Update On WWE’s Future WrestleMania Plans

They have a plan. WrestleMania is less than two weeks away and WWE seems to have the card entirely set. What matters now is selling as many tickets as possible, which is quite the trick for the whole situation. WWE does know how to make people care about their shows, but this year is especially difficult with the show taking place over two nights at AT&T Stadium. It might not be a one year challenge though.
Dave Meltzer appeared on this week’s Sunday Night’s Main Event podcast and talked about this year’s WrestleMania. Meltzer mentioned that the backstage feeling in WWE is that all future WrestleMania events will be held over the course of two nights. This year’s event is being seen as a test to see how tickets will sell for a two night WrestleMania, as WWE feels it is better than the seven hour, one night WrestleMania.
Opinion: This is something you kind of had to know was coming, as WWE rarely goes backwards with almost anything they do. Since just shortening the one night WrestleM..

We’re still on the road to Rebellion and this week features the in-ring return of Josh Alexander against Matt Taven. Alexander is back in the company after a few weeks off due to visa issues and now he is probably going to need a small bit of build on the way to his World Title shot against Moose. Let’s get to it.
In Memory of Scott Hall.
The opening recap looks at Josh Alexander’s return and his match with Matt Taven being set up.
Motor City Machine Guns vs. Chris Bey/Jay White White and Shelley start things off with White still not giving him a handshake. Sabin comes in and a double dropkick puts White on the floor rather quickly. It’s off to Bey, who gets headlocked takeovered by Sabin, with Shelley tagging himself in for a kick to the ribs. The Guns start taking turns on Bey’s arm, setting up a couple of kicks to the chest for two. White’s save attem..

WWE Has Another Legend On Their Do Not Mention List

That’s pretty specific. There have been a lot of wrestlers throughout WWE’s history and some of them have made a bigger impact than others. Some names are remembered long after they have left the ring and those people will still be brought up again throughout the years. However, it seems that there are some names that WWE does not want to mention, not even during a special night.
WWE Hall of Famer Torrie Wilson took part in a virtual signing for the Asylum Wrestling Store. During the signing, Wilson spoke about her Hall of Fame induction speech and revealed that she was not allowed to mention Sable. Wilson had included a mention of Sable in her speech as the two of them worked together during her career, but was told to leave it out. There is no word on why Sable was not allowed to be mentioned. Sable had two stints with the company, from 1996-1999 and from 2003-2005. She sued WWE in 1999 for sexual harassment and unsafe working conditions, with the case being settled out of court.

WATCH: AEW Star Releases A New Music Video And Album

It’s something new. Professional wrestlers are very talented people but they do not always get the credit that they deserve. They are out there in a ring multiple nights a week putting on a show for the fans, but there is more to it than that. The training and effort that goes into getting ready for their actual matches is rather taxing, but some wrestlers are able to do something else entirely on the side. Now another star is showcasing his skills outside of the ring again.
AEW’s Shane Strickland has released a new album on Spotify called Tears. The album features eleven songs, with one including a guest appearances by AJ Francis, who is better known as Top Dolla during his time in WWE. Strickland has also released a music video for the album’s title track. Strickland made his AEW debut earlier this month at Revolution and has since gone on to win his debut match.
He is good at this stuff. Check out the video for Tears:

There Is A Much Nicer Side To Brock Lesnar

The other side. There are very few wrestlers in history like Brock Lesnar. He is a mixture of power, amateur wrestling skills and natural athleticism that has probably never been rivaled in professional wrestling. At the same time though, Lesnar has a bit of a reputation for just being in wrestling for the money and having little desire to do much else. However, he might be a bit nicer than he seems.
Natalya was a guest on the Sports Guys Talking Wrestling podcast and revealed that Lesnar regularly gives wrestlers feedback on their matches. Lesnar watches the matches at the gorilla position behind the curtain and then offers wrestlers advice along with areas where they could improve. Natalya went on to say that Lesnar gets a bad reputation for not giving back but he knows what he is talking about with wrestling.
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that can make for some fascinating moments, as Lesnar does have a reputation for not being thrilled to be around wrestling a lot of the tim..

We are well on the way to Stand & Deliver and believe it or not, something actually happened here last week. Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen jumped the Grizzled Young Veterans last week to wrap up the show, which was the first time there was an angle of any kind on this show. Now let’s see how it is not followed up on this week. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Xyon Quinn vs. Damon Kemp Respect is shown to start and Kemp can’t take Quinn down with a single leg. A test of strength has Quinn down but he bridges on his neck and fights back up. Kemp’s crossbody bounces off Quinn, giving us some quality posing time. The cravate goes on as Quinn has a cut on his nose. Kemp reverses into a chinlock and a running shoulder in the corner, setting up another chinlock. Quinn fights up and strikes away, setting up his running punch for the pin at 5:24.
Result: Xyon Quin..

AEW Will Be Featuring Some Fresh Faces Very Soon

Bring them on in. Wrestling promotions have a lot of different things to balance at any given time in order to keep their fans happy. This includes making sure that they have fresh matches and wrestlers so that their cards don’t get stale. That is a bit easier to do today in modern wrestling with so much talent available, and now some more wrestlers might be making appearances in a major American promotion.
AEW Vice President of Talent Relations Christopher Daniels has announced that AEW has come to a working agreement with DDT Pro-Wrestling. This will allow the company’s wrestlers to appear for AEW, though there is no mention of AEW wrestlers appearing in DDT-Pro Wrestling.. There is no word on when this will begin or who might be appearing for AEW. DDT-Pro Wrestling is a Japanese promotion owned by Pro Wrestling Noah’s parent company and was Kenny Omega’s home promotion before moving to New Japan.

WWE Wrestler Wins Another Major Championship

He’s got some gold. Titles are the most important part of almost any wrestling show as they are the easiest story to tell. You can see someone win, defend, lose or pursue a title and everyone can understand the concept without much trouble. This has worked since professional wrestling began, but this time around someone has won a title that they are not going to lose.
Gable Steveson won the NCAA Heavyweight Championship over the weekend for the second year in a row. After the match, Steveson officially retired from amateur wrestling. Steveson signed with WWE last year and appeared at Summerslam before being drafted to Monday Night Raw in the 2021 WWE Draft. He is expected to begin working with WWE full time in the near future.

Two More WWE Stars May Have A Path To WrestleMania 38

Keep it going. We are less than two weeks away from WrestleMania 38 and one of the bigger WWE stories at the moment is about wrestlers finding a path to the show. In some cases that makes sense, but there are several wrestlers who have one realistic chance to make it to WrestleMania. Now it seems that two more people are ready to follow their narrow path.
The current plan for the Raw Tag Team Title match at WrestleMania 38 includes RKBro defending their titles against the Street Profits. RKBro accepted the challenge this week on Monday Night Raw, but Alpha Academy attacked both teams later in the night. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the current plan is for Alpha Academy to be added to the match, making it a triple threat. There is no word on if any other teams would be added to the match.
Opinion: This isn’t much of a surprise and I kind of expect a fourth team to be added as well to match the Women’s Tag Team Title match. The triple threat concept is a bit played o..

Not So Fast? A Wrestling Injury Turns Out To Be Completely Fake

That’s better, I think? Injuries are one of the few constants in wrestling, but they can also be used as a storyline. Be it in a match or an angle of some kind, a wrestler can fake an injury to advance whatever else they are doing. That can open up some doors for some interesting stories, and now that seems to be the case again, as a star has played off of her own bad luck.
At Sacrifice earlier this month, Impact Wrestling’s Chelsea Green seemed to injure her arm in a match against Deonna Purrazzo. Green’s arm was placed in a cast though she managed to wrestle the following week on television. However, this week Green posted a tweet announcing that the injury was not real and that she had faked the injury to fool “all the marks” and prove that “the internet is f****** useless.”
UPDATED DIRT SHEET REPORT: Chelsea Green shocks the world. Fools all the marks into thinking she broke her arm. Proves the internet is fucking useless.

AEW Star Reveals He Is Out Of Action With A Dislocated Knee

It might be a bit. An injury can take someone out of action at any time, but what can make them even worse is when you don’t realize that someone is injured. Sometimes it seems that a wrestler is gone because there is nothing for them to do, but then it turns out that they are not allowed in the ring at the moment. That is the case with a current AEW star, who has made things a bit more clear.
AEW’s Matt Sydal has revealed that he has suffered a dislocated knee, which has kept him out of action recently. Sydal did not reveal when he suffered the injury or how long he will be out, though he did make it clear that he did not suffer a tear to his ACL or PCL. Sydal has not wrestled an AEW match since the February 21 edition of Dark: Elevation, where hw as on the winning team in a ten man tag.
Thanks for the birthday love. ???
A brief update: I dislocated my knee a few weeks back which is why I haven’t been active in AEW. In good news, there were no tears in my acl or pcl. Gonna do some ..

WWE Announces Bianca Belair Is Out Of Action Due To Injury

That isn’t good timing. We are less than two weeks away from WrestleMania 38 and most of the show seems to be set. There are still some things that need to be added or tweaked, but at least the bigger parts are ready to go. That includes the main event title matches, but now one of the bigger title matches on the card might need a bit of an adjustment due to an injury.
WWE.com has announced that Bianca Belair has suffered a fractured hyoid bone in her throat due to Becky Lynch’s attack this week on Monday Night Raw. As a result, Belair will be out of action for an undisclosed amount of time, though she will not need surgery. Belair is currently scheduled to challenge Lynch for the Raw Women’s Title on night one of WrestleMania 38 on Saturday April 2.
Opinion: This certainly feels like a storyline and I would be stunned if Belair is not ready for WrestleMania. It is going to be one of the bigger matches this year and one of the biggest in Belair’s career. The dueling throat injuries i..
