From what I can tell, this seems to be the final weekly show that will feature new material. This is the start of a new event but for some reason it looks like the last episode they were able to produce. Fair enough as you never know how screwy things could have gotten thanks to everything going nuts. Things have been a bit better under the Scurll regime so hopefully they can go into hiatus on a high note. Let’s get to it.

Dan Maff/Jeff Cobb vs. Briscoes Mark and Jeff lock up to start with Mark’s headlock trying to cut off the power. A dropkick sends Mark into the corner so it’s off to Maff. He’s worthy of some attention. The sports world is a bit of a strange place at the moment and that has caused some severe issues with the various sports programming networks. Since there are so few live sports available for broadcast, these networks are looking towards different sporting events to keep things on the air. That includes wrestling, which was the case on Sunday.
On Sunday, ESPN focused quite a bit of their television time on wrestling. This included the NCAA amateur wrestling tournaments from 2011, various documentaries on amateur wrestling and WWE, WrestleMania 35 and a 30 For 30 documentary on Ric Flair. The last one of those is a rather special one and deserves a special bonus, which is what took place on Sunday morning before the documentary aired.

Take two for AEW. One of the biggest attractions for a wrestling show is to have the events run live. With such a strong possibility for spoilers out there, wrestling airing live is the only surefire way to keep things under wraps. Granted, things are a little bit different at the moment as the lack of fans in an arena can keep any results from getting out. This means a segment not being live is not the worst thing, which was on display Wednesday.
This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite was highlighted by a confrontation between Chris Jericho and Matt Hardy. The big selling point of the segment was Broken Matt being able to speak on his own for the first time in a good while. Some people might have gotten more out of this than others, but there was a part of the segment that went so badly that it had to be redone at someone’s request.
According to Chris Jericho during a Facebook Live Q&A, the Hardy/Jericho segment that aired on Dynamite was the second version of the segment to be taped. ..

It’s a bigger deal than it might seem. WrestleMania, along with almost everything else in the world, has been turned on its head due to the spread of the Coronavirus. That is the kind of thing that you cannot plan for and with all of the changes that have taken place for WrestleMania itself, things are going to look very different than originally planned. Things might still be different after WrestleMania though.
One of the biggest issues the Coronavirus brings to the wrestling industry is having so many people in a close setting. If someone gets sick in WWE then there is a good chance that the rest of the roster could wind up with the same. That is a problem for anyone but there are some wrestlers who have it worse than others. Those people might not be around for a good while.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, both Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan could be away from WWE for longer than most. Both of them have autoimmune disorders which weaken their abilities to fight off diseases..

You don’t want to go too far. Things are not exactly normal in the world right now and that could be the case for a very long time to come. The spread of the Coronavirus has changed the way everything works and that does not seem ready to change for a long time to come. Part of the problem for the wrestling industry is having a limit on the amount of people who can be in one place at the same time. WWE did not seem too interested in such an issue earlier this week.
The biggest issue currently facing the wrestling industry is a Center For Disease Control recommendation that ten people should not be in the same place at the same time. That can make it rather difficult to produce a wrestling show, but WWE has pushed forward no matter what. However, it turns out that they might not have been playing by the rules earlier this week.

A match 15 years in the making. WWE has posted a new video to its YouTube channel in which they show the full match between Triple H and Sting from WrestleMania 31. This was the final battle between WWE and WCW since the company closed its doors in 2001.

That’s one way to go. We are coming up on WrestleMania 36 and for the first time ever, the show will have taken place before we actually see it. That has never been done before and it is going to change everything that is going on with the show. It also means that some changes have made at the last minute, with one wrestler having to be replaced due to injury. Now we might know the replacement.
This year’s WrestleMania is one of the most unique in history as the show has felt like it is being thrown together with whomever is available to be on the show. With so many being off the show due to illness or the threat of illness, there are a lot of spots available, but another one was opened up due to a regular injury. It happened to be someone in a title match, and now that spot has been filled.

It’s the final night in Las Vegas before we head over towards Atlanta for what is now the last set of TV tapings available. We’re on the way towards Rebellion and that likely means a lot more “show is canceled” graphics. It’s not like they have much of a better choice so it’s as good as they can do here. Let’s get to it.
The opening recap looks at Sami Callihan being revealed as the Realityislost hacker and attacking Ken Shamrock, who had just been announced as the newest Hall of Fame inductee.

That’s a logical move. The wrestling world, as part of the world as a whole, is in a weird situation right now as every day brings some kind of change to the entire situation brought on by the Coronavirus. The disease has spread around the world at an alarming rate and at the moment, it isn’t clear when things are going to get better. WWE has taken notice and as a result, a WrestleMania match has been changed accordingly.
As we head towards WrestleMania 36, most of the card is already set. Several of the matches are going to be built around a major grudge, including AJ Styles vs. the Undertaker. This week on Monday Night Raw, Styles announced that their match would be a Boneyard match, which brought up the obvious question: what the heck is a Boneyard match? Now we have a better idea.

That’s some good publicity. The sports world is in a very strange place at the moment as almost all sports around the world have been suspended for the moment. This has left sports networks a lot of time to fill in on their airwaves and a lot of that can be filled in by older material. There are several options to pick from, and one of them is something that has rarely been touched before.
Wrestling has a long history on television, as it has long since been seen as an easy source of programming which can be put on the air at a moment’s notice. Most wrestling is self sustained so airing the show is little more than playing a tape that the wrestling company sends to the network. With so little footage available, sports networks are looking towards wrestling to fill in some time, which will be the case over the next week.

That would be an interesting way to go Firefly. We are coming up on a rather interesting WrestleMania as there has never been one like it before and likely never will be again. With so many of the normal things taken off the table this year, there are going to be a lot of original things that we have not seen before. One of those is going to be in one of the bigger matches, and now we know what that might be.
There are a lot of big matches set for WrestleMania and one of the most intriguing is Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena. Wyatt blames the rise of the Fiend on his loss to Cena at WrestleMania 30 and Cena is ready to fight for the company’s future. The match is going to be a Firefly Fun House match, though Wyatt did not specify the rules. Now though, we might have an idea of what the match will be.
