They probably should have looked into that. The right name is an important aspect of any wrestler, as you never want someone to be given a name that is going to make them feel like a joke. AEW’s contract with WBD also possibly gave WBD to ban anyone from an AEW event, which prevented the Briscoes from appearing on AEW pay per views despite Tony Kha..

Impact Wrestling Date: December 15, 2022 Location: Charles F. We have the Major Brothers coming after the Tag Team Titles, Jordynne Grace vs. Mickie James set for a title vs. career match and Josh Alexander defending against Bully Ray. That’s a lot to build towards so let’s get to it. Opening recap. Eddie Edwards vs. Delirious This was going to be last week’s main event but then Josh Alexander vs. Mike Bailey almost hit an hour so it was punted to this week. They go technical to start and that’s good for a standoff. Edwards can’t grab an O’Connor roll but he can chop Delirious down, only to have Delirious come back up with a leg lariat. An overhead belly to belly cuts that off in a hurry though and Eddie can fire off more chops. Delirious starts running the ropes in that bizarre manner of his so Edwa..

Viper Memories: Randy Orton Posts Tribute To Umaga And Rosey

That’s a special tribute. There have been a lot of wrestlers to come and go throughout the years and unfortunately some of them are no longer here. AEW’s Television Future Could Be Very Promising

That’s a good sign. AEW has come a very long way in a rather short amount of time. The company has only been around for about three and a half years but it is already the second biggest wrestling promotion in the United States. That is in part due to its very strong television presence, and now the agreement that keeps them on the air may be getting even bigger. According to Fightful Select, a source at Warner Brothers Discovery would be “shocked” if AEW does not get a new television deal with the company, but also with a big increase in the rights fee. Warner Brothers Discovery has worked closely with AEW and 2022 was seen as a rebound year for wrestling interest, which has sparked a good relationship. AEW’s current deal expires at the end of 2023. Opinion: That is great to hear, as AEW getting more money and having more ability to move around and try new things is one of the best things that could happen to them. The company needs more money to help fund various things and a rights..

Other than that we’re going to have a new Universal Champion today as Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar face off for the title vacated by Roman Reigns. Let’s get to it. The video screen is in the shape of a crown for a nice touch. Kickoff Show: United States Title: Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Rusev Nakamura is defending.
