Cut It Down: Summerslam Match Lost Time After Another Match Ran Long

Call it a sacrifice. Over the weekend, WWE presented its annual Summerslam event, featuring some of the biggest matches of the year. The show featured a series of title matches, including some rather big showdowns. One of the last matches of the show certainly fit that description, but it did not wind up lasting very long. It turns out that was due to another match entirely.
The semi-main event of Summerslam saw Ronda Rousey failing to regain the SmackDown Women’s Title from Liv Morgan. The two went to a controversial ending with Morgan tapping out just before she pinned Rousey, though the referee only saw the pin. It was a relatively short match at less than five minutes, which was due to another match running long. According to Bryan Alvarez, the match had “a lot” of time cut due to Miz vs. Logan Paul running long earlier in the night. There is no word on how long Morgan vs. Rousey was scheduled to last.
That match had a lot of time cut because Miz and Logan went long. HOW ABOUT WE..

WRESTLING RUMORS: Becky Lynch Possibly Injured During Summerslam Match

It’s always a possibility. Wrestlers are some of the hardest working athletes you will see anywhere and they put their bodies through some incredible effort every time they get in the ring. Unfortunately there is always the chance that someone is going to get hurt, which is a possibility for everyone on the card. It very well may have happened again to a fairly big name.
Becky Lynch lost to Bianca Belair in a Raw Women’s Title match during the opening match of this weekend’s WWE Summerslam. According to Wrestlingnews.co, Lynch was seen favoring her shoulder throughout the match and left the stadium with the WWE medical team. There is no word on what happened to Lynch or how severe any possible injury may be, assuming the injury was a legitimate one.
Opinion: This is something that can happen at any point in a match and that is never something you want to see. Lynch is one of the biggest stars in the WWE women’s division and arguably one of the biggest in the entire company and it wou..

Second Chance: News On New Stable Formed At WWE Summerslam

I guess he wasn’t a fan. There have been a lot of changes to WWE in recent weeks and the biggest has been the departure of Vince McMahon. After about forty years of running the company, McMahon has finally retired, taking with him a long legacy. One piece of that legacy is turning down ideas that might have flourished, which very well might be the case again.
Over the weekend, WWE presented its annual Summerslam event, with Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair successfully defending her title. After the match, Bayley returned and was accompanied by Io Shirai and Dakota Kai. According to Fightful Select, the stable was originally pitched to McMahon but he shot the idea down. There is no word on the upcoming plans for the team.
Opinion: I’m intrigued by the idea of the new trio, if nothing else because they are a fresh idea. That is something that has been lacking from WWE for a long time now and maybe there is something to the team. If nothing else, it could be interesting to see what h..

WATCH: Here’s What Happened After WWE Summerslam Ended

There’s one more thing to do. Over the weekend, WWE presented its annual Summerslam show, which was certainly eventful. The show was the first major event following Vince McMahon’s retirement from the company, which meant that things were changing in a hurry. WWE needed to do something big for the show and that is what they did in the main event, though there was one more thing to do.
The main event of Summerslam was a Last Man Standing match with Roman Reigns defending the WWE Universal Title against Brock Lesnar. During the match, Lesnar used a tractor to lift the ring up, which stayed off the ground throughout the rest of the show. After the show was over, Lesnar got back into the elevated ring to retrieve his cowboy hat, which earned an ovation from the crowd.
It was a strange visual. Check out what Lesnar did after the show:

Opinion: This might not have meant that much, but it served as a nice enough sendoff for Lesnar. The visual alone..

An Interesting Goal: How Bryan Danielson Tried To Get Fired From WWE

He had a reason. There have been very few success stories in wrestling like that of Bryan Danielson. Just looking at him, there is little reason to believe that he would become a star. That is just what Danielson has done though, as he has become one of the most successful names in wrestling history. There were some darker times to his career though, and now he has revealed a rather interesting story.
Danielson appeared on the Sessions podcast during Starrcast over the weekend and revealed that he was actively trying to get fired from WWE while appearing on Talking Smack. This would include various innuendos and jokes that he was told not to make, including about James Ellsworth’s anatomy. Danielson appeared on the show during his retirement from WWE due to a series of injuries which kept him from wrestling.
Opinion: It’s a weird thing to say but I can get why Danielson was trying something like this. The situation he was in left him employed but not doing what he loved, which can ma..

One More: Vince McMahon Was Surprised By A WWE Star’s Work Before His Retirement

The right impression. While he might not be everyone’s favorite and while he might not be around anymore, there is no one in the history of wrestling as powerful as Vince McMahon. As owner of WWE, McMahon was able to change almost anything he wanted in the company, including which stars received a push. It seems that someone was able to impress McMahon right before he left.
During an appearance on the Cheap Heat podcast, WWE’s Finn Balor revealed that McMahon was impressed with his heel work as part of the Judgment Day stable. McMahon reportedly did not think that Balor had that kind of performance in him, which Balor said was nice to hear. Balor went on to say that while he had spent more time working with Triple H, McMahon had always been great to him.
Opinion: There is something to be said about impressing McMahon, as he is the ultimate force in wrestling and someone who is always worth listening to. Balor has done well in the role that he has been in and plays a great villain whe..

The Big Return: Top WWE Star Makes Surprise Return At Summerslam

Welcome back. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it can be more than a little tricky to keep track of them all. At some point someone is going to go away for a bit and that can set up a nice return down the line. This could be due to an injury or because of an angle, and over the weekend, one of the biggest names of all time returned with revenge on his mind.
Edge made his return to WWE this weekend at Summerslam, costing Judgment Day a tag match against the Mysterios. This ends a month plus long hiatus for Edge, who was attacked by and thrown out of Judgment Day on Monday Night Raw. Edge was reportedly scheduled to return earlier in the week on Monday Night Raw but the plans were changed due to Vince McMahon’s retirement from WWE.
Opinion: Edge coming back to deal with Judgment Day was a matter of when rather than if and that is a good thing to see. There is a natural story there, though it would have been nice to have the team built up a lot more during Edge’s absence. Edge ..

Summerslam 2022
Date: July 30, 2022
Location: Nissan Stadium, Nashville, Tennessee
Commentators: Michael Cole, Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton
It’s time for one of the biggest shows of the year and that means we are in another stadium. The show is going to be interesting for a few reasons, including the fact that it is the first Summerslam ever not under Vince McMahon’s watch. That means we might be seeing something new this time around so let’s get to it.
The opening video features a country song about Nashville and how it’s a crazy town. The rest of the video looks at the major matches, with Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar not getting that much of a focus above the rest.
Raw Women’s Title: Bianca Belair vs. Becky Lynch Lynch is challenging. They go to the mat to start with Belair running her over, only to have Lynch snap the arm to take over. Back up and Belair backflips away, setting up a release Glam Slam. A standing moonsault gives Belair two but Belair’s arm is banged up..

BREAKING: Bayley Returns At WWE Summerslam Along With Two Surprise Fan Favorites

Welcome back. The WWE Women’s Revolution took place just over seven years ago and it was one of the best things to have happened to the company. The women’s division has been around for a long time in WWE but it took a special group of women to make it matter. Those women are still around today and now another one of them is back after a rather long time away, but she didn’t come alone.
The opening match at this year’s Summerslam saw Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair successfully defend her title against Becky Lynch. Following the match, Bayley returned after missing over a year of action due to a torn ACL. Former NXT star Dakota Kai and former NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai joined Bayley in the ring and had a standoff with Belair and Lynch before leaving without anything physical taking place. Kai was released from WWE in April and Shirai has been out of action since NXT Stand & Deliver on April 1.
Opinion: Fans were thinking that things would be shaken up once the new regime took ..

NXT LVL Up Results – July 29, 2022

NXT LVL Up
Date: July 29, 2022
Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida
Commentators: Sudu Shah, Nigel McGuinness
We’re fresh into the non-Vince McMahon era and that gives me a bit of hope that we might be in for something different around here. Then again those changes might not take place for a good while as WWE has more than enough to take care of with, you know, the company being all over the place. Maybe we can get a little something this week though. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Javier Bernal vs. Myles Borne They shake hands to start and it’s Borne taking him to the mat without much trouble. Borne does it again but grabs an armbar this time to mix it up a little. For some reason he lets it go so Bernal grabs a hammerlock, which is quickly tossed to the floor. Back in and Bernal goes with some shots to the face before grabbing a chinlock. Borne fights up and gets kicked in the face, setting up another chinlock. That’s broken up and Borne grabs a suplex, only t..

KB’s Review: Who Else Do They Have

As you might have heard, Summerslam is this coming Saturday and that means it is time for….well a bunch of stuff we have seen before. If there was a theme to this year’s show, it would be Summerslam: Rematch Edition, and that isn’t the most exciting way to go. There isn’t much on the card that has me inspired to see where things go, and that is rather disappointing. At the same time though, it is rather unsurprising and that is what we are going to look at this week.
Summerslam has eight matches on the card and the majority of the card is comprised of rematches. The show has two rematches from Money In The Bank (Usos vs. Street Profits, Bobby Lashley vs. Theory, and Ronda Rousey vs. Liv Morgan, though the latter has an asterisk due to the cash in), one from this week’s Monday Night Raw (Mysterios vs. Judgment Day) and two from WrestleMania 38 (Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns and Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair).
That’s at least half (or more) of the card is made up of matches that we hav..

Summerslam 2022 Preview, Predictions And Thoughts

It’s one of the biggest shows of the year and that means it is time for a bunch of rematches, because that’s what Summerslam has become this year. Now that being said, we very well may be in for one of the biggest changes in WWE in a VERY long time as this will be the first major show under the new regime. That means we could be in for some surprises and I’m much more interested in what we are getting now that things have changed. Let’s get to it.
United States Title: Bobby Lashley(c) vs. Theory It’s a Money In The Bank rematch and the match has barely gotten any attention because Theory has Mr. Money In The Bank stuff to focus on instead. That hasn’t left much time for these two to do much, but at the same time, what kind of a story is there to tell with them? Theory seems destined to move up to the top level and Lashley is just one of the biggest stars on Monday Night Raw. It could be an interesting match, but that isn’t what WWE is doing here instead.
There is no reason to have ei..
