Homecoming: Wrestling Legend Explains How He Returned For Royal Rumble

It would have been a different way to go. There have been a lot of wrestlers throughout the history of WWE and several of them will pop up again every so often. One of the most common places to see this take place is in the Royal Rumble, which needs thirty spots filled in for each edition of the match. That was the case last year and now we know more about how it all came together.

The Bad Version? Asuka Teases Return Of Former Persona (And It’s Scary)

She might need a change. There are different ways to present almost any wrestler. Sometimes a wrestler needs an adjustment to make things go that much better for them. That adjustment might be something brand new or something that they have done before. A WWE star is now suggesting that they might be returning to a previous gimmick that they have used before, but not in this company.

Tony Khan Reveals Details Of William Regal’s Return To WWE

And there it is. During the media scrum for the upcoming ROH Final Battle pay-per-view this weekend, Tony Khan revealed some of the details behind William Regal’s departure from AEW and return to WWE.
Khan said that Regal approached Megha Parekh, who is part of AEW’s legal team, with a request for the promotion not to renew his deal, as he wanted to return to WWE. Not only is his son working in WWE, but he also wanted to coach alongside some of his old friends now that Triple H has gained control of the company.
Furthermore, Khan says that Regal’s release dictates he can go back to WWE and coach but not be an on-air personality in 2023.

Excuses? Here Is The Surprising Reason Miro Has Been Missing From AEW TV

So that’s why? With such a large roster, AEW has some issues keeping track of where everyone has been recently. There are some wrestlers who have not been around for a rather long time and the question becomes why they have been missing. Now we know something more about a missing AEW star and the reason he has been gone for such a long time.

Miro has only wrestled four matches for AEW this year, with all of them taking place from June on and his most recent taking place on September 4 at All Out. According to Fightful Select, Miro is healthy and ready to wrestle, but AEW has no creative plans for him. There is no word on when Miro could be returning, but there is nothing to suggest that there is anything holding him back from doing so.

It’s the go home show for Final Battle and the Dynamite before next week’s Winter Is Coming so it is time to start hammering home the build for both shows. Believe it or not we have a battle royal this week for a shot at MJF’s….ring, rather than the World Title. That should get a lot of people on the show so let’s get to it.

Maybe Later? WWE Reportedly Canceled Battle Of Wrestling Families

What could have been. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it can be difficult to find a way to stand out. One of the most common ways is to be part of a wrestling family, as there have been several prominent ones over the years. Many of those families still have members active in WWE today and we almost saw two of them clashing over a pretty valuable prize.

Earlier this year, Solo Sikoa, a member of the Anoa’i wrestling family, was called up to SmackDown as part of the Bloodline, forcing him to vacate the NXT North American Title in the process. Sikoa appeared on a recent edition of Superstar Crossover where he said he felt there were plans for him to face NXT Champion Bron Breakker of the Steiner wrestling family. It was not clear if this was a definite plan or just speculation. Sikoa and Breakker never faced each other in NXT.

On Her: Ronda Rousey Explains What Happened During Survivor Series Botched Spot

It wasn’t the plan. Wrestling is quite the difficult task, with all kinds of things that need to go right, most of which can be completely wiped out if something goes wrong. Anything could go wrong at the drop of a hat and more often than not, that is what will get the majority of the attention. That was the case recently and now we know a bit more about what went wrong.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: In Name Only: Vince McMahon Mentioned On WWE TV Again
Last month at Survivor Series, Ronda Rousey successfully defended the SmackDown Women’s Title against Shotzi. During the match, Shotzi attempted a springboard tornado DDT onto the apron, but Rousey’s head did not make contact as Shotzi fell to the floor. Rousey addressed the incident during a recent gaming live stream, saying she had never done that kind of a spot before. Coming into the match, she had been told to protect Shotzi at all costs and became so focused on that aspect that she did not take the DDT as she was supposed to. Rousey al..

Current Wrestling Star Announces He Is Battling Cancer

That’s terrible. Wrestlers have all kinds problems to deal with on a day to day basis and you never know how things are going to go with their careers. In Name Only: Vince McMahon Mentioned On WWE TV Again

He’s still on their minds. This has been one of the most eventful years in the history of wrestling but nothing really comes close to Vince McMahon stepping down as head of WWE. McMahon had been in charge of the company for about forty years and several people have never seen WWE under someone else’s control. Now though, we have heard his name again on WWE programming in a positive light.
During the opening match of this week’s NXT, commentator Booker T. mentioned McMahon, referring to him as one of the all time great wrestling minds. The mention came during a list of other promoters, including Paul Bosch. This was one of, if not the, first mentions of McMahon since he officially retired from WWE on July 22 in the midst of an investigation over a string of payments to various women over the years.
It was part of a big show. Check out some more of this week’s NXT:

Uh, Yay? AEW Star Officially Reaches Dubious Benchmark

Call it an honor? AEW launched nearly four years ago with its first event in May 2019. The company promised to offer several new ideas and concepts, with one being a more sports based presentation. This included keeping track of wins and losses, which can pile up in a hurry. Now one AEW wrestler has reached a milestone that is noteworthy, but maybe not in the most positive way.
