LOOK: Wyatt Family Reunites Over The Weekend

Good to see you again. Stables can be a fascinating concept in wrestling because there are so many people put together all at once. It can make for a nice collection of talent being able to showcase themselves all at once, which opens up some doors. At the same time though, it can be quite the hit when a stable splits up. Not all splits are permanent though, and we saw a pretty cool reunion over the weekend.
The WrestleCade convention took place over the weekend in North Carolina. Both Adam Scherr and Erick Redbeard, formerly known as Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan, were at the convention and posed together for a photo. The two were part of the Wyatt Family in WWE but both were released from the company in the last two years. Neither have been signed to a major promotion.

WATCH: The Best Of The Rock vs. Steve Austin

It’s one of the great ones. There are certain rivalries in wrestling that have stood the test of time like few others. On rare occasions, you find a pair of wrestlers who can do some absolutely incredible things together. Those are the rivalries that fans tend to remember as well as anything else, which is what WWE is doing now, as they are looking at one of the best ever.
WWE has released a new video, looking at the top ten best moments from the Rock vs. Steve Austin. The list includes matches and segments from throughout their feud, which ranged from 1997 until 2003. Rock and Austin were the first wrestlers to face each other three times at WrestleMania. The video is part of WWE’s celebration of the Rock debut at Survivor Series 1996, twenty five years ago.
This is an amazing rivalry. Check out the top ten, plus some more great moments:

VIDEO: AEW Takes A Special Look At An Important Issue

It’s an important thing in and out of AEW. Wrestling has come a long way in the areas of taking care of its stars in recent years. A lot of this has come in the areas of taking care of wrestlers’ health, as there is little more important to cover. While most of the focus has been on the physical side, there is an entire other area to cover and now we are getting to hear about it from some current wrestlers.
AEW has released a new video with various wrestlers and stars discussing the importance of mental health. The video features names such as Powerhouse Hobbs, Vickie Guerrero, Ryan Nemeth and others, all speaking about how much caring about their mental health has helped them in both their careers and their lives. Each individual person is shown on their own rather than together as a group.
It’s a great video. Check out the whole thing, plus some of the people included:

WWE Might Not Be Interested In Signing MJF

Not so fast? The rise of AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works and several of the changes have been very positive. One of the most important things has been the fact that wrestlers now have another place to go. It means that wrestlers have been able to go somewhere else rather than just WWE. One day some of those AEW wrestlers are going to be free agents, but WWE might not be interested in one of their top stars.
Earlier this month, AEW’s Maxwell Jacob Friedman mentioned that he will be a free agent in 2024 and promised to start a bidding war. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, there might not be a strong interest in Friedman from WWE, who have not seen him as a big deal. There is always a chance that WWE could up their offer, but at the moment, Friedman is expected to stay with AEW.
Friedman has been a star in AEW. Check out what he has done there so far:

John Morrison Comments On Recent WWE Release

He has finally spoken. John Morrison has taken to Instagram to make his first public comments since being recently released by WWE 10 days ago. He was among eight superstars who were let go by the company.
Below is a transcript of the video that he released, with a transcription courtesy of Fightful:
“Aquaholics, JoMosapiens, Johntourage, Slamtonians, I want you all to know how grateful I am for the support you gave me during this past run with WWE. I also want you to know that I did, in fact, receive a phone call from John Laurinaitis, during which he told me that my services as a talent were no longer required by WWE. I didn’t even get a, ‘Best of luck in your future endeavors.’ I mean, if you’re gonna let me go at least hit your catchphrase, right?”
He continued, “I don’t know if it’s something that draws people to professional wrestling or something that happens to people when they’ve been in the business for a long enough time. But my mind always races towards ways to pop the c..

WWE Bringing Back Heavily Used Old Storyline

Been there, booked that. We are about to close out the year and that means that it is almost time to start up the Road To WrestleMania. That means WWE is going to be starting to set up their biggest feuds and stories of the year, which could culminate in some major events. WWE is already setting up one of its bigger matches going forward, albeit in a way we have seen before.
This week’s edition of SmackDown saw Adam Pearce leaving Drew McIntyre out of a #1 contenders battle royal. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, this is part of a storyline of McIntyre being screwed over by WWE executives as Brock Lesnar is set to return next week. There is no word on how the two stories are set to tie together or where any future matches will be taking place.
The evil authority figure is a WWE trope. Check out how they have been done before:

LOOK: Kevin Owens Might Want To Join The Bloodline

Call it a recruitment drive? There are all kinds of stables and groups in wrestling today and several of them have been quite successful. It can be interesting to see what they can do, especially when someone new joins the lineup. While it might not happen often, it can make for a heck of a moment. We have now seen quite the tease, though I don’t quite think it was official.
Over the weekend, WWE ran a live event in Roanoke, Virginia. During the show, Damian Priest defended the United States Title in a four way match against Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins and Finn Balor. Owens wore a Bloodline shirt to the ring, though there is nothing to suggest that there is anything to it. Owens and the Bloodline are on different shows, with Owens on Monday Night Raw and the Bloodline on SmackDown.

There’s A Good Reason For Two WWE Stars’ Absences

So that’s where they are. With so many wrestlers around on the WWE roster, it can be difficult to figure out something for all of them to do. That is harder than it might seem, but you can also notice when someone isn’t around. Sometimes wrestlers have nothing to do and they might be given some time off as a result. It turns out that is the case with two current WWE stars.
According to Fightful Select, both Kofi Kingston and Mustafa Ali are currently off television due to paternity leave. Both of them have recently announced the birth of their daughters and will be missing some time as a result. Kingston was written off of television due to a knee injury at the hands of the Bloodline. There is no word on when either of them will be back on television.
Both of them are quite awesome. Check out what they can do when they are back in the ring:

WATCH: Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens From TLC 2020

This is how you make the best of a bad situation. WWE has posted a new video to its YouTube channel in which they show the full Universal Championship TLC match between Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens from TLC 2020. This match took place during the Thunderdome Era.
You can see the match in its entirety below:

From WWE.com:
KO was more than ready for Jey Uso to insert himself into the equation, too. He met Uso with a superkick as soon as he darted into the ring, and Owens didn’t stop there, wedging Jey’s left foot in a steel chair and stomping on it.
Essentially finding himself in a Handicap Match, Owens planted Reigns with a Stunner before seeking to eliminate Jey, slamming him through the announce table with a Pop-up Powerbomb. From there, Owens came within fingertips of grabbing the Universal Title until Reigns fought him off the ladder and drove him through another with a big-time powerbomb.
Far from satisfied, Reigns poured it on furthe..

WATCH: Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar From WrestleMania 33

When legends battle, you watch. WWE has recently posted a new video to their YouTube channel, which shows the full match between Brock Lesnar and Goldberg from WrestleMania 33. In the match, Lesnar defeated Goldberg to win the Universal Championship.
You can see the match in its entirety below:

From WWE.com:
The Beast Incarnate disposed of his most persistent foil at WrestleMania, ending Goldberg’s miraculous comeback run to take the Universal Championship off the waist of the iconic Superstar and install The Conqueror at the mountaintop for the first time since 2015.
It didn’t look like it was headed that way at first, though. Lesnar instantly took Goldberg to Suplex City with three Germans, but the champion stood right back up and responded with two huge Spears. When Brock rolled to the outside to escape Goldberg, he was driven through the barricade with a third Spear.
Back in the ring, Brock attempted an F-5, but Goldberg escaped and ..

VIDEO: Roman Reigns Teases Leaving WWE

I’d call that a potential hit. Roman Reigns has dominated SmackDown for nearly a year and a half now as the Universal Champion. Reigns’ time as champion has seen him smash through everyone in front of him and there is nothing to suggest that he is going to be losing the title anytime soon. But what would happen if Reigns was gone from WWE at some point soon?
Reigns appeared during this week’s edition of SmackDown for an in-ring interview. During the interview, Reigns mentioned that his time around SmackDown could be coming to an end sooner rather than later. There is nothing to suggest that Reigns is leaving WWE and no word on when his contract with the company will end. Reigns also gained a new #1 contender to end the show when Sami Zayn earned a future title shot by winning a battle royal.
That might have been a bombshell. Check out Reigns’ promo plus some of his time as Universal Champion:

WATCH: Monday Night Raw Star Not Happy With Survivor Series Match

Can you blame her? We are less than a week removed from WWE Survivor Series and the show did not seem to inspire the fans as much as it has in previous years. The main story of the show was the battle between Monday Night Raw and SmackDown for brand supremacy. This included a pair of Survivor Series matches, and one participant does not seem thrilled with how her match was set up.
In a recent interview with SportsKeeda, Monday Night Raw’s Rhea Ripley said that she was disappointed that Nikki Ash, her regular tag team partner, was not part of this year’s Raw Survivor Series team. Ripley said that the two of them were both disappointed and that she found it a little bit disrespectful for Ash to not be included. Ash and Ripley lost the Women’s Tag Team Titles to Carmella and Queen Zelina this week on Monday Night Raw.
She’s not wrong on a lot of this. Check out the interview, how they work together, plus Ash on her own and how the Survivor Series match went:
