Update On Ring Of Honor’s Future, Roster Not Seeming Optimistic

That looks to be it. Earlier this weekend, Ring of Honor presented its annual Final Battle event, but this year’s version is quite different. The show is the final event before Ring of Honor goes into a hiatus until April. It is not clear what the future holds for the promotion, but now we know a few more things about what is up next and it is not exactly the most positive.
According to Fightful Select, Final Battle was seen as more of a “goodbye” event rather than a “see you in April” among the wrestlers. Several of them were taking pictures with each other and talking to former Ring of Honor owner Cary Silkin. The promotion is scheduled to return in April over WrestleMania weekend with SuperCard of Honor, but no more details have been released.
It was a busy night. Check out the build to last night’s show, the first hour, and the better parts:

Missing NXT Star Says She Is Ready To Return

Welcome back. There are all kinds of wrestlers in WWE, to the point where sometimes you forget that they are still around in the first place. Some of them take some time away from the company at times, which can make for a bit of a sad moment for the fans. That being said, the big return can make it a lot better, and now we might be seeing another one take place soon.
NXT’s Sarray has sent out a tweet (as translated by Google), revealing that she is returning to America after a few weeks in Japan. Sarray returned to Japan in mid-November for reasons that are not clear but is ready to return to America. There is no word on when she will be returning to NXT TV or to the ring. Sarray’s most recent match took place the November 9 edition of NXT, in a loss to Kay Lee Ray.

Several Important Names In Attendance At Last Week’s WWE SmackDown

Location, location, location. WWE SmackDown has been on the air for well over twenty two years now and the show has built up one heck of a reputation for itself. Above all else, the show has spent the last two plus years on the FOX network, which is as big of a wrestling television deal as it gets. People in the entertainment industry are paying a bit more attention to it as of late, and that was on display last week.
According to Deadline.com, several entertainment executives and stars were in attendance for last week’s SmackDown in Los Angeles, California. Here is a list of the executives and television/film personalities who were at the show last week:
• Kelly Kahl (President of CBS Entertainment)
• Matt Cherniss (Head of Development and Programming at Apple)
• Noah Harpster (Actor and Producer)

Ring Of Honor Final Battle 2021 Results

Final Battle 2021
Date: December 11, 2021
Location: UMBC Events Center, Baltimore, Maryland
Commentators: Ian Riccaboni, Caprice Coleman
It’s the end of an era and quite possibly the end of a company, or at least the end of the company as we know it to be. Ring of Honor is going into hiatus after this show for about four months, leaving a pretty big cloud over their future. I’m not sure what that is going to mean, but hopefully they can have a great show on their way out. Let’s get to it.
Pre-Show: Six Man Tag Team Titles: Righteous vs. Shane Taylor Promotions Promotions (Moses/Kaun/O’Shay Edwar.ds, with Ron Hunt) are defending, with Dutch and Moses fighting over wrist control to start. Moses gets flipped into the corner, so he knocks Dutch outside in a hurry. Everything breaks down in a hurry and the three way brawl is on until it’s Vincent suplexing Kaun.
That doesn’t work for Kaun, who is back up with a running elbow to the face. Moses comes back in and gets caught with a Side Ef..

Top Tag Team Likely Heading To AEW For Dream Match

That would make sense. There is all kinds of talent in the wrestling world today and thankfully it is now easier to see it than ever before. Wrestling is so easy to access and there is now more content readily available than any point in history. That makes it all the more special when a big match is featured in a high profile situation, and that is what we might be seeing soon.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the Briscoes are expected to sign with AEW and feud with FTR. The Briscoes won the Ring of Honor Tag Team Titles at Final Battle, after which FTR interfered. This comes after the two have been feuding on Twitter for the last few months. There is no word on when the Briscoes could be making their debut with AEW or when the match would take place.
It was a big moment. Check out FTR’s invasion, plus both teams in action:

One Ring Of Honor Name Has Already Found A New Wrestling Job

It’s a spot. This weekend marked the end of an era for Ring of Honor as the company is entering a hiatus period over the next several months. As a result, several stars are going to be leaving the company, though not all of them are going to be in the ring. There are all kinds of people who are heading elsewhere, and now we know where one of those names is heading next.
During an appearance on the Lehigh Valley With Love podcast, Ring of Honor broadcaster Ian Riccaboni has announced that he will be joining the New Japan Strong commentary team starting in Seattle on January 15. Riccaboni has been with Ring of Honor since 2014 and has been the main host of their TV show since February 2017. He will continue to do voiceover work for Ring of Honor TV for the next several months.
Hello! Very excited to break the news with @LVwithLove with love that I will be headed to Seattle for @njpwglobal to join the commentary booth for #njpwStrong!

Former WWE Star Alleges Racism In The Company, Still Wants To Return

One more time? WWE has been around for such a long time that it can be easy to forget some of the wrestlers who have been around over the years. There are probably a few names that you have forgotten over the years, which makes for some interesting moments when you hear from them again. Now one former WWE star seems to want another chance in the company.
The original Sin Cara, also known as Mistico, spoke with TUDN Mexico, by way of Wrestlinginc.com, and talked about wanting to return to WWE. Cara said that WWE saw something in him and wanted to sign him, but he had to leave for a variety of reasons, including racism. When he arrived in the company, Cara was told to tone down his style and was not given the opportunities that he was promised. Cara blames this on racism, as he says WWE would not want their American talents overshadowed.
Cara was round WWE for a good while. Check out some of his time there:

More On Johnny Gargano/Kyle O’Reilly Leaving WWE, What The Company Thinks

It might be a bit. There have been all kinds of WWE departures over the course of the last year or two and some of them have been a bit more surprising than others. Some wrestlers have been released while others have walked away on their own. Two more of the latter took place this week, and it might be a little while before you see either of them show up anywhere again.
Earlier this week, both Kyle O’Reilly and Johnny Gargano left WWE after their contracts expired. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the current theory in WWE is that the two of them are taking time off from wrestling at the moment, though they both could appear on any show they want at any time. This includes AEW Winter Is Coming later in the week, if the two sides can come to terms. Gargano has reportedly been offered a new WWE deal that is better than his most recent contract. It is not clear what kind of deal O’Reilly has been offered.
There is a lot of talent between them. Check out the two in action:

WATCH: Braun Strowman And FTR Make Surprise Debuts At Ring Of Honor Final Battle

Those are some big names. Ring of Honor is wrapping things up, at least in their best known version. That is going to be a sad moment for the wrestling world as there are all kinds of stars from throughout the company’s history around the wrestling world today. There is still one show left though, and it had more than a few surprise appearances taking place.
There were multiple surprise appearances at Ring of Honor’s Final Battle event over the weekend. First, EC3 debuted a new stable, featuring Titan (formerly known as Braun Strowman) and Westin Blake (formerly known as Wesley Blake in WWE). Later in the show, the Briscos won the Ring of Honor Tag Team Titles. Following the match, FTR ran in and attacked the Briscos, teasing a future match between the teams. The two teams have been feuding on Twitter in recent weeks.
It was a heck of a night. Check out the appearances, plus the full pre-show:

VIDEO: Chris Jericho Out Of The Hospital, Gives Interesting Update

He’s out. Wrestlers are rather different than the majority of the fans who watch them, but there are quite a few similarities as well. Just like the fans, wrestlers have their own share of medical issues, some of which can be rather serious. Something can flare up out of nowhere, which was the case last week. Now though, we have a positive update on what has happened.
Earlier this week, AEW’s Chris Jericho was hospitalized due to a non-Coronavirus related issue. However, Jericho has since updated his status via Twitter, revealing that he has been released from the hospital. In a YouTube video, Jericho has announced that his band Fozzy will continue its tour, albeit without him singing. Instead, their upcoming concert will feature the fans singing their two most famous songs as well as the debut of their latest album, Boombox, being played live. There is no word on when Jericho will be able to sing or wrestle again.

Huge Match With Guest Stars After Last Night’s WWE SmackDown

Send them home happy. WWE produces quite a bit of television content on a regular basis. Counting their streaming shows, there are five shows a week, which can make for quite the amount of wrestling. That isn’t even all they do though, as there are several matches that are just for the live fans. Another one took place this week after SmackDown, but this one was especially big.
According to 411mania.com, the dark match after this week’s WWE SmackDown saw Sasha Banks defeat Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair in a four way non-title match by pinning Lynch. Belair and Lynch are both on the Monday Night Raw roster and were making special appearances. Charlotte and Banks both appeared on SmackDown earlier in the night, with only Charlotte wrestling.
It sounds like a big one. Check out the four in action:

Hanging up the boots. Wrestlers have a weird situation when it comes to retirement. They can walk away at any time, but ultimately there is always the chance that they might come back into the ring.
