WWE Has A New Buzzword And It Sounds A Little Weird

There’s a new name for that. WWE has a lot of things that leave fans a bit confused, and one of them tends to be the company’s obsession with naming everything. Over the years, WWE has renamed all kinds of things from wrestlers to shows to hospitals and more. Now they have another idea that they are moving forward with, and they are not exactly being subtle about it.
Earlier this weekend, WWE presented the first ever Day One event on January 1. Several times during the broadcast, the commentary team referred to the show as a “premium live event”. The term was also shown on a graphic for the Royal Rumble. It seems that the term has replaced “pay per view” as the term for the company’s major events. There is no word on why the change was made.
WWE has had some big events in the past. Check out some of the better ones over the years:

LOOK: Nasty Injury Takes Place During WWE Day One (Slightly Graphic)

It can happen to anyone. There are all kinds of injuries in the wrestling world and some of them can be a lot more intense than others. One of the biggest problems with dealing with injuries is that they could take place at any time. That means a simple fluke accident could take someone out, and unfortunately that was the case again this weekend as a WWE star got banged up pretty badly.
The WWE Day One Kickoff Show featured a tag team match between Sheamus/Ridge Holland vs. Cesaro/Ricochet. Early in the match, Ricochet attempted a 450 splash but his boot accidentally smashed Holland in the face. Holland suffered a broken nose and left the match without returning. There is no word on how long Holland will be out or what kind of treatment he may need. Sheamus went on to win the match for his team.

Top WWE Star To Miss Time With Neck Problems

It can happen to anyone. With so many wrestlers on the current WWE roster, there is bound to be an injury or two every so often. Some of these can be instantaneous while others can take time to build up. Neither is good to see, but the recovery is what matters most. Now another WWE star is injured and we do not exactly know how long he will be out.
During this weekend’s WWE Day One event, Happy Corbin attacked Drew McIntyre, including wrapping a chair around McIntyre’s neck and crushing it. WWE has announced that McIntyre has suffered a cervical neck strain with contusions. There is no word on how long McIntyre will be out of action. According to PWInsider.com, the angle took place to write McIntyre off of television as he is suffering from legitimate neck issues. McIntyre is scheduled to undergo testing to find out what is wrong and how much time he will be missnig.

WWE Hall Of Famer Makes Surprise Return At Day One

Welcome back. There have been all kinds of wrestlers throughout the history of WWE that it is almost impossible to keep track of them all. Out of those wrestlers, there are some who stand out more than others and those are the wrestlers who are often remembered the most fondly. The best of those are enshrined in the WWE Hall of Fame, and now one of those wrestlers is back.
Edge and Miz had a match at this weekend’s WWE Day One event. Miz’s wife Maryse interfered during the match, which drew out WWE Hall of Famer and Edge’s wife Beth Phoenix to chase Maryse off, allowing Edge to defeat Miz with a spear. This comes after Phoenix recently resigned from the NXT broadcast team. At the moment, there is no word on Phoenix returning to the ring.
This could be a big one. Check out Phoenix’s return, plus some of her better in-ring moments:

Huge Title Change Takes Place At WWE Day One

History has been made! We are officially in the new year and now we only have a few more stops to go on the Road To WrestleMania 38. The show is in about three months and there are all kinds of things that need to be done to get things ready. One of the biggest is setting up the title matches, and now one of the biggest changes might have been set in motion.
This weekend’s WWE Day One event featured a fatal five way main event with Brock Lesnar winning the WWE Title by pinning champion Big E. The match also included Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley. Lesnar was added to the match the night of the show after Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Lesnar’s original opponent, was forced out of the match due to testing positive for the Coronavirus.
Lesnar could be a force. Check out the title match, plus what else Lesnar can do:

WWE Day One 2022 Live Coverage And Results

Day One 2022
Date: January 1, 2022
Location: State Farm Arena, Atlanta, Georgia
Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee, Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton
It’s the first show of the year and as interesting as that is, everything has changed at the very last minute. Universal Champion Roman Reigns has announced that he has tested positive for Coronavirus, meaning that he is out of his title defense against Brock Lesnar. Worry not though, as Lesnar is now in a five way for the WWE Title. Let’s get to it.
Kickoff Show: Ridge Holland/Sheamus vs. Cesaro/Ricochet Sheamus has called Holland the replacement for Cesaro in the Bar, while Ricochet eliminated Sheamus from a recent gauntlet match. Cesaro starts with Sheamus, who bails into the corner and brings Holland in. That’s fine with Cesaro, who hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, followed by assisting Ricochet for a flipping stomp to Holland. That looked BAD as Ricochet’s boot hit him right in the face.
Sheamus comes back in for the Iri..

BREAKING: Roman Reigns Has Coronavirus, Off WWE Day One

It is always a risk. The Coronavirus pandemic has wrecked havoc on the wrestling world over the last year and a half, but things are starting to get back to normal. That being said, there is still the chance that something could go wrong and cause a wrestler to be infected no matter what. Unfortunately that seems to be the case again and it is happening at the very last minute.
WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has announced that he has tested positive for the Coronavirus, meaning that he is off this weekend’s WWE Day One pay per view. Reigns was scheduled to headline the event against Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title. WWE has announced that Lesnar has been added to the WWE Title match, making it a fatal five way.
I yearn to perform tonight at #WWEDay1 to defend my Universal Championship. However, unfortunately, earlier today I tested positive for COVID-19. Due to the proper protocols I am unable to compete as originally scheduled. I look forward to returning to action as soon ..

It’s what you do at this time of year. We are finally into the start of 2022 and that can mean a lot of different things. In addition to looking forward, it can also mean a lot of looking back, including at the good things that happened in the previous year. VIDEO: We Might Have The First Royal Rumble Entrant (And It’s A Surprise)

The first of many. We are officially in the new year and that means a lot of things are changing in WWE. Later this month, we will officially be on the Road To WrestleMania, which will start at the Royal Rumble. The show will feature a pair of its namesake matches, with thirty men and thirty women will vie for a title shot at WrestleMania. That is a pretty special list, but now one name is taking up a spot.
Jackass Forever star Johnny Knoxville has posted a video to his Instagram, announcing that he is entering the Royal Rumble. Knoxville said that he wants to start the new year fighting and says the best way is by getting involved in the match. He also said that there was no one who could throw him out of the ring, including Roman Reigns or Big E. Knoxville and the rest of the Jackass cast appeared on a recent episode of SmackDown to promote the film. There is no word on if Knoxville will actually be entering the match.
It’s a surprising announcement. Check out what Knoxville said, ..

WWE Day One Preview, Predictions And Thoughts

We’ve got a new show this week and this time it is based around a new year. I’m not sure how interesting that is for a full pay per view, but WWE has set things up around flimsier premises before. The good thing is the card looks pretty solid and we could be in for a nice event. That is assuming the Coronavirus pandemic doesn’t wreck anything at the last minute. Let’s get to it.
Kickoff Show: Ricochet/Cesaro vs. Sheamus/Ridge Holland This was added earlier in the week and it sounds good on paper. If nothing else, it is nice to see Ricochet and Cesaro getting some kind of a spot, as they so often feel like people just there to fill in time on television when no one else is available. Sheamus and Holland could make for a nice mentor/mentee twist on the Bar, which seems to be the focal point of how we got here in the first place.
The tag version of this:

AEW Rampage Results – December 31, 2021

Rampage
Date: December 31, 2021
Location: Daily’s Place, Jacksonville, Florida
Commentators: Excalibur, Taz, Ricky Starks
It’s the very last show of the year for any company, as this one is going all the way to an hour before the New Year on the east coast. There is a fairly big card tonight with an anything goes women’s tag and Cody Rhodes defending the TNT Title. That doesn’t sound too bad so let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Anthony Bowens vs. Darby Allin Max Caster’s rap is about the booster shot and putting people away like Ghislaine Maxwell. Allin starts fast with an early rollup for two, sending Bowens bailing to the floor in a hurry. Back in and Allin ducks a clothesline and dropkicks Bowens right back to the floor. We take a break and come back with Bowens catching a splash in the corner but Allin grabs some rollups for two each anyway.
Allin heads up for the Coffin Drop but gets knocked down, with his arm landing pretty hard. A twisting DDT out of the corner gives Bowens..

WWE’s Top Ten Moments Of 2021 Results

WWE’s Top Ten Moments Of 2021
Date: December 31, 2021
Hosts: Pat McAfee, Michael Cole, Becky Lynch
It’s not exactly Smackdown but at least it’s a special show. As the title might suggest, this is a Top Ten special for the year, which has me wondering what WWE might count as best. They do know how to pull some good things out of the archives though and maybe they can do that again here. Let’s get to it.
I’ll be posting the full versions of matches rather than the clipped editions.
Cole and McAfee welcome us to the show and promise a big celebration. McAfee is starting big, by bringing out the third host: Becky Lynch. The champ is glad to be here and throws us to #10.

Raw Tag Team Titles: RKBro vs. Omos/AJ Styles RKBro is challenging after officially reuniting on Raw. Riddle goes after Omos to start and gets tossed down in a hurry as the strikes don’t work. The sleeper doesn’t do much either as Omos isn’t playing around here. AJ comes in and it’s time to kick away a..
