AEW Star Out Of Action With Injury, Already Missing For Months

That could change things. Injuries are never good to see in the wrestling world as they can shake up the status quo in a hurry. That is never a positive thing and then it becomes more about waiting to see just how bad things are. It seems that is the case again now, as an AEW star in injured. Unfortunately, it is the kind of injury that could keep more than one person out of action.
According to Fightful Select, AEW’s Marq Quen is out with an injury, which has kept him out of action since the October 11 edition of Dark: Elevation. It is not clear when the injury took place or what kind of an injury Quen has. With Quen on the shelf, his regular Private Party tag partner Isaiah Kassidy has been wrestling with him, often as part of the Hardy Family Office. There is no word on when Quen will be able to return to the ring.
Private Party is a heck of a team when Quen is available. Check out the team in action:

NXT Live Coverage And Results – December 14, 2021

NXT
Date: December 14, 2021
Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida
Commentators: Wade Barrett, Vic Joseph
It’s another new era as Johnny Gargano and Kyle O’Reilly are both gone, at least for the time being. That means we might be in for some new names, but ultimately that might not be the best thing. Some of the new generation has done well, but there are more than a few who haven’t been the most thrilling. Let’s get to it.
We open with a recap of Grayson Waller attacking Johnny Gargano to end last week’s show.
Waller arrives and gets booed by a bunch of fans, so he films a bit of the reaction.
We recap Cameron Grimes vs. Duke Hudson. Grimes has beaten Hudson in poker and a match, including cutting off some of Hudson’s hair. Tonight is the final fight, no holds barred.

Tommaso Ciampa Announces Very Cool NXT Auction For Charity

It’s for a good cause. Wrestling is a business and ultimately that means trying to make fans give up their money. That can be easier said than done, but there are times that make fans want to hand it over as fast as they can. It might be for a ticket, a new shirt, or getting to watch a show at home. This time though, some wrestlers are trying to get fans to pay for something for a better cause.
NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa has announced that NXT will be auctioning off ten event used items from last week’s WarGames event. All proceeds will be donated to the United For Waukesha Community Fund, following the car attack during the Waukesha, Wisconsin Christmas parade. To bid on the autographed items, go to Ebay.com and search “We are NXT Waukesha”.

WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Star Likely Getting Name Change

Back to the old. A name is one of the most important parts of a wrestler’s overall persona as it tells the people a lot about what they are seeing. The wrong name can cause a lot of problems for a wrestler but thankfully there are ways to fix the problem. WWE has a lot of fixing to do and for once it seems like they are actually going to do something about one of their problems.
According to Wrestlingnews.co, WWE has filed a trademark on the name “Piper Niven”, which is the former name of current Monday Night Raw star Doudrop. During Doudrop’s debut earlier this year, Eva Marie said she did not want to hear her name and dubbed her Doudrop instead. The name has stuck, even after Eva Marie’s departure from WWE. There has been no mention of the Niven name so far on Monday Night Raw.
Doudrop has been a force during her time on Monday Night Raw. Check out some of her work on the show:

WATCH: Future WWE Star Makes Monday Night Raw Appearance

He’s a special guest star. All wrestlers are athletes, but there is always a certain stigma about their athletic status. As a result, WWE often tries to tie themselves to more mainstream athletics whenever they can. It can be even better when a “real” athlete joins the promotion, and one such athlete was on hand this week in something of a special preview.
Olympic Gold Medal winning wrestler and WWE signee Gable Steveson was in attendance for this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw. Steveson sat in the front row and was greeted by Bobby Lashley during the show. Steveson is signed to a name, image and likeness contract with WWE and is expected to join the company following the end of the college wrestling season as he tries to defend his NCAA wrestling title. Back in October, Steveson was drafted to Monday Night Raw.
Steveson has been around a bit before. Check out his time in WWE:

REVIEW: SmackDown – December 16, 2005: We’ve Got Druids

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?

It’s the go home show for Armageddon and that means it’s going to be a lot more about Undertaker vs. Randy Orton. That’s the most logical way to go when there isn’t much else of note on the card. We do have the Raw vs. Smackdown tag match, but that’s hardly the most thrilling story in the world. Let’s get to it.

PHOTOS: WWE Monday Night Raw Attendance Is Rather Pitiful

That’s a bad look. To say that WWE has had some issues maintaining their audience in recent years would be a huge understatement. WWE has made various decisions that have alienated more than a few fans and the results seem to be mounting up. This can be seen both in the number of fans watching at home, and now the ones watching from inside the arena.
This week’s Monday Night Raw was held at the Xcel Energy Arena in St. Paul, Minnesota. Photos from the event have made their way online, showing most of the hard camera side of the arena empty, with the majority of the seats tarped over. The photos are from early in the night, including the Main Event taping before Monday Night Raw and the opening segment of the show.

WATCH: Becky Lynch Blames A Fan For Loss (And It’s Awesome)

Someone has to be to blame. Wrestlers have a complicated relationship with their fans. While they want to make fans happy, there are wrestlers whose job it is to make them angry enough to pay to see the wrestler get beaten up. These wrestlers have their work cut out for them, but one of them did so well at her job last week that she knew exactly who to blame.
Last week’s post SmackDown dark match saw Sasha Banks defeat Becky Lynch, Charlotte and Bianca Belair in a fatal four way when Banks pinned Lynch. Following the match, Lynch yelled at a young fan in the front row, blaming her distractions for the loss. Lynch also said that the next time she was in town, it would he her against the fan. Later, Lynch responded to a tweet about the interaction, saying she was petitioning to have the fan banned from all future WWE events.

LOOK (With Caution): Wrestler Stabs Referee, Police Get Involved

It could have been worse. A lot of things happen in the wrestling world every day and some of them are a lot more serious than others. Unfortunately there are going to be a few things that are absolutely horrible and serious, including those involving someone’s health. That was the case with a recent incident, and now fans are being asked to help with the situation.
Over the weekend, a referee was stabbed by a wrestler during the World Class Revolution “Christmas Star Wars” event in Irving, Texas. The match’s original plan did call for the wrestler, Devon Nicholson, to attack the referee, Lando Deltoro, but the situation went further than planned. According to fellow referee Colby Cowperwaithe (who was at the event but not the attacked referee) via Reddit, Deltoro was supposed to cut himself, but his blade did not work. Instead, Nicholson cut Deltoro but went far too deep and cut Deltoro’s artery. Cowperwaithe also believes that Nicholson was intoxicated during the match.

WWE Title Match Gets Shaken Up With New Challenger

Make another seat. There are all kinds of titles around the wrestling world but very few mean as many as the WWE Title. It is the signature title of the biggest wrestling company in the world and that is going to get some special attention no matter what. Winning the title means quite a bit, and now another wrestler is going to be getting his chance at winning the title.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Bobby Lashley was officially added to the WWE Title match at Day One. The match had previously included WWE Champion Big E., Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens. Lashley wanted to be added to the match, so WWE executives Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville agreed, but only if Lashley could defeat all three. Later in the night, Lashley defeated Owens by submission and Rollins and Big E. by pinfall, earning his spot in the match. Day One takes place on January 1.
It was a busy night for Lashley. Check out what he had to do to make it to Day One:

Huge Title Rematch Added To WWE Day One Card

Take two. We are less than three weeks away from WWE Day One and the card is starting to come together. With so little time left before the show, it is time to start hammering down all of the details, including adding some of the title matches. That was the case this week, as a pretty big rematch was officially set for the card, albeit only after the challenger got taken out.
Last week on Monday Night Raw, Becky Lynch cheated to retain the Raw Women’s Title over Liv Morgan. This week, Morgan challenged Lynch to a rematch at Day One, knowing that Lynch needed to cheat to beat her. Lynch did not immediately accept the challenge, instead getting in a brawl with Morgan first. The fight would head outside, where Morgan’s arm was stomped against the steps several times. Lynch would then accept the match.
It was a busy night. Check out how we got to the Day One title match:

Monday Night Raw Live Coverage And Results – December 13, 2021

Monday Night Raw
Date: December 13, 2021
Location: Xcel Energy Center, St. Paul, Minnesota
Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton
We’re less than three weeks away from Day One and the card seems to be at least somewhat set. That being said, it seems that we might be seeing a new addition to the Raw main event in the form of Bobby Lashley. It wouldn’t surprise me to see the change made official tonight so let’s get to it.
We open with a recap of last week’s cage match with Big E. defeating Kevin Owens, followed by Bobby Lashley laying out Owens, Big E. and Seth Rollins.
Here are MVP and Bobby Lashley to get things going. MVP says last week is what happens when you disrespect Lashley and that’s a problem with this generation. That’s why it is imperative to have Lashley added to the Day One WWE Title match, because that’s a great way to start the year.
Cue Kevin Owens to say he hasn’t been disrespecting the two of them because he hasn’t been paying attention to anything..
