There have been some very important developments and changes in the WWE’s women’s division in the last several years, with the Four Horsewomen being the focal point for a long time. The four of them have been huge stars in WWE since their debuts, but at some point they have to be replaced. Now a WWE boss seems to think something special about an upcoming star.
According to WrestleVotes during an interview with GiveMeSport, WWE executive Triple H sees NXT’s Cora Jade as the next Sasha Banks. WWE sees her as having the talent, a unique look and being young at 21 years old. The company feels she has high potential, though there is no word on when she could be promoted to the main roster. Jade signed with WWE in January 2021 and is a former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion with Roxanne Perez.

I don’t think that was the plan. There are a lot of things that need to come together to make a wrestling match work but sometimes all of the planning in the world might not be enough. One little thing going wrong can cause some a major issue and that seems to have taken place again in a crucial spot of one of the bigger WWE matches to take place in recent memory.
The opening match of Crown Jewel 2022 saw Brock Lesnar defeat Bobby Lashley in controversial fashion. Lesnar kicked out of the corner to land on Lashley for a pin, though Lashley’s shoulder was up. As a result, fans have voiced their displeasure with the finish on Twitter, with several being upset about how the match ended in controversy and should have gone in another way. That’s a big compliment. There are very few wrestlers in history who have felt like true attractions but Brock Lesnar fits the mold. Lesnar is like almost no one else in wrestling and that has been the case for a long time now. It means a lot to be considered in the same breath as someone of that caliber, but now Lesnar may have become impressed by one of his fellow current stars.
Brock Lesnar defeated Bobby Lashley in their match at Crown Jewel 2022. During a recent edition of After The Bell, Lesnar’s longtime associate Paul Heyman said he believed Lesnar now respects Lashley despite not doing so in the past. Heyman suggested that it was due to Lashley’s recent efforts, with Lesnar being left feeling that he had a fight on his hands with Lashley.

They have a goal in mind. There are a lot of very talented women in WWE and they have done a great job in bringing the women’s division up to a level that few believed possible. It has been quite the ride to see what has happened over the years and it has been very positive. At some point you need some fresh talent though and WWE seems to be looking into acquiring it.
According to Fightful Select, WWE is looking to restock its women’s division with experienced stars. This includes the re-signing of Emma, along with interest in bringing back Tegan Nox and Chelsea Green. However, Green told Fightful that she has not been contacted about a return and has independent bookings set through March 2023. There is no word on other women potentially returning.

That means there are all kinds of stars available for fans to see, which opens up a lot of different options. Now one of those stars is ready to move on elsewhere, meaning there will be quite the resume on the open market.
According to PWInsider.com, former NWA World Champion Nick Aldis has announced that he will be leaving the NWA, via a private Instagram video. Aldis said that he has given his notice to the NWA, where he is not happy with the company’s creative direction. He is currently scheduled to face Odinson at Hard Times 3 on November 12, with his NWA contract running through January 2023. There was no word on where Aldis might sign next.

That’s rather impressive. There are all kinds of wrestling matches to be had, some of which add something extra to ramp up the violence. These matches make things even more intense than usual and it feels special when you see one of them take place. Another was held over the weekend, and now we know something about it that made things all the more impressive.
This weekend at WWE Crown Jewel, Drew McIntyre defeated Karrion Kross in a steel cage match. However, according to PWInsider.com, McIntyre wrestled the match while “extremely sick”. McIntyre missed some of the run throughs for his match but was adamant about wrestling no matter what. There is nothing to suggest that McIntyre will miss any ring time due to his illness.

He has a future. WWE has a lot of valuable resources with one of the most important being the NXT developmental territory. NXT allows WWE to home grow and prepare its next generation of stars, which has worked wonders for them over the years. It means a lot to have someone move up and now WWE seems to have a plan for its next major call up at some point in the future.
According to WrestleVotes in an interview with GiveMeSport, WWE is high on NXT’s Grayson Waller and plans to call him up to the main roster. However, he may stay down in NXT for the time being, as WWE is wanting to find a special plan for him, in the vein of Kevin Owens confronting John Cena. There is no word on when Waller, who has been in NXT since September 2021, could be called up.

It is difficult to figure out how to make it work that well, but every so often you get a special moment that is a lot closer than anything else. During the match, Paul laid Reigns on the announcers’ table and hit a frog splash to drive him through it. This can happen to anyone regardless of their training or experience level, which can make things all the more worrisome every time the bell rings. Now another star is injured and it came after a huge match.
The main event of this weekend’s WWE Crown Jewel event saw Logan Paul unsuccessfully challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title. Following the show, Paul posted to his Twitter account that he has torn his meniscus and MCL while also possibly tearing his ACL. Paul said that the injuries took place about halfway through the match but did not say when they took place. There is no word on how long Paul could be away from the ring.

They’ve caught the right eyes. Wrestlers are a lot of things, but above all else they are performers. Their job is to get in the ring and showcase their training and skills, which can take years to develop. It can be notable when someone gets the promotion’s attention, and that was the case again this weekend, as two WWE stars caught the company’s attention on the big stage.
This weekend, WWE presented its annual Crown Jewel event from Saudi Arabia. According to PWInsider.com, WWE was impressed by Omos and Logan Paul’s work during the event. Omos lost to Braun Strowman, with WWE feeling that he has been making progress in the ring. Paul lost to Roman Reigns in the show’s main event, where WWE praised his poise and overall work. There is no word on when Paul will return to WWE.

While there have been several different names added in, there have also been some names who have left the fold. It can mean something when those people return to the company and now we might be getting ready to see some of those returns.
Sasha Banks and Naomi returned to the WWE signature intro as of this weekend’s Crown Jewel event. They had not been in the intro as recently as earlier this week. While not confirmed, this would suggest that the two of them may be back on their way to WWE. Banks and Naomi have been missing from WWE since they walked out on the company in late May, vacating the Women’s Tag Team Titles in the process.

That’s a rough way to go. There are all kinds of injuries that can take place in any wrestling match and unfortunately there is little way around it. A wrestler can get hurt doing the simplest of moves and it can derail plans for a very long time to come. It can happen to anyone, including a champion, which seems to be the case again as a reigning WWE champion is having an issue.
This weekend at WWE Crown Jewel, it was announced that Jey Uso believed he had broken his wrist during a live event during the week. Uso is expected to undergo an MRI on his wrist on Monday to gauge the severity of his injury. Uso and his brother Jimmy retained the WWE Tag Team Titles over the Brawling Brutes. They are set to defend the titles against the New Day next week on SmackDown. It is not clear if the injury is legitimate or part of a storyline.
