It’s a good way to go out. With so many wrestlers on any given television show, it can be difficult to do something that makes you stand out. Some wrestlers are going to get extra attention from the fans though and one of the most common ways is if they are the hometown star. That was the case this week, but as often happens, the show was not over when the cameras stopped rolling.
This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite took place in Maxwell Jacob Friedman’s hometown of Long Island, New York. Following the show, AEW President Tony Khan brought Friedman back to the ring, with Friedman using My Life by Billy Joel as his special entrance music. Friedman thanks Khan and said it would cost a lot of money to keep him in AEW in 2024. He also took shots at CM Punk for Punk’s comments during Dynamite and said he had dreamed of wrestling here one day.

That’s a different story. Injuries are one of the few things that can happen to anyone in wrestling at any time. That is not a good thing either, as you could have something happen to someone at the drop of a hat and take them out of action. Some of these are more serious than others, but you have probably heard of most of the more common ones. This time though, there might be a new one for you.
During a recent edition of his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross talked about his feud with Michael Cole in 2011, including a time when he punched Cole in the mouth. The punch hit Cole’s teeth and caused Ross’ knuckles to bleed. As a result, Ross had to receive a tetanus shot and doses of antibiotics to fight off a potential infection. The injury was the same as Cole biting Ross’ hand and the medical staff wanted to take extra precautions.

I give it a 98. Theme music is one of the most important parts of any wrestler’s career. Having the right song can make all the difference in the world, as it sets the atmosphere for an entrance. That is the kind of thing that needs to be done well and modern WWE goes a long way to make everything work out. It works so well that WWE is taking a look at some of their better recent efforts.
WWE has released an Instagram post looking at the five most listened WWE theme songs of the year. This is based on the company’s picks rather than most plays or anything from the fans. Most of the songs are WWE originals, though there is one song that was produced by another band and used in WWE. Several of these songs were introduced over the course of the year. Here they are in order:

We’re back to the pay per views and this time around it’s another pretty low level one with one of the weaker Smackdown shows. The main event, as of two days ago, is now a four way with King Booker defending his title against Finlay, Batista and Bobby Lashley. Other than that we have Chavo Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio in a Falls Count Anywhere match as the second bigges..

It’s a different place to go. Wrestling is unique in that you get to see what they are doing in front of the camera and in the ring, but those wrestlers are on the other side of a barricade. As close as the wrestlers may be, they are still rather far away. That isn’t something that can be changed very often, but now there is a new option in a rather unique way that you do not get to see very often.
Adam Scherr, formerly known as Braun Strowman during his time in WWE, has been announced as the first wrestler available as a hologram for personal greetings. Scherr will be part of the augmented reality service ImagineAR on Famedays.com and will be available for a variety of greetings, including birthdays and holidays. Scherr is the first wrestler to sign up for the service, which costs $4.99-$14.99 depending on the celebrity.

Welcome back. There are a lot of wrestlers on the AEW roster and several of them have quite the fan base. Some of them pop up more often than not and that can make for some rather fun moments. It can be even better if someone who has been gone for a long time is getting to make a special return. That was the case this week and it was a heck of a surprise.
This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite featured a tag team match between the Young Bucks and Chuck Taylor/Rocky Romero. After the match was over, the Bucks and Adam Cole continued attacking Taylor and Romero. Eventually a van drove into the arena and the returning Trent Beretta came in for the save. Beretta has been out of action since April after neck surgery. There is no word on when he will be returning to the ring.

He continues to be better than you. MJF has never been one to be afraid to say what he thinks and take shots at the people and places that he feels are beneath him. He recently did this, when commenting on a potentially major shake-up in WWE, NXT, and AEW.
One of the major stories as of late has been the NXT contracts of both Johnny Gargano and Kyle O’Reilly expiring before the end of the year. MJF made his thoughts known on the subject matter, in a graphic posted to his Facebook page, which you can see below:
In the post, MJF says that O’Reilly heading to AEW is a good thing and Gargano heading to RAW is a bad thing.

This week’s NXT featured O’Reilly being laid out by Von Wagner and Gargano being attacked after talking about how his future was unclear. A video and several photos have been released online, showing Gargano, O’Reilly, and NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa in the ring and around the arena after the show.

We have some sad news to report today as WWE Hall of Famer, Blackjack Lanza, has passed away at the age of 86.

Blackjack Mulligan was a brutish 6-foot-9, 340-pound native of Sweetwater. WWE has announced that they have signed a number of collegiate athletes to NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) deals in order to create a potential pathway for them to be signed to developmental contracts in the future. This new venture, named “Next In Line”, is the company’s latest endeavor to find the next generation of superstars.

We’re in New York again and this time around it’s the homecoming of MJF, which should be interesting. Other than that we have the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal as the company has some traditions going for it already. I’m not sure what to expect here, but Bryan Danielson kicking John Silver’s head in should be good. Let’s get to it.

Here is MJF…..’s music to start, but CM Punk comes out instead. The fans aren’t pleased, so Punk asks if that’s all they’ve got. It’s getting hot in here so he takes off his hoodie, revealing the AEW pillars, including Britt Baker. Not so fast? Relationships among wrestlers are complicated to say the least and they can often cause a lot of issues for the people involved. Sometimes there are going to be some moments that do not make the most sense, especially to those on the outside looking in. That seems to be the case again, as a wrestling couple’s status might not be what it was believed to be.
Earlier this month, reports surfaced that Andre El Idolo and Charlotte had ended their romantic relationship. However, El Idolo seems to have refuted the idea with a tweet of his own, sending out a message saying “Hola! Good morning Mami F…..Fake News”. The breakup had never been officially announced, with the only evidence being that the two unfollowed each other on social media.
