Planning In Advance. Venue Possibly Spoils Tables Ladders And Chairs Match

Dude spoilers. In wrestling, you can often guess what kind of match you’re going to be seeing in the coming weeks. It’s not like matches are that hard to figure out, especially with how long WWE likes to stretch feuds out these days. Just looking at Sunday’s pay per view card should be enough to tell you what coming in the next few weeks and we might have something confirmed by a venue.
According to the venue’s official site, the SAP Center in San Jose, California is advertising the Shield vs. Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre in a six man tag for the Tables, Ladders And Chairs event on December 16. There is no word on whether or not the match will be the show’s namesake match. The match is also listed as card subject to change, as there is always a chance that it could be switched up.
Opinion: This isn’t exactly the biggest surprise in the world as the story was all building towards a big six man tag. It’s not like they could just put it in the Cell tonight or somethin..

Hell In A Cell 2018 Preview, Thoughts And Predictions

Contrary to what you may have seen on Monday Night Raw this week, the next major show won’t be taking place in Australia and men will indeed be wrestling on the card. This Sunday will see Hell In A Cell, featuring two matches inside the Cell and a bunch of other stuff that won’t be heavily featured as there’s only so much that can take place when we have the other two shows to build towards. Let’s get to it.
Kickoff Show: Smackdown Tag Team Titles: New Day (c) vs. Rusev Day Rusev Day won a (yet another) tournament to earn the title shot in a bit of a surprise. The team was a hot act in the spring but since WWE has to WWE, we’re finally getting somewhere between the two of them in the middle of September. New Day has held the titles for about a month now and since the division basically consists of four teams, it’s not like they have a bunch of competition.
I’ll go with New Day to retain, likely as Rusev Day implodes for good because WWE doesn’t want them together for whatever reason…

That’s A Scary Situation. Dean Ambrose Goes Into Details About Staph Infection And Second Surgery.

That’s a relief. Dean Ambrose is one of the true workhorses for WWE. He regularly tops the list of most matches in any given year and is almost never out of the ring due to injuries. That wasn’t the case this year as he missed about eight months due to a triceps injury. As it turns out there was a little more to it than that as Ambrose’s condition was a lot worse than originally thought.
In a new interview with the Monitor, Ambrose revealed that he also suffered a severe staph infection that was far more serious than expected. It led to him needing another surgery and extreme treatment for the condition, which caused him to move to Birmingham, Alabama for a few months. Ambrose goes into full details of the story and here are some highlights:
On The Staph Infection “It was just one nightmare after another. It was a pretty challenging period of time to go through. I ended up having two different surgeries. I had this MRSA, Staph infection. I nearly died. I was in the hospital for a wee..

Video: Top Ten Hell In A Cell Invaders

That Cell is really bad at its job. The Hell in a Cell cage isn’t exactly the best method of keeping wrestlers inside and others outside. It seems that it’s rare to see a match where people don’t either get in or go out at will, which defeats the purpose of the Cell entirely. That’s such a reality that WWE is taking a look back at all the times the Cell hasn’t worked, and it turns out that there are quite a few.
That’s gotta be #1.

WWE has posted a list of the Top Ten Hell in a Cell Invaders, meaning people who have broken into the Hell in a Cell cage over the years. The list is pretty inclusive, with entries from the first Cell match all the way up through last year’s show. Some of these entries were complete surprises while others were people already involved with the match, standing outside.
Opinion: I mean, was there really any doubt? Numbers ten through two aren’t exactly memorable entries while the first was a game changer for the co..

Breaking: WWE Making Big Change To Its TV Schedule

In case Wednesday wasn’t busy enough already. Back in 2016, 205 Live debuted on the WWE Network to give the cruiserweight division its own show. While the show didn’t exactly light up the world to start, it has slowly settled down into its own niche and is now quite the entertaining hour of wrestling. However, things are about to change for one of the first times in the show’s history.
The boss speaks.

As announced on 205 Live’s Twitter, 205 Live will now be moving to Wednesday nights at 7pm instead of Tuesday at 10pm. The show has been aired live after SmackDown Live since its inception in the fall of 2016. It will now be part of a three hour block on the WWE Network, followed by NXT and then the Mae Young Classic. There is no word on when the show will be taped in relation to SmackDown Live.
Make sure to check out what’s going on around 205 Live with this week’s results.
Opinion: As packed as Wednesday is going to be from now on, I see v..

Video: Seven Remorseless Moments That Made Us Sick

There is evil in wrestling. Week in and week out, bad things happen in the wrestling world. It might be an attack, it might be something that is said or it might be something that’s a bit remorseless. Other times though, the villains can take things a bit further than that and do something that is downright cruel to someone else. Those can often set up some of the biggest things in wrestling and that’s what WWE is looking at today.
Some of these were pretty horrible.

WWE has released a new List This video, looking at Seven Remorseless Moments That Made Us Sick. The list includes a variety of things, including physical attacks, psychological attacks and even having a snake bite someone. The list spans over the course of several years, with one dating back over twenty five years to the early 1990s. As bad as some of these were, several of the people involved later reconciled with each other.
Opinion: I hadn’t thought about some of these in a..

Hell In A Cell Kickoff Show Match Announced

Switch em up. With Hell In A Cell coming up this Sunday night, the card is entirely set up by now. We know all eight matches announced so far (though there’s always the chance that more could be added), including a variety of title matches. Obviously these are more important than most, but WWE felt that one of them wasn’t quite important enough to make the regular show.
As announced on WWE.com, the SmackDown Tag Team Title match will now serve as the Kickoff Show match as the New Day will defend their titles against Rusev Day. Rusev Day earned their shot by defeating the Bar to win a short tournament for the #1 contendership. New Day has held the titles since last month, when they defeated the Bludgeon Brothers to win the titles on SmackDown Live.
A reminder of how we got here:

Opinion: Works for me and it’s not like this match is anything serious in the first place. Rusev Day has turned into a popular act but we’re about five months remov..

Rumor: The Rock’s Daughter Training To Become A Wrestler

Keeping it in the family. There are various wrestling families who are just bigger deals than others. There are the Harts, the Andersons, the Windhams and a variety of others, but one of the biggest and most active is the Anoa’i family. The family includes names such as the Wild Samoans, the Usos, Nia Jax and of course the Rock. They’ve been wrestlers for generations now, and there may be a new generation coming in.
According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, the Rock’s daughter Simone Johnson has been training at the WWE Performance Center in recent months for a potential in-ring career. Since Johnson is only seventeen years old, the training can only be on a part time basis until she turns eighteen next August. There is no word on whether or not WWE would be interested in signing her to a contract.
She does have a good teacher.

Opinion: I have no idea if Johnson will be a wrestler or not but when you have those genetics going for you, there’s cert..

Full Classic Match: End Of An Era: Triple H vs. Undertaker From WrestleMania 28

What a masterpiece. On October 6, Triple H will face the Undertaker for the last time ever at the Super Show-Down in Melbourne, Australia. This match is built entirely around the history between the two, which is mostly centered around their one match at WrestleMania 28. The match was an absolute masterpiece and still holds up to this day. It holds up well enough that it’s worth seeing again.
What a performance.

WWE has posted the full version of the Undertaker vs. Triple H Hell in a Cell match with Shawn Michaels as guest referee inside Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania 28. The match was billed as the End of an Era with the previous three WrestleManias being billed all setting up this one final match. The entrances and iconic post match scene between the three of them are included as well.
Opinion: The more I see this match, the more I absolutely love it. They played the emotions to perfection here with shows such as Undertaker stepping on ..

Who Will Challenge New Day For The SmackDown Tag Team Titles At Hell In A Cell?

Add another one to the list. We’re getting very close to Hell In A Cell and that means the card needs to be finalized in a hurry. The majority of it is already set but there are one or two things that still need to be locked up. One of those things is New Day needing challengers for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles, and with five days to go until the pay per view, they now have them.
On this week’s SmackDown Live, Rusev Day defeated the Bar to become the new #1 contenders for the SmackDown Live Tag Team Titles by winning a mini tournament. Their match will take place this Sunday at Hell In A Cell, which will be Rusev Day’s first shot at the titles since December when they challenged for the titles in a four way match at Clash Of Champions.
Here’s how they got it done.

Opinion: That’s an actual surprise as I would have bet on the Bar getting the shot, since that tends to be their custom. It’s very nice to have this thrown out there instead as ..

Monday Night Raw Results – September 10, 2018

Monday Night Raw
Date: September 10, 2018
Location: Smoothie King Center, New Orleans, Louisiana
Commentators: Renee Young, Michael Cole, Corey Graves
It’s the go home show for Hell in a Cell, though I’m not sure how much attention that is going to get since we’re about a month away from Super Show-Down and a month and a half away from Evolution. WWE doesn’t seem to mind about going that far into the future so Sunday might not get the most attention. Let’s get to it.
Here are Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman to open things up with the roster (the lower portions of it that is) around the ring. Dolph says we told you so because they beat the Shield down. We get a recap of Strowman vs. Reigns, which has morphed into the trio vs. the Shield. This led up to last week’s huge beatdown, with most of the roster getting together to wreck the Shield, with Seth Rollins nearly being thrown through a police van window.
Back in the arena, Strowman calls Ziggler and McIntyre his Dogs..

Raw Tag Team Title Match Set For Hell In A Cell

Well….of course? Last week on Monday Night Raw, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre defeated the B Team to become the new Raw Tag Team Champions. That puts them on top of a pretty weak tag division, but that’s been the case for a long time on Monday Night Raw. They need some strong challengers and with the next pay per view coming up on Sunday, the best option wasn’t exactly a surprise.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins were announced as the new #1 contenders to the Raw Tag Team Titles and will be receiving their title shot at Sunday’s Hell In A Cell pay per view. Rollins and Ambrose are no strangers to holding the Tag Team Titles, holding them for about two and a half months last fall. The match will be a standard tag match.
And here’s how it happened.
[This post contains video, click to play]

Opinion: Was there really a surprise here? There wasn’t exactly a big group of challengers to pick from so they went with the logical pick. It’s not a secret that the..
