VIDEO: WWE Stars Want Changes To Survivor Series Format

She might be on to something. We are on the way to Survivor Series and this time around will be similar to the previous years. This year’s show will be focused on the idea of a battle for brand supremacy between Monday Night Raw and SmackDown, which might not be lighting the world on fire at the moment. It turns out that one prominent WWE star is not exactly thrilled with the idea either.
During a new interview with Vincente Beltran, Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch said that she felt the idea of battling for brand supremacy is “a little outdated”. Lynch went on to say that all WWE wrestlers are competitors and therefore want to compete for some kind of a prize. There is no word on WWE changing the concept, though Lynch is not alone with this line of thinking. SmackDown’s Xavier Woods also suggested that the winning team’s brand received the final five spots in the Royal Rumble match.
It was an interesting interview. Check out what Lynch and Woods had to say, plus what brand supremac..

Issues Between Vince McMahon, Randy Orton, And A Camel

It’s a unique situation. Earlier this year, WWE headed back to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel, their first event in the country for about a year and a half. That is the kind of thing that WWE can go with as they know how to make special shows feel that much more important. They did that in a few different ways, but Vince McMahon himself had to turn down one specific idea.
Crown Jewel featured a tag team match between RKBro and AJ Styles and Omos. The match featured a special entrance for RKBro, as Riddle rode a camel to the ring. In a new interview with Metro, Riddle revealed that Randy Orton was originally planned to ride a camel to the ring as well, but McMahon turned down the idea. McMahon’s reasoning was that Orton’s character would not ride a camel, which confused Orton. Instead of riding his own camel, Orton walked to the ring next to Riddle on his camel.
It was a unique moment. Check out the entrance, plus other camel related moments in WWE history (seriously):

REVIEW: Survivor Series 2004: The Consolation Prize

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?
Survivor Series 2004
Date: November 14, 2004
Location: Gund Arena, Cleveland, Ohio
Attendance: 7,500
Commentators: Michael Cole, Tazz, Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler
This is an interesting show as the two big matches are a match where the impact comes over the next four weeks and another where there is little more than bragging rights on the line. The build for this show hasn’t been the strongest, though a lot of that is due to the changes taking place in the company. There are some fresh talents coming in and they’re sti..

WWE Star Hosting Upcoming Gaming Competition Show

It’s a gig. Wrestling is a weird sport as it can be hard to get out of the industry. Unfortunately you see a lot of wrestlers who do not have much of an exit plan and are often in some trouble after retiring. The good thing is that you see a variety of wrestlers who have something else to do after wrestling is over, and now a current wrestler is moving in the direction of a new career.
WWE has announced that it is partnering with the soon to relaunch G4 network for a yet to be titled video game competition series. The series will be hosted by Xavier Woods and will feature various gamers facing off to “settle scores with actual scores.” In addition, Woods will be hosting The Catastrophic Launch Spectacular, which will air later this week and feature a look at the upcoming series on G4.
Woods can do a lot of things. Check out his time in gaming and in/out of the ring:

Wrestling Legend Undergoing Surgery While Fighting Cancer

Hopefully the surgery makes things better. Wrestlers are larger than life characters who we watch on TV every week, but there are things that take place when the cameras go off. Unfortunately some of these things are a lot more serious than others, including a wrestler’s health. That is the case again with a wrestling legend, who is undergoing a procedure while already in pretty serious shape.
Bobby Fulton, most well known as part of the Fantastics tag team, has announced that he underwent throat surgery on Monday. There is no word on what Fulton’s surgery is for, though he was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2019. Fulton retired from wrestling in 2020, following a forty three year career in wrestling. He last wrestled on December 14, 2019 in an eight man tag at Bobby Eaton: A Night Of Appreciation.
Having surgery today on my throat! Please pray for wisdom for the surgeons and that all goes well! Thank you! pic.twitter.com/lPSIeufPMe

Another Big Change To WWE Survivor Series Card

The last second substitution. We are coming up on Survivor Series later this week and that means it is time to start having everything set up for the show. Granted that has rarely been WWE’s style though, as they have a tendency to wait until the last possible second to do a lot of things. That would include one more change to this year’s card, as someone else will now be on the card.
This week’s Monday Night Raw featured a main event of Bobby Lashley defeating Rey Mysterio. After the match, WWE executive Adam Pearce came out and announced that Mysterio was off of the team due to his loss, with a replacement to be named. Austin Theory came to the ring and attacked Mysterio’s son Dominik, which was enough for Pearce to put him on the team instead.
Theory is a good choice. Check out what he is bringing to the team:

Monday Night Raw Live Coverage And Results – November 15, 2021

wMonday Night Raw
Date: November 15, 2021
Location: Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, Indiana
Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Byron Saxton, Corey Graves
It’s the go home show for Survivor Series and that means we should be in for some build to the show. Granted that has been the case for a few weeks now and the focus has been on whatever comes after the show instead. Maybe we can talk about the show a bit more this week, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up. Let’s get to it.
We open with a recap of Kevin Owens trying to make people believe he had changed last week. Then he lost to Seth Rollins and beat up Big E. anyway.
Here is Big E. for a chat. He thanks the fans for their attention before moving on to Roman Reigns. The Usos attacked his friends and now it is time to beat Reigns like he stole something. There better be some empty beds in those Brooklyn hospitals for them because he is taking a piece of Reigns that can never come back. That’s for Sunday but this is Monday Night Raw, so he ..

Two New Matches Set For WWE Survivor Series

Two for the road. We are less than a week away from Survivor Series, which will be one of the most unique shows of the year. As has been the case for the last few years, the show will be built around the idea of Monday Night Raw vs. SmackDown in a battle for brand supremacy. That means the two shows will be going head to head, and now we know a bit more about how that will be going down.
WWE has announced two more matches for the Survivor Series card. First, the Raw Tag Team Champions RKBro will face the SmackDown Tag Team Champions the Usos in a non-title match. Second, United States Champion Damian Priest will face Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura in another non-title match. Survivor Series has seen matches between the brands’ tag team and secondary champions for several years in a row.
These should be interesting. Check out what the champs are bringing to Survivor Series:

WRESTLING RUMORS: AEW’s Locker Room Is Doing Well After Full Gear

They’re on a roll. AEW has become one of the biggest wrestling promotions in the world in a pretty short amount of time. They have done a lot of things right so far and their pay per views have been among their most successful endeavors. AEW was back on pay per view this weekend with Full Gear and there was a lot taking place on the show. Fans seemed to like it, but what about the wrestlers themselves?
According to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men podcast, backstage morale is very high in AEW following Full Gear. The feeling is that the investments that the company has made in younger and future stars is already paying dividends. Full Gear featured a main event of Hangman Page defeating Kenny Omega to win the AEW World Title, plus Maxwell Jacob Friedman defeating Darby Allin in a match advertised as a battle of the young pillars of the company.
Spoke to someone within AEW last night regarding the PPV.
“Morale is very high with the locker room. The investment AEW has made in its future s..

205 Live Results – November 12, 2021

205 Live
Date: November 12, 2021
Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida
Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Vic Joseph
Since this is basically NXT Main Event, I’m running out of ways to say nice things about it. The show is much better than what we had for so long before, but you can only have so many positive things to say about a show that usually features a lower card match, a squash and two midcarders. It’s still fun and short though so let’s get to it.
Andre Chase vs. Malik Blade The fans are behind Malik and seem happy when he takes Chase down in a hurry. Back up and Andre elbows him in the face as you can see the Chase University Student Section (complete with a flag). The chinlock keeps Blade down and some elbows to the head make it worse.
Now the fans are behind Malik but Chase wants a C-H-A-S-E, with a stomp between each letter. A neckbreaker gives Chase two and he kicks Blade in the face for daring to try a small package. The chinlock goes on again but Blade fig..

Impact Wrestling Results – November 11, 2021

Date: November 11, 2021
Location: Sam’s Town Live, Las Vegas, Nevada
Commentators: Matt Striker, D’Lo Brown
We continue on the way towards Hard To Kill, though it is going to take some time to actually get there. There are a few things going on at the moment as well, which includes the build towards Turning Point. That could mean a few different ways to go on this show so let’s get to it.
Opening recap.
Opening sequence.
Bullet Club vs. FinJuice The winners get the Tag Team Title shot at Turning Point and Hikuleo is here with the Club. Bey headlocks Finlay to start and gets a grand total of nowhere. Instead Finlay takes him down and drops a knee to the chest. Robinson comes in for a slam and a backsplash crushes Bey again. Bey slips out of a delayed vertical suplex though and a distraction lets Robinson get dropped throat first across the barricade.
Back in and a legsweep takes Robinson down so El Phantasmo can hit a Lionsault. The top rope back rake wakes Robinso..

Ring Of Honor TV Results – November 10, 2021

Ring of Honor
Date: November 10, 2021
Location: 2300 Arena, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

It’s the Championship Edition of the show and that means we are in for a special main event. Bandido is going to be defending the World Title against Alex Zayne, in a title shot Zayne won back at Death Before Dishonor. Other than that, we continue down the path towards what seems to be the end of the company, though they might not have known that when the show was taped. Let’s get to it.
The opening video talks about what it means to be a champion while running down the card.
Opening sequence.
Quinn McKay welcomes us to the show and runs down the card.
Pure Wrestling Title: LSG vs. Josh Woods LSG is challenging and we hear him explain just how important all of this is for him. We get the Big Match Intros and even the referee gets a name graphic. LSG grabs a rollup to start and Woods smiles at him a bit. A headlock slows Woods down and a crucifix gives..
