Impact Wrestling Date: January 12, 2023 Location: Charles F. Dodge City Center, Pembroke Pines, Florida Commentators: Matthew Rehwoldt, Tom Hannifan It’s the go home show for Hard To Kill and since Impact does their pay per views on Fridays, the show is tomorrow night. That should mean the card is intact but you never know around here. Hopefully the roll can continue around here, as it has been a rather nice few weeks in a row. Let’s get to it. The opening recap looks at Bully Ray’s rise to the top of the company, including him attacking Scott D’Amore last week. We get a Zoom interview with Josh Matthews talking to Bully Ray and Josh Alexander, both at their homes. Alexander knows Ray is going after everyone he cares about and they will be in his mind at Hard To Kill. Ray thinks Alexander has given away his hand because Ray is in his head. Last week Ray didn’t need to have an Anthem executive take a swing at him. Ray talks about how he has gotten Alexander to do whatever he wants, ..
Tribute to the Troops 2021 Date: November 14, 2021 Location: Toyota Arena, Ontario, California Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee It’s time for the big patriotic show, which is actually taking place closer to Thanksgiving this time around instead of the usual Christmas season. This one is airing on FOX to make it feel even bigger, though it is just a one hour edition which was taped last month at Smackdown. In other words, they don’t seem to be putting in as much effort this year. Let’s get to it. Lilian Garcia sings the National Anthem. Video on the troops and what this show means to WWE. Big E. vs. Dolph Ziggler Non-title and commentary does give a brief recap of their history. Robert Roode is here with Ziggler and dig those red, white and blue ropes. Big E. powers out of a waistlock to start and sends Ziggler flying, setting up some gyrations. A kick to the ribs slows Big E. down and Ziggler gyrates a bit as well. That just earns him the abdominal stretch with rhythmic shots..
Impact Wrestling Date: June 24, 2021 Location: Skyway Studios, Nashville, Tennessee Commentators: Josh Matthews, D’Lo brown We are on the way to Slammiversary and the show is starting to take shape. This week is likely going to deal with the fallout of Tommy Dreamer (yep) being announced as the new Anthem representative, because not only do we need two bosses, but one needs to be Tommy Dreamer. Last week Dreamer fired Don Callis, right before Kenny Omega gets to defend against Sami Callihan. Let’s get to it. The opening recap looks at the end of last week’s show with Dreamer announcing Callis’ firing. Don Callis and Kenny Omega arrive but Callis is not on the talent list. Callis lists off his recent accomplishments and he insists that he is here with Omega. Rosemary vs. Kiera Hogan Tasha Steelz is here with Hogan. We hit the stall button to start with Hogan bailing to the floor. Commentary talks about the MICKIE trash bag from last week as Rosemary plants Hogan with a side suplex f..
Impact Wrestling Date: June 17, 2021 Location: Skyway Studios, Nashville, Tennessee Commentators: Josh Matthews, D’Lo Brown We are done with Against All Odds and the big story is Kenny Omega retaining the World Title over Moose, with Sami Callihan appearing after the match. Don Callis fired Callihan, which seems like it could be quite the story on the road to Slammiversary. There is about a month to go before the show and that means there is time to set things up. Let’s get to it. The opening recap looks at Don Callis and Kenny Omega taking over the company and people getting worried about it. Omega retained the title over Moose at Against All Odds but almost got taken out by Sami Callihan. Callis interrupted it and fired Callihan, sending things even further into chaos. Moose comes up to Scott D’Amore and says he got screwed out of the title at Against All Odds and wants a rematch. D’Amore is too worried about an Anthem representation showing up here to deal with things, because th..
Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net, starting today. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? WrestleCade 2018 Supershow Date: November 24, 2018 Location: Benton Convention Center, Winston-Salem, North Carolina Commentators: Blake Chadrick, Cyrus Fees So this is kind of like WrestleCon Thanksgiving with a big wrestling convention and a few shows, including this supershow. I’ve wanted to go down to this for a few years but I might as well take a look at the major show. This could be anywhere from great to horrible and it’s hard to guess one way or another. Let’s get to it. National Anthem. ..

The following are backstage notes from tonight’s GFW Impact tapings in Orlando, FL. courtesy of PWInsider:
There has been some pressure from America’s Top Team about Bobby Lashley concentrating full-time on MMA pursuit and pulling back on pro wrestling commitments. The Hardy Boyz settlement has been a hot topic. While it was noted previously that they were close to an agreement with Anthem, that is not the case. It’s believed to be the complete opposite. There are plans for the “Swole Brothers” to get in the ring tonight at the taping. Naomichi Marufuji, Taiji Ishimora and Hijo del Fantasma are all scheduled for singles matches at tonight’s tapings. Former WWE talent may be brought in.
Check back here later tonight for complete spoiler results.

Well, this was bound to happen but it looks like three more individuals are done with Impact Wrestling.

Shane Helms indicated on Twitter that he’s done with the company and moving on in life. He indicated in one of his tweets that he wasn’t going to “kiss ass” to anthem. This would suggest that there may have been differences between the two.

Helms had been working in a backstage capacity since joining the company in 2015. He also had a role on TV as the manager/mouthpiece for Trevor Lee and Andrew Everett.

In addition to Helms leaving the company, PWInsider reports that long-time producers/agents Al Snow and Pat Kenney are on their way out the door.
Matt Hardy continues to take shots at his former bosses at Impact Wrestling.
