BREAKING: Roman Reigns Has Coronavirus, Off WWE Day One
It is always a risk. The Coronavirus pandemic has wrecked havoc on the wrestling world over the last year and a half, but things are starting to get back to normal. That being said, there is still the chance that something could go wrong and cause a wrestler to be infected no matter what. Unfortunately that seems to be the case again and it is happening at the very last minute.
WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has announced that he has tested positive for the Coronavirus, meaning that he is off this weekend’s WWE Day One pay per view. Reigns was scheduled to headline the event against Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title. WWE has announced that Lesnar has been added to the WWE Title match, making it a fatal five way.
I yearn to perform tonight at #WWEDay1 to defend my Universal Championship. However, unfortunately, earlier today I tested positive for COVID-19. Due to the proper protocols I am unable to compete as originally scheduled. I look forward to returning to action as soon as possible.

Opinion: Egads that is bad to hear, especially given Reigns’ medical history. What matters most is that he is healthy and can get back to full strength sooner rather than later. As for the wrestling aspect, Reigns is in one of the most prominent spots in the company at the moment and I’m very curious to see what WWE does in his absence, both tonight and going forward.
