She’s not having it. We are about six weeks away from WrestleMania 39, which will take place on April 1 and 2. WWE has turned the event into the biggest wrestling showcase of the year with some of the most important matches in history taking place there. It means a lot for a wrestler to make it onto the card and now a WWE star is venting her frustrations at missing previous WrestleManias.

This week on Monday Night Raw, Bayley lost a triple threat match for a chance to get into the Elimination Chamber for the WrestleMania 39 Raw Women’s Title match. Bayley has since taken to Twitter, talking about how she has missed the last two WrestleManias but promised to go to Hollywood (as WrestleMania 39 is in Los Angeles) one way or another. This comes after Bayley missed WrestleMania 38 due to injury and hosted WrestleMania 37.

A long title reign coming to an end can mark the beginning of a new era, especially if that wrestler is set to become the next big star. On August 30, 2020 at Payback, Roman Reigns won the Universal Title from the Fiend in a triple threat match also involving Braun Strowman. Reigns has held the title ever since, and as of February 16, 2023, he has held the title for 900 days. This is the fifth longest World Title reign in WWE history and the longest since Hulk Hogan’s 1984-1988 reign, which lasted 1,474 days. Reigns is set to defend the title this weekend at Elimination Chamber against Sami Zayn.

Hearing the right kind of music playing to signal a wrestler’s entrance is the right way to put people in the mood for what they are about to see. Make sure you read the fine print. There are certain segments that you will see used over and over again to build up matches. These things have been used for years to set up matches, some of which are used a lot more often than others. Several of them are used by WWE to this day and now we know a lot more about the very specific details about a popular one.

This week’s Monday Night Raw saw a contract signing between Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley for their Elimination Chamber match. Lesnar had already signed the contract coming in and, after a brawl between the two, Lashley signed the contract as well. The contract could be seen on the show and, according to Fightful Select, this is what the contract said:

OH YEAH! There have been all kinds of wrestling merchandise over the years and some of them are more unique than others. You never know what you might find out there as occasionally wrestlers will go a bit out of the box to market themselves. On occasion these items are more infamous than anything else and now one of the weirder ones ever is coming back.

Back in 2003, Macho Man Randy Savage released his debut, and only, rap album called “Be A Man”. The album featured an infamous title track attacking Hulk Hogan for various reasons. Recordstoreday.com has announced that the album will be re-released on vinyl for National Record Store Day on April 22. However, there will only be 1000 copies made and released throughout the country.

That’s the big one. There are all kinds of major wrestling events throughout the year, but nothing really comes close to WrestleMania. The event has become so big that the last three editions have taken place over the course of two nights, with this year’s WrestleMania 39 set to be the same. That means there will be two main events, and now we know something important about one of them.

Last month at the Royal Rumble, Cody Rhodes earned the right to challenge for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania 39. Should this happen and if Roman Reigns is still the defending champion, it will be the third straight year he has defended the title on Night Two. That’s who she is. A wrestler’s name is one of the most important things about them as the wrong name can put a hard limit on where your career can go. It is hard to imagine that wrestlers with certain names are going to reach the top of the card no matter what they do. Sometimes you will see the name changed and it can be a positive update, which hopefully is the case with a recent change.

Last October, Simone Johnson, the daughter of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, made her NXT debut, joining the Schism stable. She was introduced as Ava Raine and has yet to wrestle her first match. However, according to her WWE.com profile, her name has officially been shortened to simply Ava. There is no word on why WWE made the change or when Ava will make her in-ring debut.

Running it back. According to a report from Wrestling News, Chris Jericho has officially filed a trademark for the name “Jeri-show”, which was the name of his tag team that he had formed with “The Big Show” Paul Wight in WWE.
The trademark request was filed by Michael E. Dockins and reads as follows:

As only he can. There are certain names in wrestling who are among the biggest the sport has ever seen. Fans know these people no matter what they are doing and there is something special about seeing them out there every so often. Occasionally they will become big enough stars to do something outside of the ring and that is what another legend is doing now.

A&E has announced that Steve Austin will be starring in a new series called “Stone Cold Takes On America”, which will feature Austin traveling the country in an attempt to experience things that he missed during his wrestling career. Austin will travel around in his RV, “accepting challenges from fans that push him out of his comfort zone” while also looking back at some of Austin’s career. The ten part series will debut Sunday April 10 at 10pm EST as part of A&E’s Superstar Sunday block of WWE programming.

One of the easiest ways is to take away something that the fans want, which could come in many forms. Occasionally it means having a wrestler not be around for one reason or another, which is what we are seeing again now.

Last week on AEW Dynamite, Hook attacked Stokely Hathaway, allegedly injuring his arm in the process. As a result, Hathaway has been wearing a brace on his arm since the attack. This week, Hathaway was talking about wanting justice for the attack when he was told that Hook had been suspended, pending an investigation. There is no word on how long Hook will be missing from AEW TV.

Earlier this month, Jay White lost a Loser Leaves Japan match, signaling that he would be leaving New Japan Pro Wrestling. Earlier this week, White sent out a tweet saying “Peace” with the hashtag “SwitchbladeEra”, referencing his Switchblade nickname. White is still scheduled to face Eddie Kingston for New Japan in San Jose, California this weekend, though his New Japan deal is expected to expire shortly thereafter. This has led to speculation that he is coming to either WWE or AEW, though nothing has been confirmed.
