Mahal vs Cena At SummerSlam; Okada vs Omega Airdate; Mark Andrews Injury Update
John Cena vs. Jinder Mahal At SummerSlam Report
Though unverified on this end, there are reports that Jinder Mahal vs. John Cena will be your WWE Title match at SummerSlam. Cena has been officially confirmed for the July 4th SmackDown Live and that is where an angle (to set the SummerSlam match up) would take place. As for Mahal’s opponent at WWE Battleground (July 23rd in Philadelphia), Randy Orton or AJ Styles appear to be the logical options.
At first, it was believed that Cena would be missing SummerSlam entirely. However, that was before the decision to go with Mahal as WWE Champion. The pairing seems to be a pretty logical call for what is WWE’s second biggest show of the year. On the RAW side, the WWE Universal Title Match is still expected to be Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman.
Okada-Omega II Set To Air June 30th
If you don’t have New Japan World and thus didn’t see the Kazuchika Okada vs. Kenny Omega match, it – along with the entire Dominion card – will be shown on AXS TV June 30th (day before the promotion’s United States debut). Jim Ross made that official this morning via his Twitter account.

Not only did the Okada-Omega match live up to the hype set forth by their first encounter this year at WrestleKingdom, it would rank among the greatest matches I’ve ever seen.
Andrews Injury Not As Severe As First Thought
In case you missed it, Mark Andrews sustained what appeared to be a pretty serious injury over the weekend while working in an eight-man tag at the UK Download Fest. He injured his neck after taking a stiff clothesline from one of the members of The Authors of Pain. Thankfully, things are not as bad as they first seemed. Andrews tweeted the following update out.
Everything's okay guys, thanks for all your concern and messages!
Huge thanks to the workers at Queens Medical Centre who treated me quickly— Mark Andrews (@MandrewsJunior) June 11, 2017
WWE.com offered a more detailed update, stating “A CT scan of Andrews came back negative, with just bruising evident. Mark would like to thank all his fans for their concern.”
Speaking of the UK Download Fest, new video has surface of Pete Dunne’s attack on Andrews that took place at the event.
