WWE Celebrating a Decade of Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins

Believe. WWE is beginning a special event in the month of November that commemorates the 10-year anniversary of Roman Reigns and Seth “Freakin” Rollins making their debut with the company.
From WWE.com:
Ten years ago this month, the WWE Universe was first introduced to two Superstars who would go on to change the face of sports-entertainment, Roman Reigns and Seth “Freakin” Rollins.
Alongside their Shield teammate Dean Ambrose, Reigns and Rollins emerged from the crowd on Nov. 18, 2012, to interrupt the main event of that year’s Survivor Series, setting in motion two careers that have forever since been intertwined.
Since that seminal night, The Head of the Table and The Visionary have become nothing short of WWE’s standard-bearers. They’ve won World Championships (including Reigns’ currently held Undisputed WWE Universal Title), headlined WWE’s biggest Premium Live Events and consistently been the talk of the WWE Universe, both as beloved fan-favorites and controversial rulebreake..

Joey Janela Rips AEW Dark, Calls It “Stale A**”

He isn’t a fan. AEW has only been around for a few years now but they have already had a number of stars who have shown up, stuck around for a good while, and then left. Many of them have good things to say about their time in the company, but now one former AEW star does not have the best things to say about one major aspect about AEW’s weekly schedule.
Former AEW star Joey Janela took to Twitter this week to praise the Rey Fenix vs. AR Fox match from the most recent edition of AEW Dark. In addition, Janela criticized the format of the show, which is mostly focused on one sided squash matches. Janela said that stale matches meant nothing in 20222 and described the show as stale. He also said that he would not want to waste time watching a show like Dark as a fan. Janela wrestled from AEW from 2019-2022.
This is what dark should be, all around competitive action packed sprints, and maybe a one longer type storyline based match weekly. What that show does is nothing for anyone anymore..

WWE Changes Recruiting Philosophy, Scouting Talent Again

That’s a change of pace. WWE has a very talented roster of stars but there are times when new names have to be added. There are a variety of places that can serve as a line of talent, with WWE recently looking in one rather specific direction to find its next generation of stars. Now though, it seems that direction might be shifting back towards the place WWE looked before.
According to Bryan Alvarez’s Super Followers Twitter account, WWE is once again scouting for independent wrestlers to sign to the company. This includes Gabe Sapolsky scouting talent at this weekend’s Defy Wrestling event. WWE’s previous strategy had involved focusing on athletes from other sports being turned into wrestlers. It is not clear if athletes from other sports will still be used in significant numbers.
Opinion: That is a nice development to see but it is also not the biggest surprise. At the end of the day, it did not make sense to bring in so many stars from outside the wrestling world with no one comi..

Major Update On WWE Investigation Into Vince McMahon, Staggering Cost Revealed

And that’s that. There have been all kinds of wrestling changes taking place throughout the year but nothing has come close to the retirement of Vince McMahon from WWE. McMahon officially retired from WWE in July, with the announcement coming during an official internal WWE investigation into McMahon’s reported affair with a WWE employee. The investigation continued after McMahon’s retirement and now we have quite the development.
WWE held its Q3 earnings call on Wednesday, where they officially announced that the investigation into McMahon was finished. The investigation came with an $18 million expense, though McMahon had agreed to pay “reasonable” costs for the investigation which was not covered by insurance. The report also says that McMahon can “effectively exercise control over our affairs”, meaning he could run WWE again, but according to Fightful Select, there is no chance that this will happen. McMahon is described as being “done, done” with WWE.
Opinion: This isn’t a major..

New Title Match With Personal Touch Added To AEW Full Gear

The card continues to grow. We are less than three weeks away from AEW Full Gear, which will be one of the few times that AEW goes on pay per view during the year. As a result, the company tends to stack up its pay per view cards, which seems to be the case again. Now the card has gotten even bigger, as a new title match has been added to the show with a bit of a personal touch.
This week on AEW Dynamite, an Interim Women’s Title match was announced for Full Gear, with Toni Storm defending against Jamie Hayter. A vignette aired showing the personal history between the two, revealing that they even lived together in England during the Coronavirus pandemic. This will be the second singles match between the two, with Storm having previously defeated Hayter in the first round of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
Opinion: Hayter getting a title shot is an interesting development as she has seemed to be ready to become the next breakout star in the AEW women’s division. I don’t know if ..

AEW Dynamite Results – November 2, 2022

Dynamite
Date: November 2, 2022
Location: Chesapeake Arena, Baltimore, Maryland
Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Taz
We are less than three weeks away from Full Gear and just over a month away from Ring Of Honor Final Battle so we are going to be in for some pretty important moments over the next few weeks. The big story coming into this week continues to be MJF, who seems to be teasing one heck of a face turn. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Darby Allin vs. Jay Lethal They start fast on the floor with Allin mounting him and hammering away despite his taped up ribs. The bell rings and they get inside, with Allin hitting a running crossbody out to the floor. Cue Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh with the latter deterring Allin from a dive, allowing Lethal to monkey flip Allin ribs first into the steps. Lethal puts him under the barricade and puts on the Figure Four before kicking at the leg on the apron. A German suplex on the apron rocks Allin and we take a break.

Missing AEW Star Appears In Dynamite Vignette, Appears Set For Return

I guess he isn’t done? There have been some shakeups in AEW over the last few months, but some of them have not been exactly clear. This has led to some speculation about who is still in the company and who might have departed, but this week saw a vignette focusing on a name who seemed to have been done with the company. That does not seem to be the case any longer.
A House of Black vignette, featuring Malakai Black, aired on this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite. The video was the first time the House of Black had been referenced in several weeks and followed speculation over Black’s future with AEW. While Black was never released, it was suggested that he would be taking time away from the promotion. There is no word on when Black and/or the rest of the team might return to the ring.
Opinion: This is an interesting way to go and a welcome development. The House of Black is a group that had a lot of potential and I am curious to see how they would hold up if they were able to come bac..

12 Time World Champion Makes Surprise AEW Debut On Dynamite

That’s a surprise. AEW has come a long way in a short amount of time and a lot of that has to do with its roster. The company has put together a roster with wrestlers who are a mixture of current stars, young up and comers and veterans. The company does a lot to build up its roster and now they have added another former multiple time World Champion to the roster.
Former NWA and Impact Wrestling World Champion Jeff Jarrett made his AEW debut this week on Dynamite, joining forces with Jay Lethal and company. Jarrett attacked Darby Allin after a loss to Lethal, which came after Cole Carter helped Lethal defeat Allin. With Allin down, Jarrett said that Sting was Allin’s greatest weakness and blamed the AEW fans for ruining wrestling. There is no word on how what kind of a deal Jarrett has with AEW or what he will be doing with the company.
Opinion: This is certainly a strange way to go but the interesting thing is adding another pretty big name to AEW. Jarrett is a World Champion and som..

Adam Cole Explains Strange Moments Resulting From Medical Condition

That’s a rare one. There are all kinds of medical issues that can cause problems for wrestlers, some of which are rather common in the sport. At the same time, there are some that you do not see very often and those can make for some of the more interesting cases. That would apply to a major AEW star, who has revealed a medical issue he had to deal with earlier in his life.
AEW’s Adam Cole recently appeared on the Wrestle Buddies podcast, where he discussed his previous issues with sleepwalking. Cole talked about how he suffered from the condition during his teenage years, occasionally waking up in strange places, such as face down on the floor. He also mentioned waking up in mid-conversation with someone and waking up to realize what was going on. Cole’s condition seems to have ended before he began his in-ring career in 2008.
Opinion: Well that’s certainly unique. There are all kinds of problems in wrestling but Cole has one of the ones that you do not hear about very often. It’s g..

11 Year WWE Veteran Reveals Locker Room’s Biggest Bully

Is that an honor? A wrestling locker room is often as something like a family, as there are always going to be a lot of different people but for the most part, they tend to get along at least at a civil level. That is not always the case with everyone though, as there is always going to be someone who causes problems, including a certain wrestling legend during his main time with WWE.
During a new appearance on Wrestling Shoot Interviews, former WWE Intercontinental Champion Sean Morely, better known as Val Venis, named John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL) as the biggest backstage bully during his time with the company. Morely said that he considered JBL “a walking home entertainment center” and did not know how JBL was not fired for some of the things that he said. In addition, Morely revealed that he would follow JBL around the arena, just to hear what he would say next. Morely wrestled for WWE from 1998-2009.
Opinion: This might not be the biggest surprise as JBL certainly has a reputatio..

Mick Foley Says He Is Unlikely To Appear On WWE TV Ever Again

One more time would be nice. Wrestlers are in a weird situation when it comes to retirement. Unlike other athletes, wrestlers are able to keep going for one more match or appearance, as they can keep trying for one more big day. Some wrestlers are able to walk away, but it might not always be under the best circumstances. That might be the situation again for an all time legend.
During a recent edition of his Foley Is Pod podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley said that he is more than likely going to turn down any offer to ever return to WWE TV again. Since he is unable to remember a written promo due to memory loss issues, Foley felt that he would be unable to help in the way that he wanted to. Foley said that he did not want to return to WWE, get a cheap pop and promote something, but rather help a wrestler or a storyline. Foley last appeared in WWE in July 2019, where he was attacked by the Fiend.
Opinion: As sad as it is to see, this is one of those things that is going to happen..

WRESTLING RUMORS: Possible Answer To The OC’s Rhea Ripley Problem

She would do well. Getting the right matchup together is difficult to put together for any promotion and it can be even harder with so many wrestlers in WWE. Occasionally they will put together a story that needs the right person involved in the right spot. WWE is in the middle of such a story and now they might have found the final piece of the puzzle needed to make everything work.
Over the last few weeks, the OC has been feuding with the Judgment Day, which has caused what the OC has dubbed the Rhea Ripley problem. The team has not been able to physically deal with Ripley, who has attacked the team multiple times. This has led to the OC looking for someone to help them take care of Ripley. According to Cagesideseats.com, Raquel Rodriguez has been teaming with the OC at live events, suggesting that she will be the answer to the Ripley problem, though this has not been confirmed.
Opinion: Rodriguez would make sense as she is one of the few women in wrestling who is able to come clos..
