More On Several Recent WWE Releases And Backstage Restructuring

They’re done too. WWE has been going through a lot of changes in recent months, with a lot of them being in front of the camera. There have been all kinds of releases from the roster, but several of them have been from the corporate side of things. WWE has undergone quite the restructuring, and now a lot more people are leaving over another change.
As previously reported, WWE released several more backstage employees earlier this month. This included many members of Stephanie McMahon’s staff, including Laura Petrocelli, who has been praised by McMahon in the past. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, these cuts were made because McMahon’s Branding department is being merged with the Marketing department. There is no word on if WWE will be making any more releases as a result of the merger.
McMahon has quite her own set of memorable moments. Check out what she has done in WWE:

AEW Star Out Of Action With A Concussion

Hopefully it isn’t bad. There are a lot of injuries in the wrestling world but one of the worst is anything involving the head. A head injury of any kind can take a long time to heal and it is one of the more serious issues a wrestler can have. Thankfully the industry has started taking head injuries far more seriously, which is why another wrestler is currently missing some time.
According to Wrestlinginc.com, Lance Archer has suffered a concussion and is currently out of action. Archer injured his neck on the October 23 edition of AEW Dynamite when he landed on his head in a moonsault attempt, resulting in a neck sprain. Archer was expected to be out of action for 4-6 weeks due to the sprain, but it is not clear when he could be cleared of the concussion.
Archer can be a heck of a monster when he is healthy. Check out what he can do in the ring:

AEW Full Gear 2021 Preview, Predictions And Thoughts

It’s always fun to see AEW back on pay per view as they really have figured out the formula. They know what they are doing with the whole thing and we should be in for another one this time around. The card is absolutely stacked from top to bottom and we could be in for one of the more historic moments in AEW’s history to date. Let’s get to it.
Pre-Show: Hikaru Shida/Thunder Rosa vs. Jamie Hayter/Nyla Rose It’s a battle of four people who are still in the TBS Title tournament and I’ve heard worse reasons to have a pre-show tag match. There isn’t much else connecting these women and they haven’t interacted much on TV, but it should do rather well as a way to get things rolling for the evening. It isn’t like Shida and Rose don’t know each other so maybe they can have a good match through familiarity.
This can be great:

I’ll go with Shida and Rosa to win here as there is little reason to go with having the popular wrestlers lose to open the ni..

REVIEW: ECW November To Remember 1994: We’re Still Not Done

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?
November To Remember 1994
Date: November 5, 1994
Location: ECW Arena, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Attendance: 1,000
Commentator: Joey Styles
This is one of the promotions I can’t escape no matter how hard I try. It’s a requested show that was just dropped on the Network a few weeks back and since it’s ECW’s flagship event, it’s probably worth a shot. In theory that is as ECW is one of the most unpredictable promotions in the world. Let’s get to it.
This must be the full version as we even see the ring announcer co..

WATCH: B-Fab Music Video On WWE Release With Hit Row’s Top Dolla

Speak your minds. Talking is one of the most important aspects of wrestling, if not the most important of them all. The ability to speak allows a wrestler to get a message across and get fans to understand the story they’re telling. Some wrestlers have been incredibly talented at speaking over the years, but there are all kinds of ways to do so. Now some wrestlers are telling a story in a different way.
B-Fab was one of the WWE wrestlers released from the company earlier this month. Since her release, she has released a rap thanking her fans. The track, called It’s Not Goodbye, was tweeted by Isaiah Swerve Scott and featured former Hit Row teammate Top Dolla. The song includes comparisons to Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair while also criticizing people for saying B-Fab is not ready.
It’s an emotional song. Check out the track, plus what B-Fab did while in WWE:

How Coronavirus Vaccination Status Changes WWE’s View Of Wrestlers

That’s a different perspective. The Coronavirus pandemic has changed the way a lot of things work, including the wrestling industry. Every promotion has been affected in one way or another, with some of them being more devastated than others. WWE has managed to keep things going, but there is still something related to the virus that still needs to be addressed.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE wrestlers who are not vaccinated against the Coronavirus have been told that they are less valuable than those who have been. This comes as several countries require wrestlers to be vaccinated in order to participate on overseas tours. There is nothing to suggest that unvaccinated wrestlers are under any danger of losing their jobs as a result of their vaccination status.
WWE has gone international before. Check out some of their times overseas:

WWE May Not Hold Major Event Over WrestleMania Weekend

That would be a big miss. We are approaching the end of the year and for WWE, that means it is time to start the Road to WrestleMania. What used to be the biggest night of the wrestling year has turned into nearly the biggest week of the wrestling year, with all kinds of events taking place over several days. However, one of the more prominent events is not currently on the schedule.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE does not currently have plans for a Hall of Fame induction ceremony during next year’s WrestleMania festivities. The event usually takes place the night before WrestleMania, but next year’s WrestleMania will again be a two night event on Saturday and Sunday, with SmackDown taking place on Friday night. There is always the chance that WWE could add the ceremony to the schedule at a later date.
There have been some great Hall of Fame inductions. Check out some of the better moments:

Try Again? Retired WWE Star Wants To Wrestle Again

One more run? There have been so many wrestlers to work for WWE over the years that it is almost impossible to remember them all. Some of them make more of an impact than others, but some wind up sticking around even after their in-ring careers end. On rare occasions, you see someone who makes a surprising return though, and that might be the case again.
WWE broadcaster Corey Graves has sent out a pair of tweets saying that he wants to wrestle again. Earlier this year, Graves sent out another tweet saying he was put on this planet to do something but isn’t doing it. Graves has not wrestled since April 2014 due to a series of concussions and began broadcasting for WWE at the end of the year. This comes four days after he won and lost the 24/7 Title on Monday Night Raw. Graves, 37 years old, wrestled exactly 14 years, beginning his career on March 22, 2000 and wrestling his final match on March 22, 2014. There is no word from WWE on a Graves in-ring return.

Jim Ross’ Cancer Treatment May Force Him To Take A Break From AEW

That’s never good to hear. There is a lot of wrestling on television today and there are a lot of people involved in every show. Some of them might not get the same amount of recognition though, as there are all kinds of people who are part of the show without actually wrestling. You can see and hear from these people every single week, but that might not be the case for one of them for the time being.
During the latest edition of his Grilling JR podcast, AEW’s Jim Ross announced that he will be undergoing radiation therapy to deal with the skin cancer on his foot. Ross said that he will know more after November 22, but there is a chance that he may have to step away from broadcasting duties with AEW. He also mentioned that he would like to be good to go by January for Dynamite’s move to TBS, but there is no word on how much, if any at all, time Ross might miss.
Ross has been a huge deal in AEW. Check out some of his time in the company:

Very Surprising NXT Star Debuts On WWE SmackDown

Already? There have been a lot of changes to NXT over the last few years and there is nothing to suggest that they are going to be done anytime soon. In addition to all of the releases that have been taking place, there is always the chance that someone could be moved up to the main roster. That seems to be the case again this week and the name might surprise you.
This week’s SmackDown featured a cameo from NXT’s Von Wagner, who was making his debut on the main roster. Wagner was seen standing in Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville’s office as Sami Zayn came in, though Wagner did not say anything and was not named. There is no word on if Wagner will be called up permanently or if this means he is leaving NXT. Wagner made his NXT debut on September 14 and has mainly teamed with Kyle O’Reilly, though he has only had three matches on the show.
There isn’t much to go on. Check out Wagner’s time in NXT:

Another Former WWE Star Makes AEW Debut

Welcome to the club? There are a lot of wrestlers in the world today and there are a lot of them who have some kind of a connection to WWE. That is the grandest stage in the wrestling world and getting on one of their shows means quite a bit. It can open a lot of doors, and another former WWE star used that door to wrestle on another pretty big wrestling show this week.
This week’s AEW Rampage featured the debut of former WWE star Ariya Daivari, who was wrestling in his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Daivari lost to Dante Martin, who is also from Minneapolis. There is no word on if Daivari will be returning to AEW or if he has signed any deal with the company. Daivari was released from WWE on June 25, 2021 and has wrestled six matches since.
Daivari is a talented star. Check out what he can bring to the ring:

WATCH: Two SmackDown Stars Out Of Survivor Series In Surprise Changes

Keep making those moves. We are less than two weeks away from Survivor Series but you might not know it by just glancing at WWE TV. The show has not gotten the highest level of attention or build so far and it is starting to show. There is still time to make adjustments though, and that was the case this week as two more names were moved off of the pay per view card.
This week on SmackDown, two wrestlers were removed from their respective Survivor Series teams. First, Aliyah was removed from the SmackDown Women’s Survivor Series team by Sonya Deville, who was advised to make the change by an unidentified person. Later, Sami Zayn lost his spot after he was defeated by Jeff Hardy in a match where the loser would be removed. There was no replacement named for either Aliyah or Zayn.
It was a busy night. Check out the action and the announcements:
