The WWE SmackDown ratings data and viewership information are in for this week’s show, and the blue brand saw their numbers get a nice jump for last night’s show. The taped episode from Manchester, which saw more Survivor Series build, Becky Lynch finally getting her hands on James Ellsworth, and AJ Styles winning the WWE World Title from Jinder Mahal, drew 2.603 million viewers. This is almost half a million more viewers than last week’s show.

Call it luck, or call it fans wanting to see Jinder Mahal finally lose the WWE Title, but obviously, something clicked with last night’s show. WWE themselves broke the news that the title change had taken place, along with spoilers getting out all over social media. Maybe it’s actually a case of fans wanting to see someone they really like and enjoy win the title. Whatever it was, it caused the SmackDown ratings to increase nicely.

SmackDown Live was #8 in viewership for this week on cable, fallingbehind Hannity, Curse of Oak Island, Rachel Maddow, Tucker Carlson, The Ingraham Angle, The Story, and Special Report. SmackDown Live was #3 in the 18-49 demographic, falling behind American Horror Story and ESPN’s 30 For 30 special on WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, which was #1.

The show garnered a .82 cable rating in the 18-49 demographic, which is up from last week’s .65 cable rating in the same demographic.
