Los Ingobernables de Japon have a new champion among them.
On Sunday, New Japan Wrestling held the Hi No Kuni event in Kumamoto, Japan which featured some of the promotion's biggest names and two championship matches. Los Ingobernables de Japon members Evil and Sanada defended their IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship and then in the main event Tetsuya Naito defeated Minoru Suzuki to capture the IWGP Intercontinental Championship giving the stable three current champions among their ranks.
Los Ingobernables de Japon will soon be touring North America as part of the Ring of Honor War of the Worlds tour where the promotion will visit four cities in the United States and Canada.
This reign is the 2nd time Naito has captured the Intercontinental Championship. He lost the championship last June to Hiroshi Tanahashi after a 259 day reign.

In an interview with Sporting News, Matt Taven explained how the “Kingdom Conspiracy” is based in reality. The members of the Kingdom have been complaining about how they are treated by Ring of Honor and Taven said he has not been given the opportunities he has earned.
“I have a serious question of 'why?' I've been in Ring of Honor for five years. I've won every title that they have to offer besides one and I've only had two opportunities at that title. Both matches had interference in them but nothing was ever done about it. I was never given an honest chance, an honest shake with a rematch and even opportunity. I feel like I deserve it. The only thing I'm asking Ring of Honor is what I deserve,” said Taven.

To kick-start WrestleMania weekend for the WWE there was a Ladder match to open NXT TakeOver: New Orleans to crown the first-ever NXT North American Champion. At the end of the contest the sly Adam Cole pushed the ladder that Ricochet was standing atop on, crushing the dreams of the “The One And Only”. A second title fight has been added to the UFC 226, as first reported by MMA Junkie as UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway defends the gold against #1 Brian Ortega. The UFC confirmed the news Saturday night at UFC Atlantic City.
Holloway (19-3-0) is going to be making the second defense of his championship at the event, last defending it against Jose Aldo at UFC 218. Holloway became the undisputed featherweight champion when he defeated Aldo the first time by third round TKO at UFC 212. Holloway hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost five years, with that last loss coming against former two division champion Conor McGregor at UFC Fight Night 26.
Ortega (14-0-0-1NC) has already earned six victories under the UFC banner, last defeating former UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar by first round knockout at UFC 222.
