Several WWE Releases May Be Due To Coronavirus Vaccination Status

That’s a reason. The Coronavirus pandemic has shaken up the world in a lot of ways and there are a lot of things that still are not quite the same. It has made for some rather terrible situations, including the amount of people who have gotten sick or even died during the pandemic. Various vaccinations have managed to slow things down a lot, but now they might have caused a problem in the wrestling world.
Earlier this week, WWE released nearly twenty wrestlers from the company, with the explanation being a series of budget cuts. However, according to the New York Post, at least one wrestler was released due to their Coronavirus vaccination status, including Nia Jax. According to Fightful Select, there could have been five wrestlers released due to their vaccination status, though no names were included. It was also noted that vaccination status was NOT the only reason for all releases.
This is kind of a mess. Check out some of the released wrestlers while you still can:

VIDEO: Bryan Danielson Reenacts Infamous Moment After AEW Dynamite

It’s kind of famous. There are certain moments in wrestling that are just different from the rest, as you know that you are seeing something that is going to cause some changes. These might not always be for the best, but you know them when you see them. That was the case with a certain moment about eleven years ago, and now we are seeing it recreated in a lighter mood.
Back on June 7, 2010, the group that would become known as the Nexus made its WWE debut, attacking John Cena and CM Punk. A near riot broke out, which included Bryan Danielson choking ring announcer Justin Roberts with his necktie. This was seen as a step too far, and Bryan was released from the company, eventually returning in August. Following this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite, Danielson and Roberts got in the ring and recreated the scene, with Danielson threatening to choke Roberts again if he ever called Danielson Daniel Bryan again.
This was quite the moment. Check out the original brawl, the recreation, and so..

News On AEW Changing Miro’s Booking Plans

Not so fast? Correct booking is something that can be rather hard to pull off in wrestling, but doing things right can be absolutely great. Sometimes it works better than others and that can be due to making the right adjustments at the right times. It can take a few attempts to find the right combination and that seems to be the case with a fairly prominent current star.
This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite saw Miro defeat Orange Cassidy to advance to the finals of the World Title Eliminator tournament. Miro was a replacement for Jon Moxley, who has entered rehabilitation for alcohol issues. According to Fightful Select, the decision to have Miro take Moxley’s spot came on Tuesday, with Miro only arriving to the building just before Dynamite began. It is also said that Miro’s creative plans have changed several times in recent weeks, though it is not clear what the original or final plants will be.
Miro is a force all his own. Check out what he has done in AEW:

REVIEW: Survivor Series 1994: Make Your Own Jokes

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?
Survivor Series 1994
Date: November 23, 1994
Location: Freeman Coliseum, San Antonio, Texas
Attendance: 10,000
Commentators: Vince McMahon, Gorilla Monsoon
We’re rapidly approaching a new era in the WWF but we aren’t quite there yet. The main event tonight is Yokozuna vs. Undertaker in their second casket match of the year with Chuck Norris, yes that Chuck Norris, as the special outside enforcer. Other than that we’ve got Bret defending the title against the now insane Bob Backlund in a submission match. There are..

Some Top Names Not Backstage At This Week’s WWE Monday Night Raw

Call it time off? There are a lot of wrestlers on the WWE roster today and a handful of them are at the top of the card. While they are the bigger names on the show, sometimes you need to shake things up a bit by letting them have some time off. This might be the case for multiple reasons, but this time it seems that more than one name has been missing some recent time.
According to PWInsider.com, AJ Styles, Bobby Lashley and Karrion Kross were not backstage at this week’s Monday Night Raw. Styles has been out of action with a non-injury medical issue and it is not clear when he will be back. Lashley is currently out of action following his match with Goldberg at Crown Jewel but he has been mentioned on Monday Night Raw. Kross has been rumored to return with a new look and character, but he has not wrestled since a live event on October 10.
They’re all good enough to wait on. Check out the three of them in action:

WATCH: Former WWE US Champion Makes AEW Debut

Welcome to your new home. There have been several roster changes for WWE over the last year and a half, with several long time wrestlers moving on from the company. That can make for some interesting moments for other rosters, as you do not know where some of these wrestlers are going to wind up. It can be quite the moment when you see them show up elsewhere, and now another former WWE star has made a big appearance.
Samuray del Sol, formerly known as Kalisto in WWE, made his AEW debut during this week’s addition of Dynamite. Del Sol teamed with Aerostar to challenge FTR for the AAA Tag Team Titles in a losing effort. Del Sol was released from WWE on April 15 of this year and has not wrestled since competing in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on April 1. There is no word on if he will be appearing again in AEW.
Del Sol is someone who could be a star anywhere. Check out what he can do in the ring:

Two More Matches Set For AEW Full Gear With A Surprise Each

The show is growing. We are well on the way to AEW Full Gear and that means the card is almost entirely put together. The key to that however is almost, as there is still some time to set things up before we get to the pay per view. AEW has all kinds of wrestlers available and now we have two more matches finally set, as there were some details officially confirmed this week.
Two more Full Gear matches were officially confirmed this week on Dynamite. These matches had both been announced in advance, but more details had to be set. First up, the Inner Circle selected the three members of American Top Team to join the Men of the Year in a street fight. The Inner Circle chose Junior Dos Santos, Andrei Arlovski and Dan Lambert to take part in the match.
Later, in the show’s main event, Miro defeated Orange Cassidy to earn a spot in the World Title Eliminator Tournament, where he will face Bryan Danielson. Following the match, Danielson came to the ring and offered Miro a handshake but Mi..

WWE Lets Several More Names Go From The Company

So long? WWE is a huge wrestling company and have all kinds of people on their roster. While you are going to know all kinds of stars from the television show, there are several more people who wrestle behind the scenes and will almost never get the recognition that they deserve. Now though, it seems that even more of them are going to be gone, which has been the case quite often recently.
Multiple WWE backstage employees have left the company in recent days. According to PWInsider.com, Stan Stanski, the Senior Vice President of Creative Services, has left WWE after almost fifteen years in the company. His departure has led several people to believe that almost no one is safe. In addition, according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, WWE made several office cuts this week, with the total being in the single digits. It is not clear if Stanski is in this group or if more releases are coming.
Fightful has confirmed that WWE had several office cuts this week. We're told in the single di..

KB’s Review: Give Them Two Stars

I think it’s safe to say that AEW has been a success so far. You can argue about their audience/demo (or please don’t) but it is clear that they have made an impact and shaken things up. That is something that is not exactly easy to do but AEW has not only hit the ground running but picked up all kinds of momentum, especially in the last few months. A lot of that is due to the last few months and we are going to be looking at two of the bigger moves today.
Back on August 20, CM Punk made his AEW debut in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois on the second episode of Rampage. This very well may have been the greatest moment that the company has had to date, as Punk received the hero’s welcome to end them all, driving him to near tears (or maybe all the way there) in response. Throw in the “have a free ice cream bar on me” to make it even better and this could not have gone much better.
Fast forward to All Out on September 5, when Bryan Danielson appeared as the big surprise to end the sho..

VIDEO: There’s A New Tag Team With A Very Unique Name

Hook em up. Tag team wrestling has a weird history in WWE, as it has had some bright spots but has often been little more than filler on a lot of shows. Even in the worse times though, tag wrestling has always had something of a place in WWE, with several teams standing out in history. Now there is another team in the company and this one even has a name.
Ikemen Jiro and Kushida have formed a tag team in NXT and in a new video, they have announced their team name as Jacket Time. The name comes from a combination of the jacket that Jiro wears in in the ring and Kushida’s previous team, the Time Splitters. The team has yet to wrestle a match together, but have been shown in various backstage segments together.
It’s a unique name. Check out the announcement, plus both of them in action:

AEW Dynamite Live Coverage And Results – November 3, 2021

Dynamite
Date: November 3, 2021
Location: Cable Dahmer Arena, Independence, Missouri
Commentators: Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, Excalibur
We are less than three weeks away from Full Gear and things have been shaken up a bit. Jon Moxley, who was in the semifinals of the #1 contenders tournament, has decided to go to rehab for alcohol issues, which leaves a big hole in the brackets. We should get a replacement tonight though and that could be interesting. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Kenny Omega vs. Alan Angels Non-title and commentary brings up Moxley’s issues during Omega’s entrance. Angels goes right after him to start but Omega knocks him back, including some chops. A few shots knock Omega into the corner but he’s back with the Kitaro Crusher. Omega hits a running face shots to take Angels down (think a bulldog but from the front) and the brainbuster onto the knee knocks Angels silly.
The V Trigger misses though and Angels grabs a rollup for two. There’s a suicide dive to send..
