30 years old, said that he began experiencing various health issues over the summer and was diagnosed in September. He promised to fight the disease and to return to the ring when he is able. Holliday last wrestled on June 23 and is a former MLW Tag Team Champion. Holliday has all of the tools. I’d call that good news. There are all kinds of injuries that can take place in any given wrestling show and nothing good ever comes from them. You never want to see someone get injured in any way but unfortunately there is no way to guarantee a wrestler’s health. In addition, there are other health issues that can cause a lot of problems. This time though, there is some great news about a bad health situation. During the latest edition of his Grilling JR podcast, AEW broadcaster Jim Ross has announced that he is still cancer free. Ross still has to undergo treatments to heal some burns related to his original cancer treatments. Ross was diagnosed with skin cancer just over a year ago before revealing that he was officially cancer free in December of last year. He missed a few weeks of AEW broadcasting duties due to treatments. Opinion: That is a great thing to hear as Ross not only got better but now he has been able to maintain that health. Ross is probably the most famous broadcas..
That is some great news. There have been some famous names throughout wrestling history and some of them are among the most likable athletes that you will ever see. That makes it all the sadder when something bad happens to them, but sometimes that kind of story can have a happy ending. Thankfully that seems to be the case again with one of the most memorable stars of the last few decades. WWE Hall Of Famer Hacksaw Jim Duggan has shared a video showing him ringing a bell at a hospital, meaning that he has completed cancer treatment and is now cancer free. Duggan had announced in May that his cancer had returned after having previously beaten it in the 1990s. There is no word on when Duggan will be able to return to his public appearances. He last wrestled in May 2019. This is awesome. Check out Duggan ringing the special bell: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: You don’t get to see something like this very often and it is still one of the most special moments that y..
A bittersweet moment. Wrestlers do a lot of things in front of the cameras and most of the time, it can be pretty entertaining. That leaves fans with quite a few things to see, often as part of a live crowd. You get to see all kinds of things when you go to a live television taping, some of which is done after the television cameras are turned off. That was the case again this week in a rather emotional moment. The main event of this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite saw Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland win the Tag Team Titles from the Young Bucks in a three way match, also involving Team Taz. Following the win, Lee addressed the crowd, talking about how there are very few people he is close to in life. This includes a man named Lascelles King, who was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer earlier this week. Lee promised that he was returning home to Texas to visit King and that he wanted King to fight harder than theye did tonight. This was a very emotional moment. Check out Lee’s stat..
That’s the spirit. Wrestlers are larger than life characters that we watch every single week on TV. That can give us some different impressions of them, but ultimately they are regular people when the cameras go off. Unfortunately that includes serious problems that a lot of us go through, and now a wrestling legend is taking a different look at some of the issues that he is dealing with at the moment. WWE Hall of Famer Jim Duggan has posted a video to Twitter, talking about his recent health issues. Duggan is currently undergoing radiation to deal with prostate cancer but said that he is no longer going to feel sorry for himself. He talked about how glad he is to only have six weeks left of radiation treatment and how many people have it worse than he does. Duggan has had his prostate removed as well as beating kidney cancer in the 1990s. This is a pretty awesome statement. Check out Duggan’s inspiration message: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: That’s the kind o..
It’s a group project. Wrestling and acting have a weird relationship, as wrestlers are acting but when it comes to acting, they are only seen as wrestlers. You will occasionally see a wrestler who has success in the acting world but they are often few and far between. Every wrestler turned actor has to start somewhere though and now we might be seeing that be the case again. Film director Michael Matteo Rossi has announced that Impact Wrestling’s Tenille Dashwood has been cast in his upcoming film The Charisma Killers. Dashwood is at least the third wrestler who will appear in the film, along with Jessie McKay and Brian Pillman Jr, whose participation was announced earlier this month. There is no word on if any other wrestlers will be cast or when/where the film will be released. Here is how the film is described: When the old mentor of 7 killers finds out he has terminal cancer, he gives them all an opportunity at his fortune to prove themselves for one night only to exact revenge...
That’s a special thing to do. There are a lot of legends of wrestling still around today and several of them have some rather famous careers. Unfortunately that does not mean everything is going to work out after their career is over, as some of them have some serious issues. That can include medical troubles, but now one of them is getting some help from a pretty well known source. Earlier this week, WWE legend Virgil revealed that he has been diagnosed with stage two colon cancer. Virgil also mentioned that he does not have the money to afford the medical treatment and set up a PayPal account to help him with the expenses. AEW’s Chris Jericho has donated $1,500 towards the $20,000 goal, by far the highest amount so far. If you would like to donate, you can do so by clicking here. Opinion: Jericho might not be everyone’s cup of tea and there is nothing wrong with that, but the man is willing to put his money down to help out a cause like this. You hear about Jericho doing this on a ..
That’s even worse. Wrestlers are larger than life characters who can inspire fans to do a lot of things, many of which are fairly over the top. They do not do things that make a lot of sense but can often pull you into their own world. At the same time though, they have real world problems that can be very serious, especially when it comes to health issues. That is the case again with a former wrestling star. Virgil has announced that he has been diagnosed with Stage 2 colon cancer, but he cannot afford any of the medical treatment necessary. He has set up a PayPal account asking for help with his expenses, which you can donate to right here. This comes about a month after Virgil announced that he is battling dementia as well as recovering from a series of strokes. It’s really shitty right now. Too make things worse I know have stage 2 colon cancer. I am a fighter but need your help. I cannot afford any of the medical bills and would love your support. https://t.co/PG7VkpQWxP love yo..
Some people have to go. There are so many people on the WWE roster that the company has split them up into a few different rosters. That can make things a bit more interesting as WWE keeps Monday Night Raw and SmackDown fairly even, with NXT as a somewhat distant third. Then there is a fourth roster with NXT UK, which does not get quite the same level of attention. NXT UK has some talented wrestlers, but now one of them is on her way out. NXT UK’s Candy Floss has announced that she is leaving the company. Floss spoke about her departure due to her contract expiring on Twitter, where she talked about how her mother passed away from breast cancer in May 2019 before signing with WWE in January 2020. Her mother’s death caused her to develop PTSD, which caused her to take time away from the ring to deal with her mental health. Floss said WWE could not have been more supportive and said she would be continuing her wrestling career. She has not wrestled since October 2019 and only wrestled f..
Dynamite Date: December 29, 2021 Location: Daily’s Place, Jacksonville, Florida Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone We’ll wrap up another year of Dynamite with this one, in the place that hosted the show for what felt like the better part of ever. Cody Rhodes it the new TNT Champion, which hopefully is not just for the Go Big Show or Rhodes To The Top. Other than that, we also have the welcome return of Jim Ross, who has announced that he is cancer free. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Jim Ross gets a big entrance for his return, which is a great thing to see. Jurassic Express/Christian Cage/Lucha Bros vs. FTR/Matt Hardy/Private Party Wheeler takes Christian into the corner for a clean break so we hit the double bicep pose. Christian works on the arm for a bit so it’s off to Harwood to trade chops with Jungle Boy in the corner. Harwood gets caught in the wrong corner and it’s Christian coming in for a kick to the face. The jump over the top into the uppercut has Ha..
That’s some great news. There are a lot of people involved in the wrestling industry who never get in the ring. Just because they are not active wrestlers though, they still play a vital role in the product. That is the case with broadcasters, and now one of the most prominent of all time has announced some great news to the world regarding his recent health issues. AEW’s Jim Ross has announced that he is cancer free following a series of radiation treatments. Ross has been missing from AEW television since the middle of December due to twenty daily treatments, which have proven to be successful. Ross also announced that he will be returning to Dynamite this week. Taz had been filling in for Ross and mentioned that Ross would be returning during last week’s Dynamite. I’m CANCER FREE! We did it! See you tonight on #AEWDYNAMITE at 8 ET! ??? pic.twitter.com/4X9tmFtWTQ — Jim Ross (@JRsBBQ) December 29, 2021 This should be big. Check out what Ross has done in AEW so far: [This po..
Welcome back. Sometimes, for one reason or another, someone has to take some time away from wrestling. Some of these reasons are a lot more serious than others, but the worst reasons often involve health issues which need to be tended to in a big way. That can be the case with people who do not actually compete in the ring and this time around, one such person is getting to come back. This week on AEW Dynamite, Excalibur announced that Jim Ross will be returning to the broadcast team next week. Ross’ return comes after he has missed the better part of a month due to radiation treatment for his skin cancer. There is no word on how well the treatment went or if Ross will be missing any more time. Taz has been filling in for Ross during his absence. Ross is a big deal in AEW. That’s what a tough guy would do. Wrestlers are superheroes in a lot of ways, in that they are out there in front people doing ridiculous and often amazing things every single week. It can be easy to get behind one of the wrestlers and cheer them to no end, but there are always going to be things that happen to them behind the scenes. That was the case with one wrestling legend, but now there is a great update. Hacksaw Jim Duggan has released a new update on Twitter, announcing that he is officially cancer free. Earlier this year, Duggan revealed that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer and had undergone surgery. The cancer was contained in the prostate and completely removed, and everything else was clear. This was Duggan’s second round of cancer, after he previously beat kidney cancer in the late 1990s. This is great to hear. Check out the announcement, plus some of Duggan’s career: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This..
That’s a unique honor. Wrestlers have a weird celebrity status as they are indeed television stars, but there is a pretty firm limit to what that can mean. Ultimately, they are only wrestlers and it is very rare to see them move higher up in the celebrity world. It does happen every now and then, and this time one of them is getting quite the honor for the second time. The Calgary Hitmen hockey team has announced the second annual Bret “Hitman” Hart game, which will take place in partnership with the Prostate Cancer Centre of Calgary on March 5, 2022. There will also be a Prairie Wrestling Alliance wrestling event after the game. The game will see the Hitmen wear special Hart themed jerseys, which will then be auctioned off, with proceeds going to the Prostate Cancer Centre. Hart has done some great things in the ring. It’s a fair reason. Commentary is one of the most important things about any given wrestling show as they tell the fans what they are supposed to see. They are basically the tour guides of a wrestling show and it can be very important to hear what they have to say. Now though, we might not be hearing from the most famous commentator in wrestling history for a bit. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, AEW’s Jim Ross will begin twenty two straight days of radiation therapy on Monday to treat his skin cancer. As a result, Ross could be missing a few weeks of AEW television, which would include three episodes of AEW Dynamite. Ross has not announced that he will be missing any shows. There is no word on who would replace Ross if he is unable to work the shows. Ross has been a big deal in AEW. Hopefully it gets better. Wrestlers are very different than a lot of people, but they do share a lot of the same experiences. Some of these can be very great moments, but others are not so fortunate. This can include health issues, as sometimes a wrestler, or a wrestling personality, has to deal with something serious. That was the case again this week, but you might not notice on TV. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Jim Ross underwent successful back surgery this week. It is not known what the surgery was exactly for, but Ross had mentioned that some skin cancer had been found on his back. Ross is not expected to miss any time from AEW, and is planning to be in Chicago for this week’s edition of Dynamite. He is also scheduled to begin undergoing radiation treatment for his skin cancer starting next week. Ross has meant a lot in AEW. Hopefully the surgery makes things better. Wrestlers are larger than life characters who we watch on TV every week, but there are things that take place when the cameras go off. Unfortunately some of these things are a lot more serious than others, including a wrestler’s health. That is the case again with a wrestling legend, who is undergoing a procedure while already in pretty serious shape. Bobby Fulton, most well known as part of the Fantastics tag team, has announced that he underwent throat surgery on Monday. There is no word on what Fulton’s surgery is for, though he was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2019. Fulton retired from wrestling in 2020, following a forty three year career in wrestling. He last wrestled on December 14, 2019 in an eight man tag at Bobby Eaton: A Night Of Appreciation. Having surgery today on my throat! Please pray for wisdom for the surgeons and that all goes well! Thank you! pic.twitter.com/lPSIeufPMe — Bobby Fulton (@TheBobbyFulton) November 15, 202..
That’s never good to hear. There is a lot of wrestling on television today and there are a lot of people involved in every show. Some of them might not get the same amount of recognition though, as there are all kinds of people who are part of the show without actually wrestling. You can see and hear from these people every single week, but that might not be the case for one of them for the time being. During the latest edition of his Grilling JR podcast, AEW’s Jim Ross announced that he will be undergoing radiation therapy to deal with the skin cancer on his foot. Ross said that he will know more after November 22, but there is a chance that he may have to step away from broadcasting duties with AEW. He also mentioned that he would like to be good to go by January for Dynamite’s move to TBS, but there is no word on how much, if any at all, time Ross might miss. Ross has been a huge deal in AEW.
