AEW Star Joining The Cast Of New Reality Series

Give him a shot. Wrestlers can get a weird reputation when it comes to acting. Some of them certainly have skills, but at the same time, a lot of them are only going to be able to get so far. That does not mean there are not opportunities for wrestlers in such a field, and now a fairly new wrestler is going to be getting the chance to show what he can do outside of the ring.
E has announced that AEW’s Austin Gunn, the son of Billy Gunn, will be part of the cast of Relatively Famous: Ranch Rules, a new reality series. The show will see children of celebrities working on a ranch for thirty days in an attempt to get out of the shadow of their more famous parents. The first episode will debut on January 12 at 9pm EST. There is no word on how many episodes will air.
Austin has done well enough in AEW so far. Check out some of his time there:

Stick Around: WWE Legend Signs New Deal With The Company

Stick around for a bit. There are certain names in WWE history who have reached legend status. No matter what they do or how long they might be away, they could walk back onto television at any point and be greeted warmly. That is not something you get to see very often but it can make for some special moments. Now we might be seeing some more of those special moments in the future, as a legend is sticking with the company.
According to PWInsider.com, WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler has signed a new deal with the company. His previous deal was scheduled to run out by the end of this year, though it is not clear how long his new deal will last. Lawler made a cameo appearance this week on Monday Night Raw, appearing in a backstage segment with Nikki Ash and Rhea Ripley. There is no word on when Lawler will next appear.
Lawler has been around WWE for a good while. Check out some of his time with the company:

New Tournament Kicks Off This Week On Monday Night Raw

Get your brackets ready. Tournaments are a pretty simple concept in wrestling as you get to put a bunch of wrestlers together and see which one is the last standing. That can make for some interesting combinations and matches, as you get to have a bunch of wrestlers competing for a prize. That is the case again this week, as WWE now has a new tournament in the process.
This week’s Monday Night Raw featured the first round of the RKBronament, a four team tag team tournament to crown new #1 contenders. The tournament was put together by RKBro, who are looking for new challengers. During the first round, the Street Profits defeated AJ Style/Omos and the Mysterios defeated American Alpha. The finals will take place next week on Monday Night Raw.
It was a busy night. Check out how things went so far and the champs in action:

Huge Grudge Match Set For WWE Day 1

The card grows. We are close to the end of the year and that means it is time to get things going on the fresh calendar in a big way. WWE knows that they need to start fast and that is what they are going to be doing with Day 1 on January 1. The show needs to be big and the card is already looking good. Now they have added another match to the show between a pair of legends.
Last week’s edition of Monday Night Raw featured a showdown between the returning Edge and Miz. The two argued on the microphone for several minutes and a feud began between them. This week, Edge was a guest on MizTV, when Miz challenged him to a match at Day 1, with Edge accepting. This will be the fourth ever singles match between the two and the first in over ten years.
We should be in for a showdown. Check out the two of them in action, together and apart:

Update On Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns At WWE Day 1, More To Come

Keep them coming. There are certain rivalries that you know feel special. Something about watching two people get in the ring against one another feels like something that much bigger and it is always worth seeing. Such feuds are rare, but you certainly know one of them when you see it. That will be the case again soon, though it might not even be the only one.
Last week on SmackDown, Brock Lesnar was announced as the new #1 contender to the Universal Title, with his title shot against Roman Reigns set for Day 1. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the match is set to be part of a multi match series between the two and is not meant to be the final match between the two. Reigns and Lesnar have met several times, including in October at Crown Jewel with Reigns retaining the title.
These two have been at it a few times. Check out what they have done before:

Jeff Hardy Reportedly Sent Home From WWE Tour

That doesn’t sound great. There are some cases in wrestling where you can certainly see the talent but for one reason or another, something keeps getting in the way. It could be a variety of reasons, and sometimes those are not the wrestler’s fault. That can make for some rather depressing headlines, and that seems to be the case again with a current WWE legend.
According to PWInsider.com, Jeff Hardy was sent home from WWE’s live events and did not appear at Sunday’s live event in Corpus Christi, Texas as advertised. Hardy teamed with King Woods and Drew McIntyre in a six man tag on Saturday night and after tagging out to McIntyre, he left through the crowd, followed by security. He did not return after the match was over to celebrate. Hardy was said to have looked more “sluggish” throughout the match. There is no word on what is wrong with Hardy or when he will be back on television.
Hardy is a heck of a star when he is around. Check out what he can do when he is able:

WATCH: Emotional And Cryptic Promo After NXT WarGames

The emotional way to go. There have been a lot of changes in WWE over the last year and a half and NXT has been changed more than almost anything else. The show is now almost nothing like what it was before, but one of the few constants has been some of the wrestlers. However, now it seems that we might be seeing one of the wrestlers around for a little while longer, but it might be a very little while.
The main event of this weekend’s NXT WarGames event saw Team 2.0 defeat Team Black & Gold, with Johnny Gargano on the losing team. Gargano had suggested that he would be leaving NXT soon and his contract is set to expire later this week. After the show went off the air, Gargano spoke to the crowd, thanking the fans for supporting him over the years. Gargano also mentioned that he would reveal his future plans this week on NXT.
This is quite the speech. Check out what Gargano had to say plus what he has done in NXT:

VIDEO: Three Released WWE Stars Make Surprise Appearances

Welcome back. There have been a lot of wrestlers released from WWE over the last year and a half. Those moves have changed the way the wrestling world works and that is not likely to be changing anytime soon. That makes for some rather interesting changes as other promotions are able to pick up some of the wrestlers here and there. That seems to be the case in triplicate this time around.
Three recently released WWE wrestlers made appearances of some sort over the weekend. First, Taya Valkyrie, formerly known as Frankie Monet in NXT, appeared at AAA TripleMania and said that she was coming for Deonna Purrazzo Reina de Reinas Title. Also, former Universal Champion Braun Strowman, wrestling under his real name of Adam Scherr, appeared at GLCW Blizzard Brawl. The event was a charity show for the victims of the Waukesha, Wisconsin parade. Finally, Scarlett Bordeaux appeared at an MCW Pro Wrestling event, interfering in a match and attacking King McBride.
These were some cool moments. Che..

Good News On Why Vince McMahon Has Been Working With Austin Theory

It’s a good reason. There is no one as powerful or influential in the wrestling world as Vince McMahon. After several decades in charge of WWE, McMahon is still the force in wrestling and someone who can change someone’s career in the blink of an eye. That is what he might be doing again with a younger star who has not been around long but already has a hit on his hands.
Austin Theory and Vince McMahon have interacted over the last two weeks on Monday Night Raw. On the November 22 edition, Theory revealed that he stole Cleopatra’s egg from McMahon and received a WWE Title match as a result. On November 29, Theory and McMahon watched the show together in McMahon’s office. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this is due to Theory’s WWE Title match against Big E. being a hit, including with teenage viewers.
Theory could be the next big thing. Check out what he has been up to:

WRESTLING RUMOR: WWE Loses Another Star, Already Appears Elsewhere

Catch him down the road. There are a lot of wrestlers under the WWE umbrella today, but some of them are going to get a bit less attention than others. Some of them are over in NXT UK, which is often about as far off of the radar as you can get in WWE, allowing it to put on a different kind of product. Now though, one of them will not be around NXT UK any longer.
According to Bodyslam.net, NXT UK’s Joseph Conners is gone from WWE and is officially a free agent. It is not clear why Conners left or whose decision it was for him to leave. This comes after Conners disappeared from NXT UK TV, with Jinny announcing that her business relationship with Conners was over. Conners has since made an appearance at a British Wrestling Revolution event.
