Samoa Joe May Be Returning To The Ring In A Familiar Setting

He would be welcome. WWE has released several wrestlers from the company this year in a few different waves. With so many people leaving WWE in such a short amount of time, it opens up more than a few possibilities of where they could wind up. One of the places might be WWE all over again, as the company could change their minds. Now one name might be coming back to WWE in a specific way.
According to Fightful Select, there has been a discussion in NXT about Samoa Joe returning to the promotion in a wrestling capacity. Over six names have mentioned the possibility, with some going so far as to say that it will take place. However, there is nothing to suggest that anyone in a position of authority in WWE is behind a push to bring him back to the company.
Samoa Joe wrestled in NXT from 2015-2017, during which he became the first ever two time NXT Champion. His main feuds in NXT were against Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura, both of whom he defeated to win the championship. Following hi..

Two WWE Wrestlers Injured Friday Night

It can happen to anyone. Injuries are a horrible thing to see in wrestling as they can change a wrestler’s career in the blink of an eye. Some injuries are a lot worse than others but it is never a good thing to see a wrestler get injured in any way. Unfortunately there is no way around them, and there were a pair of them in a single night in a single company this week.
Two WWE wrestlers were injured on Friday night. WWE has announced that Montez Ford suffered a partial rib fracture and torn cartilage due to an attack by Otis during SmackDown. Otis attacked Ford after interfering in a match between Ford and Chad Gable. This was not announced during SmackDown and may be a storyline to advance the Street Profits vs. Alpha Academy feud.
The second feud took place on 205 Live, as Sunil Singh was injured during a match against Grayson Waller. Singh announced via Twitter that he had dislocated his right shoulder during the match and included photos of himself holding his shoulder and sitti..

WWE Enforcing New Rule With Released Wrestlers

Make sure you leave it there. This year has seen a lot of changes to the WWE roster, with several names taking their leave from the company. Some of these have been a bit more surprising than others, but what matters is that the wrestlers are no longer part of the WWE. That means a few changes for everyone involved, including something that might impact them later.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, released WWE talents will not be allowed to sign autographs under their WWE names following the end of their ninety day no compete clauses. The wrestlers would have to sign either their real name or another ring name that they come up with later. There is no word on what sort of penalty they could face should they be caught.
Signed items can be rather cool. Check out some WWE instances:

Update On What Might Be Next For Aleister Black

That’s a place to go. Earlier this year, several names were released from WWE in a few strings of roster shakeups. Some of these names were rather surprised, but it was pretty clear that a lot of the wrestlers would wind up going somewhere sooner rather than later. With some, it was a matter of when their no compete clause would expire, and now we know where one of them will be heading when their time is up.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, former WWE star Aleister Black is expected to sign with AEW when his ninety day no compete clause expires. However, the deal is not a guarantee. It is believed that Black’s no compete clause expires on August 31, which would make him available for AEW All Out on September 5. Black was released with WWE along with five other wrestlers on June 2, 2021.
This could be interesting. Check out what Black can do outside of WWE:

News On Top WWE Name Likely For Summerslam

I’d call him big show worthy. We are just over two months away from Summerslam and that means it is time for WWE to start getting things ready for one of their biggest shows of the year. There are all kinds of things that they need to get done before they head to Las Vegas and that includes putting together some top names on the card. That is what they are doing at the moment and now they might have another huge name.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is hoping to have Edge appear at Summerslam. There is no word on what Edge would be doing or who he would be facing. Edge has not appeared since WrestleMania 37, when he lost in the main event of night two to Roman Reigns in a Universal Title match, also involving Daniel Bryan. Edge has been announced for the July 16 Smackdown in Houston, Texas, which will be WWE’s first event with full capacity fans in sixteen months.
Edge has done pretty well since his return. Check out his time back in WWE:

Four New AEW Special Events Set For July

Four pack. Wrestling is starting to recover from the Coronavirus pandemic as things are finally beginning to get back to normal. One of the biggest changes back is having fans in the arenas again, though it is going to take a little extra nudging to get them back in the building. There are a few different ways to do that and AEW is trying it on a pretty big scale.
This week on Dynamite, AEW announced four special editions of Dynamite which will air in the month of July. The events will run on July 7, July 14, July 21 and July 28, with the first show serving as AEW’s return to touring on the road, including having full capacity fans in attendance. Each of the four shows will have a special name, including a pair which will be part of the same theme.
Here is the schedule:
July 7 – Road Rager (Miami, Florida)
July 14 – Fyter Fest Week 1 (Austin, Texas)
July 21 – Fyter Fest Week 2 (Garland, Texas)
July 28 – Fight For The Fallen (Charlotte, North Carolina)
Road Rager will be taking plac..

AEW Dynamite Results – June 11, 2021

Dynamite
Date: June 11, 2021
Location: Daily’s Place, Jacksonville, Florida
Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone
The Friday night escapades continue as we move towards the return of fans in a little over a month. That means we could be in for a big card tonight but there is always something interesting going on around here. I’m not sure what to expect and that can often be a good thing with AEW. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
The Hardy Family Office is in the ring to get things going. Matt Hardy rants about how Christian Cage is jealous over Matt making more money in his career so tonight, Angelico is going to give Christian such a beating that he will never financially recover.
Angelico vs. Christian Cage
They fight over arm control to start so Angelico offers him his leg to keep things interesting. Christian doesn’t fall for that and hits Angelico in the face instead. Some right hands in the corner stagger Angelico even more but he is right back up to pull Chris..

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – June 11, 2021

Smackdown
Date: June 11, 2021
Location: Yuengling Center, Tampa, Florida
Commentators: Pat McAfee, Michael Cole
We are on the way to Hell in a Cell and odds are we have the main event set on the blue side. It looks like we are going to be seeing Rey Mysterio get the Universal Title shot against Roman Reigns, assuming they don’t go nuts and give it to Dominik. Normally I would say there is no way, but have you been watching WWE lately? Let’s get to it.
We open with a rematch of the Usos failing to win the Tag Team Titles and Roman Reigns destroying the Mysterios to let off some steam.
Reigns is in the back with Jey Uso, saying the Usos owe him an apology. Reigns knows Jey is with him, but we have to see about Jimmy.
Here’s Jimmy Uso for a chat. Jimmy recaps last week and wants to know why Reigns cost them their second title shot. Maybe Reigns is jealous, because the Usos could be the champs and have some gold of their own. Jey isn’t Reigns’ brother and Jimmy is his brother’s keeper…

Main Event Results – June 3, 2021

Main Event
Date: June 3, 2021
Location: Yuengling Center, Tampa, Florida
Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Byron Saxton
I’m not sure what to expect from this show and that is a nice feeling to have. Above all else, Main Event has mixed things up a bit in recent weeks and above all else, that makes the show more fun. Main Event went so far overboard with the same wrestlers in the same matches every week and it is nice to see a few things being switched up. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Mansoor vs. Drew Gulak Gulak takes him to the mat without much effort to start for all of a few seconds. Back up and Gulak slaps him in the face a few times but Mansoor gets in a shot of his own. A headscissors with an armbar has Gulak down for a bit this time and it’s a regular armbar to make it worse.
Gulak slips out of that in a hurry and starts working on the leg, but adds in a chinlock with the legs still tied up. That’s reversed into another armbar but Gulak slips out in a hurry for another stan..

Impact Wrestling Results – June 3, 2021

Impact Wrestling
Date: June 3, 2021
Location: Skyway Studios, Nashville, Tennessee
Commentators: Josh Matthews, D’Lo Brown
We’re on the way to Against All Odds which means we’re on the way to Slammiversary, meaning Kenny Omega is going to be getting some more featured time around here. Tonight might be a little short on time though, as we are getting a special bonus match. During Before The Impact (the show which airs before Impact), Josh Alexander defended the X-Division Title against TJP in an hour long Iron Man match, which has gotten such rave reviews that I’ll include it as an extra. Let’s get to it.
Before The Impact: X-Division Title: Josh Alexander vs. TJP
Alexander is defending in a sixty minute Iron Man match. Fallah Bahh is here to sweep the steps for TJP and Petey Williams is here with Alexander. They go with the grappling to start with Alexander being shoved down in a hurry. A test of strength goes to Alexander but he can’t break TJP’s bridge. Instead TJP flips him over..

NXT UK Results – June 10, 2021

NXT UK
Date: June 10, 2021
Location: BT Studios, London, England
Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Andy Shepherd
It’s a title night as Meiko Satomura is challenging Kay Lee Ray for the Women’s Title. The two of them had quite the showdown back in March and it could be great to see what they could do again with the stakes at a high level again. Other than that, Walter is back and that means we could be in for an important appearance. Let’s get to it.
Opening recap.
Opening sequence.
Here is Walter for the first time in about two months to get things going. Walter talks about his title defenses in two days on two continents. Now he is the longest reigning champion of the modern era but his mission has never changed. His goal is to make this title prestigious and keep the ring sacred. And that’s it.
Subculture is ready for Jinny and Joseph Conners next week.
Jordan Devlin vs. Saxton Huxley The bigger Huxley powers him into the corner to start and hits a knee to Devlin’s ribs. A headlo..

Triple H Gives Some Controversial Comments On NXT Fans

That might get some people talking. NXT is one of the most unique wrestling promotions in the world as it serves more than one purpose. While it is a show that airs on its own every week for two hours in prime time, it is also the official developmental program for WWE. This brings an additional layer of pressure of the wrestlers, and now one of the biggest names in NXT has something interesting to say about it.
WWE COO Triple H took part in a media conference call to promote this Sunday’s NXT Takeover: In Your House and was asked about NXT wrestlers moving to other shows. Triple H responded with the following (transcription courtesy of Wrestlinginc.com):
“Do you like it, or do you not like it? Do you have to say, ‘I like it, but I like this other thing more,’ or ‘I like it, but I don’t like it as much as I like that one.’ Just watch it or don’t and stop trying to figure out where everything goes.”
“The fans ruin their own stuff half the time trying to figure out where everything g..
