Monday Night Raw Results – October 4, 2021 (2021 Draft Night Two)

Monday Night Raw
Date: October 4, 2021
Location: Bridgestone Arena, Nashville, Tennessee
Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton
It’s time for the second half of the Draft and that could make for a huge night. These are the picks who were not made on Smackdown and the changes do not go into effect until October 22. On top of that though, we also have GOLDBERG making an appearance so you know things are special. Let’s get to it.
Commentary explains the Draft rules.
Here is Becky Lynch to get things going. Becky says it has been about a year and a half since she has been on this stage but she is ready to make some executives unhappy. The first Draft pick to Raw is…..yeah of course it’s her. Becky talks about how she never lost the Raw Women’s Title and Charlotte can’t stand the idea that she can’t beat her. Maybe it’s time to become Becky Two Belts again….and here is Charlotte to interrupt.
Charlotte reminds Becky that she took the Smackdown Women’s Title from her befor..

Special New WWE Signing Drafted To Monday Night Raw In Surprise Move

There’s your game changer. The WWE Draft has the potential to shake up a lot of things in the company in a hurry and sometimes it happens more than others. You never know when you might see a move that can change everything at once and occasionally it comes from the least likely location. That might be the case this year with a huge Draft pick being made this week.
In the final round of the 2021 WWE Draft, Monday Night Raw selected Olympic Gold Medalist Gable Steveson with its final pick. Steveson won a gold medal in freestyle wrestling earlier this year at the Tokyo games and signed with WWE soon thereafter. It is not clear when Steveson will make his in-ring debut, as he is under a special contract with WWE which allows him to continue his college career at the University of Minnesota. He will begin full time with WWE when he graduates next spring.
WWE has a history with Olympians. Check out some of their time in WWE:

Huge Main Event Set For WWE Crown Jewel

There’s the big one. We are less than three weeks away from WWE Crown Jewel and that means it is time to start getting the rest of the card together. There are already several matches set for the show but you can still see a few glaring omissions which need to be filled. One of those matches was taken care of this week and it should be a heck of a showdown.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Drew McIntyre challenged Big E. for a WWE Title match. Before Big E. could answer, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode interrupted and a tag match broke out. McIntyre pinned Ziggler to win the match, with Big E. saying McIntyre could have a title shot at Crown Jewel. This comes after McIntyre was banned from challenging previous champion Bobby Lashley, who Big E. defeated for the title last month.
This could be interesting. Check out both men in action, plus how we got here:

Another Champion Switches Brands In WWE Draft

Welcome back. There are certain wrestlers who just feel different. Sometimes it is clear that a few wrestlers are bigger stars than others and it is easy to see why they are pushed as bigger stars than anyone else. These wrestlers do not come around often but you know them when you see them. That is the case in WWE and now one of the wrestlers is changing shows.
The second night of the 2021 WWE Draft is taking place this week on Monday Night Raw, with several more picks being made between both shows. SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch opened the show and announced that she is the first pick and will be heading to Monday Night Raw. It is not clear what this means for the title, though Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte was sent to SmackDown on the first night of the Draft. The changes do not take place until after Crown Jewel on October 21, where Lynch is set to defend her title against Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks.
Lynch has done some great things on Monday Night Raw. Check out her ..

New Title Match Announced For WWE Crown Jewel

The card keeps growing. We are less than three weeks away from WWE Crown Jewel, as the company returns to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This series of shows has been quite the controversial ones for WWE, though they are often stacked with major matches. That seems to be the case again this time around, as WWE has now announced another title match for the show.
WWE has announced that Raw Tag Team Champions RKBro will defend their titles against AJ Styles and Omos at Crown Jewel on October 21. This will be a rematch from Summerslam where RKBro won the titles. The two teams have feuded since, including a number of singles matches. Orton has been out of action for undisclosed reasons over the last week plus, though there is nothing to suggest he won’t be back in time for the match.
The feud has been going for a bit. Check out how we got here, plus the history of RKBro:

Details On Goldberg’s Special Deal In WWE

I’d say he counts as special. There are a lot of wrestlers on the WWE roster and some of them are going to be treated like something more important. That could be the case for a lot of reasons, though some of them seem to be because they have earned a different status over the years. It seems to be the case with a certain legend who is back again for another run with the company.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Goldberg is one of a few WWE stars with a special deal to appear on shows in Saudi Arabia. Goldberg receives a large bonus for appearing on the shows, which is why his matches will never be moved elsewhere ala Bobby Lashley vs. Randy Orton on Monday Night Raw last month. Goldberg does not currently have a match set for Crown Jewel on October 21, but he is expected to face Bobby Lashley in a Summerslam rematch.
He has been in some big ones over there. Check out Goldberg in Saudi Arabia and against Lashley:

Ring Of Honor TV Results – September 29, 2021

Ring of Honor
Date: September 29, 2021
Location: UMBC Event Center, Baltimore, Maryland
Commentators: Ian Riccaboni, Caprice Coleman
Last week was a rather unique show as everything was focused on the Pure Rules division. That worked for a one off, but I could go for something else this week. Hopefully that is the case, as it should be time for the fallout from Death Before Dishonor. You never know what you’re getting around here though so let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Quinn McKay gives us the welcome and the rundown.
Brian Johnson is ready to take over the Pure Rules division. PJ Black comes up and says if he wins, Johnson has to shake his hands. Deal.
PJ Black vs. Brian Johnson Pure Rules and Johnson says Black is the only non-bozo on the roster. He even handles his own entrance to save Bobby Cruise some time. Black, Johnson’s former mentor, says he didn’t teach Johnson everything. They go to the mat to start with Black working on the arm, setting up a front facelock. A hea..

205 Live Results – October 1, 2021

205 Live
Date: October 1, 2021
Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida
Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Vic Joseph
Things have actually changed around here a bit and that is a great thing to see. 205 Live has long since lost any appeal that it had so having some lower level NXT people getting some attention is a good thing. The show still doesn’t mean anything, but now it means something with some slightly more important people. Let’s get to it.
Dante Chen vs. Malik Blade Feeling out process to start with Chen snapping off a hiptoss and grabbing an armbar. Some armdrags set up the armbar sequel but Blade is back up with a heck of a dropkick. Blade grabs his own armbar and Chen can’t even suplex his way to freedom. Chen fights up and hits a pump kick to the face, followed by a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. The guillotine drop finishes Blade at 4:38.
Result: Dante Chen b. Malik Blade – Guillotine drop (4:38)
Amari Miller vs. Valentina Feroz Feroz grabs a headlock to start and..

Impact Wrestling Results – September 30, 2021

Impact Wrestling
Date: September 30, 2021
Location: Skyway Studios, Nashville, Tennessee
Commentators: D’Lo Brown, Matt Striker
We are on the way to Bound For Glory and we now have the main event set for the World Title. As a result of Josh Alexander giving up the X-Division Title to set up the main event, we need a new X-Division Champion and the tournament begins tonight. It’s time to get serious around here so let’s get to it.
Opening recap.
Opening sequence.
X-Division Title Tournament First Round: Laredo Kid vs. Alex Zayne vs. Trey Miguel The winner goes on to the title match at Bound For Glory. Zayne hiptosses Kid over to Miguel for a hurricanrana but they’re all back up to miss dropkicks and that means a standoff. Kid is sent outside and Zayne hits a running twisting backsplash for two on Miguel. That doesn’t last long as Kid is back in to send Zayne outside but Miguel does the same, setting up a running hurricanrana over the top to flip Kid off the apron.

Big Update On Braun Strowman’s Future In Wrestling

That’s one way to go. Over the last few years, the wrestling industry has been dominated by WWE and AEW, both of which have been going after all kinds of talented wrestlers. It has made for some interesting decisions when a wrestler goes to one place or another, but not we are seeing another player come into the picture, at least for one specific former WWE star.
According to Fightful Select, AEW and Adam Scherr, formerly known as Braun Strowman in WWE, have had conversations about Scherr coming in, but it does not seem that they will be working together. Instead, Scherr is expected to wind up in Impact Wrestling, which has reportedly been making a play for him in recent months. There is no word on when Scherr will make his debut with Impact Wrestling, assuming he signs there. Scherr made his return to the ring this weekend, defeating EC3 at Free The Narrative II.
Scherr would be a huge pickup. Check out who might be coming to Impact Wrestling:

Former WWE Star Drops Hint About Coming To AEW Soon

He would work. There have been a lot of wrestlers leaving WWE over the last few months, some of whom have left the company against their will. That can make for some major shifts in the wrestling world, but it can also be rather interesting as you wait to see where these wrestlers wind up. Another former WWE star has dropped a major hint about where he might be going.
This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite will feature the return of the Casino Ladder Match, which will see several wrestlers split into groups, who will enter the match at set times. There will also be a surprise entrant designated as the Joker, who will enter last. According to 411mania.com, former WWE star Buddy Matthews, better known as Buddy Murphy, tweeted out an image of joker. However, the tweet has since been deleted. Since his release from WWE, Matthews has wrestled a pair of independent matches but has not announced a signing with any promotion.
AEW could be getting a heck of a star. Check out Matthews’ time in WW..

WWE Making Plans For Two New Regular Series

Even more? If there is one thing that WWE is good at, it is producing content. The company has all kinds of shows throughout the week, some of which are institutions of professional wrestling. At the same time though, WWE also has several shows which might not get the same amount of attention. Now they are going to have the chance to showcase even more of their content.
According to Fightful.com, WWE has filed trademarks for “Raw Rebound” and “SmackDown Breakdown”, both of which would be shows about wrestling. There is no word on when or where these would air, or if they would be replacing Raw Talk and Talking Smack. WWE has run Raw Rebound segments before, often during episodes of SmackDown to offer recaps of the week’s Monday Night Raw.
Both shows could use another look. Check out some of the better parts of the two:
