More WWE Stars To Perform For PROGRESS

As Top Rope Press reported earlier this week, WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne will defend the title against WWE cruiserweight Gentleman Jack Gallagher at a PROGRESS Wrestling show in New York City. Dunne and Gallagher are not the only WWE performers appearing on the Saturday, August 12th show. On Wednesday, it was announced Dakota Kai, a WWE Performance Center recruit and competitor in the Mae Young Classic women’s tournament, will compete in a tag team match with Dahlia Black against Jinny and Deonna Purazzo. Jinny has appeared during WWE’s WrestleMania Axxess, while Purazzo also appeared on WWE programming on a couple occasions.

Former WWE United Kingdom Champion Tyler Bate will team with his fellow British Strong Style mate Trent Seven, who has competed on WWE UK specials, NXT, and live events, against South Pacific Power Trip. Bate and Seven’s PROGRESS Tag Team Championships will be on the line. Mark Andrews, another talent who has appeared on NXT and the WWE UK specials, will compete in a triple threat match against Mark Haskins and Zack Gibson.

The PROGRESS NYC card is not final and there may be more WWE performers appearing on the show.

Curt Hawkins’ Milestone Loss

WWE superstar Curt Hawkins has lost 100 consecutive matches. His last victory was on SmackDown Live on November 8, 2016. In a statement to WWE.com, Hawkins said:

“One hundred matches, 100 stars made in my ‘Star FACTory. I win every night, whether the stats say it or not. I make stars, It’s what I do.”

Hawkins added he would like to compete against Brock Lesnar.

Congratulations to Curt Hawkins on his 100 match loosing streak
