Commentators: Vic Joseph, Wade Barrett
We’re taped this week and rapidly on the way to the Great American Bash in three weeks. That means it is time to start getting the show ready and odds are some of those things are going to be done this week. One of the bigger matches this week will see the Creed Brothers defending the Tag Team Titles so let’s get to it.
Tag Team Titles: Edris Enofe/Malik Blade vs. Creed Brothers The Creeds are defending. Brutus takes Blade into the corner to start and then shoulders him into it again, only to have Blade come back with a headlock on Julius. It’s off to Enofe for the 619 in the corner, followed by a weird slow motion sunset flip for two. Enofe ties up the arms and pulls on Julius’ neck but some power gets Julius out of trouble. Brutus gets slammed onto Enofe for two and we hit the front facelock.
A northern lights suplex is enough for the escape and it’s back to Blade to..

Injury Update On NXT Star, Might Not Be That Bad

That could be worse. There are a lot of ways for a wrestler to miss time from the ring and an injury is one of the worst. It can cut off someone’s career in a hurry and the question becomes how long they are going to miss action. That can make for some serious issues and unfortunately there is little that can be done other than waiting. Now though, the wait might not be long.
Last weekend, Tony D’Angelo injured his shoulder during a match at an NXT live event. D’Angelo’s match against Cameron Grimes was stopped, with D’Angelo not wrestling again since. However, according to F4WOnline.com, D’Angelo’s injury is not serious and he should be able to return to the ring soon. The next two weeks of NXT have been taped in advance so D’Angelo will be appearing on the shows with no issue. It is not clear when he will be allowed to wrestle again.
Opinion: That is a good thing to hear and maybe D’Angelo was only somewhat injured. Hopefully he is able to get back in the ring sooner than later and..

Jeff Hardy Suspended From AEW Without Pay

It had been previously reported that Jeff Hardy was recently arrested in Volusia County, Florida, on charges of driving on a suspended license, violating restrictions placed on a driver’s license, and driving under the influence.
Tony Khan has released the following statement regarding Hardy’s status with AEW:
“We were able to resume contact with Jeff Hardy this afternoon. AEW does not condone Jeff’s alleged behavior. We’ve made it clear to Jeff that we’ll assist him in getting treatment for substance abuse issues, which he has indicated that he’s open to receiving. In the interim, he is suspended without pay, and he can only return to AEW upon successfully completing treatment and maintaining his sobriety,” Khan’s statement said.
“If you or a loved one needs help, please reach out to SAMHSA’s National Helpline: 1-800-662-HELP (4357).”

And It’s Gone: WWE Quietly Drops Monday Night Raw Storyline

What could have been. There are a lot of storylines taking place on any given edition of Monday Night Raw week to week. Some of them get a lot more attention than others, but the smaller stories are still going to get some kind of time. That being said, not every story is going to be able to go all the way to the end and that seems to be the case again with a dropped WWE story.
Over the last few weeks, WWE has presented a storyline involving Doudrop attempting to make Nikki Ash into a more serious wrestler. However, according to Wrestling Observer Radio, the story is now done, as the two of them were beaten in a Money in the Bank qualifying match this week on Monday Night Raw by Liv Morgan and Alexa Bliss. There is no word on if the two will continue to team together going forward.
Opinion: I’m not overly surprised that the story is done, as there was no reason for it to continue. It was pretty clear that the story was over, or at least not going to go anywhere of note, so I can go f..

Back At It: Injured WWE Star Returns To The Ring (Contains Minor Spoiler)

Welcome back. Injuries are one of the worst things that you can see take place in wrestling as you never know how bad things can be. That is never a good thing to see and the question becomes when someone can get back in the ring. It can be quite the relief to see someone return from an injury and now we are seeing that take place again after a bit of a hiatus.
As shown on Twitter, Shelton Benjamin made his return to the ring this week at the Main Event taping before Monday Night Raw. This was Benjamin’s first match since April 25, as he has been out of action with an undisclosed injury. During his injury, Benjamin mentioned that this was only the second time in his twenty plus year career that he had missed time due to being hurt.

It Gets Worse: More On Jeff Hardy’s Arrest, Off Of AEW TV

It gets bigger. There are very few modern wrestling stars on the level of Jeff Hardy. After one of the most successful tag team careers in history, Hardy went on to become a top singles star and multiple time World Champion. However, personal issues have taken their toll on him, including another DUI arrest earlier this week. Now things have gotten even worse for Hardy.
According to F4WOnline.com, following Hardy’s DUI arrest, WarnerMedia issued a decree that Hardy was not to be used in any more promotion for AEW programming. A ladder match scheduled for this week’s AEW Dynamite between the Hardys, the Young Bucks and the Jurassic Express is no longer being advertised in AEW’s official preview. In addition, according to PWInsider.com, Hardy has paid his bond and will appear in court on Tuesday at 1:30 PM.
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that almost has to happen, and I’m not sure when Hardy is going to be back on AEW TV. If WarnerMedia doesn’t want Hardy on the show, he isn’t goin..

Put Them In: More Names Qualify For Money In The Bank Ladder Matches

Three more. We are rapidly approaching the next WWE pay per view with Money In The Bank. The show is one of the most important on the WWE calendar as winning the show’s namesake match can be a game changer for anyone’s career. Being in the match means you have a shot, and now we know some more names who are going to be included on the show’s card.
Three new names qualified for the Money In The Bank ladder matches this week on Monday Night Raw. First, Liv Morgan and Alexa Bliss defeated Nikki Ash and Doudrop in a tag match where the winning team qualified for the Women’s version. Later, Seth Rollins defeated AJ Styles to qualify for the Men’s match. This leaves five spots left in the Women’s match and seven left in the Men’s match.
Opinion: You have to get these spots set up sooner than later and that is what WWE is doing here. They had to start filling in some of those spots because the show is in just over two weeks. There are some big names already attached to the matches and that ..

REVIEW: Money In The Bank 2017: Climb Faster!

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?

Commentators: Tom Phillips, John Bradshaw Layfield, Byron Saxton
It’s time to climb. Tonight is all about the ladders and the briefcases, which could be cashed in tonight, assuming we have a bit of luck. This has the potential to be an interesting show with a five match card, though two of them are major ladder matches whose entrances alone will take about ten minutes. Let’s get to it.

Monday Night Raw Results – June 13, 2022

Monday Night Raw
Date: June 13, 2022
Location: Intrust Bank Arena, Wichita, Kansas
Commentators: Corey Graves, Byron Saxton, Jimmy Smith
It’s the first Raw without Cody Rhodes in a bit and that doesn’t exactly leave us with a ton of options. The biggest problem would seem to be the lack of a main event star around here, but maybe we can find someone in the Money in the Bank qualifying matches. Let’s get to it.
We open with MizTV with special guest Paul Heyman. Miz talks about the Money in the Bank ladder match and puts over how important the briefcase can be, including his two wins. Heyman says that the percentages don’t matter because whoever wins is going to lose to Roman Reigns.
We hear about Reigns vs. Riddle on Friday, so here is Riddle to discuss various testicles. Riddle is ready to win the title on Friday but Heyman doesn’t think Riddle is even going to win tonight. As for Friday though, he can win, or he can never have another title shot ever. Heyman brings out the Usos but..

Him Again? WWE Announces Surprise Return For Next Week’s Monday Night Raw

Welcome back to WWE. There are all kinds of ways to present a wrestler and some of them are a little more ridiculous than others. One of the best things that can be done at times is give someone something brand new, but if it is too over the top, the result might not be as positive as the company was expecting. That might be the case again, but now someone might be making a return to their old presentation.
The night after Wrestlemania 38, Ezekiel debuted, claiming to be Elias’ brother. Ezekiel has denied that he is Elias’ brother, despite various signs suggesting that he is. However, this week on Monday Night Raw, Ezekiel announced that Elias will be returning to WWE TV next week. Should he appear, this will be Elias’ first appearance since August, when he was taken off television for repackaging.
Opinion: I’m curious to see what they have here, though I’m also a bit worried to see just how they make it work. Elias and Ezekiel is certainly a unique idea, though I’m not sure just how..

It’s Not You, It’s Us: More On Paige’s Upcoming WWE Departure

There’s your reason. Several wrestlers have left WWE over the last few years and it can cause quite the set of issues in the company. Losing that much on-screen talent in so little time can be a big loss, but there are several other names leaving the company without being on screen in a long time. That was the case with a rather prominent name and now we know more about what happened.
Earlier this week, Paige announced that she is leaving WWE after a ten plus year run with the company. During a recent Twitch stream, Paige opened up on her departure from the company, saying that WWE decided not to renew her contract rather than her choosing to leave. Paige also said that WWE was respectful and that Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis said they would keep the doors open, though Paige said “that’s usually what companies say.” As a result of her contract not being renewed, Paige does not have a no compete clause, allowing her to debut anywhere she likes when her contract expires on July 7…
