That would have been different. There are several different ways to introduce a new wrestler and one of the most successful is to have them introduced as part of a wrestling family. It is an idea that has worked over the years and still does to this day. Now we are hearing a story about an idea that would have seen a wrestling family grow even larger than it already is.

Former WWE star Matt Morgan was a guest on Insight With Chris Van Vliet and revealed that he was going to be introduced as Kane’s brother Abel. During his time in OVW, then WWE’s developmental system, Morgan was told to wrestle in a mask to get him used to using one. There is no word on why WWE did not use Morgan in the role. Morgan also made it clear that this was not the same storyline as the Impostor Kane, which took place in 2006.

He’s worth the fight. While WWE and AEW are the two biggest wrestling promotions in the world, there are all kinds of talented stars outside of those two companies. It can mean a lot when one of those stars becomes available, if nothing else because the two promotions very well may in up in a bidding war. While not confirmed yet, there is a real chance that we will be seeing another one.

Over the weekend, Hikuleo defeated Jay White at New Japan: The New Beginning In Osaka in a Loser Leaves Japan match. This comes amid rumors of White’s New Japan contract expiring and interest from both WWE and AEW. It is not clear when White’s contract will expire, though he is still scheduled to face Eddie Kingston in San Jose, California for New Japan on February 18.

Pull the plug. There are all kinds of ways to present a storyline in wrestling and some of them are a lot more effective than others. You can tell when something is working, but it can take a little longer to figure out that something is missing. When these things finally hit rock bottom though, it is often time to get rid of them and that is what happened with a recent Monday Night Raw story.

Earlier this week on Monday Night Raw, John Bradshaw Layfield cut ties with Baron Corbin, ending their association. This led to reports that Layfield would not be back on WWE TV for the time being. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Triple H pulled the plug on the story as he didn’t feel it was working. The story started after Layfield wanted to help rebuild Corbin after his latest losing streak, starting last fall.

That’s a good out. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it is impossible to find something for all of them to do every week. WWE only has so much television time and at some point, someone has to be be left off of a show. In some situations, that is a plus for the wrestlers, and now we know a bit more about how two stars got a special addition to their contracts.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful appeared on the Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy podcast where he talked about a special clause in the Good Brothers’ contracts. According to the contracts, the team is not required to be at any event where they are not booked to wrestle or appear. There is no word on any other wrestlers having this kind of clause in their contracts. The Good Brothers have not wrestled a match on Monday Night Raw since January 9, though they have wrestled on live events since.

We are still in Texas with less than a month to go before Revolution. That should make for a few interesting weeks but this week’s lineup doesn’t exactly offer much in the way of hope. The Blackpool Combat Club is here though and that is one of the better things Rampage could do. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Blackpool Combat Club vs. Butcher and the Blade/Kip Sabian Sabian drives Yuta into the corner to start but a sunset flip gets Yuta out of trouble. Yuta is sent outside and Castagnoli comes in, with Butcher getting to come in as well for the power staredown. They yell at each other and slug it out, with both of them staggering. Moxley and then Yuta come in to take turns on Butcher as Jericho talks about the Impractical Jokers cast stealing his baseball bat.

This is only a rumor, so take it for what it’s worth. A former WWE champion, who has been injured for quite some time, may be returning to the ring before WrestleMania 39.
In a response to a fan on his Facebook Stories, wrestling bootmaker Jose G Sanz stated that Randy Orton recently contacted him about making boots for his return to the ring. He said the following:
“I haven’t made them yet but Randy Orton contacted me via email for his return. Currently, Drew McIntyre and Bray Wyatt are some of the biggest superstars. Today I received an order for boots for Cody for Wrestlemania.”
On Facebook Stories, wrestling bootmaker Jose G Sanz was asked which wrestler has had the biggest impact on him out of those who order from him.

Dominik Mysterio was recently interviewed by WrestleRant and Bleacher Report, where he discussed a number of topics. Among them was his relationship with Rhea Ripley, his time in prison, the future of The Judgement Day, and more.

“Maybe after she choked me unconscious, I thought, ‘You know what? I think things may be able to work here. I think she’s the one to help me out,'” he said about when their chemistry clicked for him. “I think our anniversary would be the first day she beat me up. But I don’t know. Let the games begin. Multiple news outlets are reporting that NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre has filed three separate defamation lawsuits against Mississippi state auditor Shad White as well as national sports commentators Shannon Sharpe and Pat McAfee.
From ESPN:
Favre became involved in [a] public fraud case in 2020 after investigators in White’s office discovered that at least $77 million in public money from Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funds, earmarked for the neediest families in the state, instead was used to line the pockets of rich and powerful Mississippians.
According to a state audit and civil lawsuit in which Favre and dozens of others are named as defendants, Favre was paid $1.1 million in TANF funds for speeches White has said Favre never made. Favre eventually paid the money back, but the state auditor demanded Favre also pay $228,000 in interest.

We are just over a week away from Elimination Chamber and the main portion of the card is set. That is going to include a pair of Elimination Chamber matches, plus Sami Zayn challenging Roman Reigns for the World Title. Odds are the latter will get some focus this week so let’s get to it.
We open with a recap of Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn brawling last week, with Sami getting beaten down but also getting the Elimination Chamber title match.

They worked well the first time. WWE has been around for a very long time and has a deep history. The company has done a lot of things over the years, with some of them being rather memorable. Those moments are often things that only happened once due to one reason or another, but now WWE might be bringing back some of the most memorable vignettes they have ever done.

That has potential. Every so often, a wrestler will change from good to bad or vice versa. These changes can alter the course of their future as sometimes going to the other side is the right change for them. These changes can be exactly what a wrestler needs at times and we might have seen a big one for an up and coming star after this week’s SmackDown went off the air.
