It’s an interesting choice. It had been previously reported that Rey Mysterio will be given the ultimate honor within WWE, and become a member of the WWE Hall of Fame, Class of 2023. But who will be the one to induct Mysterio?
According to a report from Dave Meltzer, former WCW superstar Konnan will do the honors of bringing Mysterio into the Hall of Fame.

Konnan was the most obvious choice because they have been close for decades, dating back to Rey and Konnan’s early days in the wrestling business. This might be Konnan’s first appearance at a major WWE event. Konnan wrestled briefly as Max Moon on non-televised matches in 1992 but those matches never aired and he left the company before the character debuted on TV with Paul Diamond playing the role.
Konnan will be inducting Rey into the Hall of Fame. Rey asked for him and the company approved it. As noted last night, to me it was the only choice.

That can lead to some battles to land talent, and now we might be seeing that again with a very talented star who has recently appeared on AEW television.

Earlier this month, AEW presented its annual Face of the Revolution ladder match, which included AAA star Komander. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE contacted Komander both before and after he took part in the match. While WWE did not offer him a contract, they wanted to bring him in for a meeting. There is no word on if the meeting took place or if AEW is interested in signing him. It is not clear if Komander will be returning to AEW TV in the future.

These things can put them on the shelf for any length of time and there is often little that can be done about them. In February, WWE Hall of Famer Jerry the King Lawler suffered a stroke at his home in Florida. Lawler was recovering in Florida and undergoing outpatient therapy but now, according to PWInsider.com, he has recovered enough to return to his other home in Memphis, Tennessee. There is no word on when Lawler, 73, is expected to make a full recovery from the stroke.

Yes or no? With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it is easy for a wrestler to get a bit lost in the shuffle. Someone can be off of television for a bit and almost be forgotten, which can make for some tricky situations. That can happen at almost anytime and it seems to be the case again with another star, but now they are disagreeing with reports about her status with the company.

Alexa Bliss has not wrestled since the Royal Rumble on January 28. According to both PWInsider.com and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bliss is on a hiatus from WWE, with PWInsider reporting that Bliss was not factored into the company’s plans after the Royal Rumble. Bliss has since responded to the reports, saying that she is not on hiatus and “they know where they can find me.” She also said that “you only see what parts of life I want you to see.” There is no word on when Bliss will return..

That would have been different. Three years ago, the Coronavirus pandemic turned the world upside down and things have only recently returned to mostly normal. There were several changes made to almost everything around the world, including WWE. The company kept going during the pandemic, but it turns out that one show almost did not get to wrap up.

During a recent live signing with East Coast Autograph Auctions, former WWE star Nia Jax revealed that the Governor of Connecticut almost shut the match down, with police coming to the building. Despite that, WWE was able to finish filming and shoot the match as planned.

That is some work. There are all kinds of things that go into making a wrestler feel like a star and one of the biggest is their physical appearance. It can be rather impressive to see how much someone can change their physique over the years and how much work they have to put into the process. Strowman debuted in WWE in 2015 and is also a former Intercontinental and Tag Team Champion.

Another. We are coming up on the four year anniversary of AEW’s first event with Double Or Nothing 2019. The company hit the ground running and has gone on to become the second biggest wrestling promotion in the world. That is the kind of thing that can change the wrestling industry, and now it seems that we might be getting to see even more of AEW on a regular basis.

According to the Mat Men podcast, AEW and Warner Brothers Discovery are finalizing an agreement for a third weekly AEW television show, which would run for an hour on Saturdays. There is no word on when the show would debut or when/where it would be broadcast. AEW currently runs two weekly television shows with Dynamite and Rampage plus two weekly web series with Dark and Dark: Elevation.

That would be a different way to go. Legends can do a lot of good things in wrestling as they offer a variety of unique opportunities that regular stars cannot pull off. It can mean a lot to have a legend pop up in the right spot and that is still the case today in WWE. This time around, we might be in for a major story involving a past star mixing it up with a current top star.

Last month, Trish Stratus made a surprise return to help Lita and Becky Lynch win the Women’s Tag Team Titles. The three are now set for a six woman tag against Damage CTRL at WrestleMania 39. According to WRKD Wrestling on Twitter, the current plan is for Stratus to turn on Lynch and feud with her throughout the summer, leading to a match between the two at Summerslam. There is no word on when the turn will take place.

Sammy Guevara vs. Action Andretti Guevara is more than a bit cocky to start so Andretti takes him down and starts hammering away. Andretti sends him outside and into the steps, setting up a dropkick and moonsault for two back inside. They head outside again with Guevara getting the better of things for a change. Back up and Andretti sends him outside again for a dive and we take a break.
We come back with a midair collision leaving both of them down. They slug it out with Andretti hitting a backbreaker into a neckbreaker to ..

According to Fightful, as of Friday, the Usos have held the SmackDown Tag Team Titles for 600 days. This is the first time in the history of WWE that any Tag Team Title reign has reached this milestone. The previous record for any tag team title reign was Princess Victoria and Velvet McIntyre, who held the WWF Women’s Tag Team Titles for 572 days from 1983-1984. The Usos are also the Raw Tag Team Champions and have held the titles for 295 days.

Kane is currently the Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee and last wrestled in the 2021 Royal Rumble.

Ric Flair won the Intercontinental Title at Unforgiven 2005 and went on to hold it for about five months. During the latest episode of his To Be The Man podcast, Flair talked about how WWE does not have an official photo of him with the title. Flair refused to take a photo with the title as champion and was fined $5,000 as a result.
