Monday Night Raw Changed Due To Segment Running Extra Long

Get your watches fixed. WWE has a lot of television to fill every single week and that can create more than a few problems. This includes finding something to do with the time every week, which is a little more difficult than it might seem. Monday Night Raw runs three hours a week and sometimes the planned schedule might not even work out, which was the case this time.
According to PWInsider.com, the opening segment of this week’s Monday Night Raw ran eight to ten minutes longer than originally planned. There is no word on what caused the segment to run as long as expected. As a result, various parts of the show had to be changed around to make up for the time difference, though the main event went on as originally planned.
The opening segment of the show was built around MizTV, with Miz and John Morrison talking about Miz being attacked by zombies at WrestleMania Backlash. After Morrison talked about the various precautions he had taken against Miz, Rhea Ripley and Charlotte came to..

Interesting Note On Monday Night Raw Main Event

That’s one way to do it. There are different ways to present a wrestling match and some of them involve changes that fans are not going to notice. Certain parts of the match are only going to be able to be felt by the people involved in the match itself, which may not always be the best thing. That was the case this week during the main event of Monday Night Raw, which was a bit more intense than it seemed.
According to PWInsider.com, Monday’s match between Drew McIntyre and Kofi Kingston was said to have been in a “pretty stiff manner” as the two wanted to get the match’s importance across. This included a superkick to McIntyre, which left a bruise above his right eye. There is nothing to suggest any issues about the match of the match between the two of them.
The two met in a rematch from the previous week’s #1 contenders match, which resulted in a double disqualification. As a result, the two needed to meet again in another #1 contenders match. McIntyre went on to win the match, e..

WWE Roster Undergoing Special Training Before Return To Touring

It isn’t a bad idea. The Coronavirus pandemic has changed the way the wrestling world works but things are starting to come back to normal. Both AEW and WWE will be back to a touring schedule over the summer, meaning that fans will be back in attendance for the first time in a very good while. That is going to be a big change and now WWE is trying to get its wrestlers ready.
According to PWInsider.com, Vince McMahon has ordered the WWE roster to report to the Performance Center for mandatory workouts before they return to live touring in July. The workouts could begin as early as next week and will included drills and possible matches to sharpen skills. They will take place on days when wrestlers are not set to appear on television. Reaction to the workouts have been mixed, as some do not like using an off day for such workouts, while others feel that they need the extra practice. Everyone from main eventers to lower card wrestlers will be attending.
WWE has announced that they will ..

VIDEO: Andrade Suplexes Ric Flair Into A Pool

I guess it’s a family tradition? There are several famous wrestling families throughout history, many of whom have had all kinds of prominent members. You can probably list off several of the Anoa’is, Harts, Ortons, McMahons and more, but sometimes there are families who might not get the same notoriety. That is the case with a modern one, and now they have a rather amusing wrestling moment.
Former WWE star Andrade has been in a relationship with Monday Night Raw star Charlotte for over two years now. As a result, Andrade has developed a friendship with Charlotte’s father Ric Flair, including spending time with him away from wrestling. Andrade has posted a video to his Twitter, showing him suplexing Flair into a pool. Charlotte is not seen, though a woman’s voice can be heard telling Andrade to do it again. It is not clear when or where the footage was shot.
This is one that has to be seen. Check out the video, plus the two of them in a more natural habitat:

RUMOR: Backstage Reaction To Monday Night Raw Debut

It’s a first step. Commentary is one of the most important parts of any wrestling show. A broadcast team can help steer the show in the right direction, meaning the fans will know what they are supposed to know about a match or a segment. That is a difficult task to accomplish at any level, especially on one of the biggest wrestling shows in the world. Someone tried it for the first time this week and now the reviews are in.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Jimmy Smith made his debut as the show’s new lead broadcaster. According to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, the WWE production staff was thrilled with Smith’s performance, calling him “tremendous” and a “natural fit”. Smith is a former mixed martial arts broadcaster and replaced Adnan Virk, who held the position for less than two months before stepping away.
The RAW production people I’ve spoken with were absolutely thrilled with Jimmy Smith’s performance last night. “Tremendous” & “Natural fit” were two comments concerning his de..

Eva Marie Denies Reports About Her WWE Return

We might be seeing her soon. There are wrestlers who are going to get your attention for one reason or another. Some of these are a little more positive than others, as you can find wrestlers who are much better known for their efforts outside of the ring than what they can do inside. That can often be more important, though now we might be seeing someone getting another chance in the ring.
Last month, Eva Marie’s return to WWE was announced on Monday Night Raw. This comes over three years after her departure from the company, with Eva Marie promising that the Eva-Lution was coming. In the ensuing promos, Eva Marie talked about how she wanted to use her star power to help younger stars. It was not clear if she would be wrestling again, and now Eva Marie herself is weighing in.
Eva Marie has sent out a tweet denying recent reports that she will not be returning to wrestle. Without specifically saying she would be returning to the ring, Eva Marie referred to the people who said she wou..

New Grudge Match Confirmed For NXT Takeover: In Your House

Add it to the card. We are less than two weeks away from Takeover: In Your House and that means it is time to start getting the card ready. There is still a good deal of time to set things up and you can probably guess most of the card from here. The matches still actually need to be set though and now we have a grudge match officially added to the card.
A grudge match was added to Takeover: In Your House during this week’s NXT as Cameron Grimes vs. LA Knight was confirmed for the card. The two have been having issues over which of the two will be able to earn Ted DiBiase’s approval as DiBiase is attempting to find someone to carry on the Million Dollar legacy. Knight attacked Grimes last week and Grimes cost Knight a match against Jake Atlas this week.
This could be interesting. Check out how we got to the match:

Huge NXT Title Match Set For Takeover: In Your House

Yeah that’s big. The NXT Title has gone from a nice idea to one of the more important titles in wrestling today. Winning the title is practically a seal of approval of your upcoming success and not everyone is given that luxury. It is a title that NXT wrestlers have fought over for a very long time now and this time a lot of them are going to be fighting at the same time.
This week on NXT, General Manager William Regal announced a fatal five way match for the NXT Title at Takeover: In Your House. The match will see Karrion Kross defending the title against Pete Dunne, Kyle O’Reilly, Johnny Gargano and Adam Cole. This comes after Cole interrupted a triple threat match between the other challengers to cause a no contest. Later in the night, Cole called out Kross, who said he wanted to face everyone for the title. Regal immediately made the title match.
This could go a lot of ways. Check out all of the participants in action:

We have less than two weeks to go before Takeover and that means it is time to start setting up the card. One of the most important matches will be made tonight as we have a triple threat match between Kyle O’Reilly, Pete Dunne and Johnny Gargano to find out Karrion Kross’ next challenger. Let’s get to it.
The opening video looks at the triple threat match, with all three participants getting to say why they can win.
Pete Dunne vs. Kyle O’Reilly vs. Johnny Gargano The winner gets the title shot against Karrion Kross at Takeover. They start fast with Gargano being sent outside, leaving Dunne to work on O’Reilly’s arm. Gargano comes back in to tie up O’Reilly’s leg at the same time, which is broken up in a hurry. The rather sore O’Reilly rolls outside, leaving Gargano to miss an armdrag on Dunne, who ties up the legs. O’Reilly comes back in to kick Dunne to ..

Hold On: Update On Lio Rush’s Contract Status

Hang on a second. With so many wrestling promotions around the world today, it can be interesting to see where various top stars wind up. It is the kind of moment that can make for some cool moments, though you never know when someone might pop up. We saw a surprise appearance over the weekend, but it might not be something that is going to stick around.
Last weekend, AEW presented Double Or Nothing, featuring the Casino Battle Royal. The final entrant in the match, the Joker, was Lio Rush, making his AEW debut. Rush lasted only a few minutes in the match before being eliminated by Matt Hardy without any eliminations of his own. With his debut match out of the way, we now know a bit more about Rush’s AEW status.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Rush does not have a contract with AEW but he does have a handshake agreement with the company. Rush is instead signed to New Japan Pro Wrestling and has been appearing on the promotion’s American television show. There is also the poten..

VIDEO: Injury Takes Place During Monday Night Raw

It could happen to anyone. As talented as the best wrestlers in the world can be, there is always the chance that someone could get hurt. You can see an injury take place at almost any given time and that is the kind of thing that cannot be prevented. Something can take place in the blink of an eye through pure chance, which seems to have taken place again during a match.
Humberto Carrillo faced United States Champion Sheamus during this week’s Monday Night Raw. During the match, Carrillo hit Sheamus in the face, drawing blood from his nose. According to PWInsider.com, Sheamus suffered a broken nose from the shot, though they were able to finish the match. At the moment, he is not expected to miss any ring time. The two had another mistake three weeks earlier when a match between them ended due to a potential knee injury to Carrillo, who did not miss any time.
These two can’t catch a breather. Check out how Sheamus got hurt plus how the match went:

Molly Holly May Be Returning To WWE

Call it a veteran presence. There have been a lot of wrestlers to walk through WWE’s doors over the years and some of them are a lot more famous than others. Every now and then you hear of a wrestler who gets some extra praise for one reason or another. These are often the kind of wrestlers WWE would love to have around, and now they might have another one.
According to PWInsider.com, WWE Hall of Famer Molly Holly was backstage at this week’s Monday Night Raw in a tryout as a producer. There is no word on if Holly will be working in the role going forward. Holly was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2020, with her induction coming earlier this year after the Coronavirus pandemic canceled last year’s ceremony.
